Awesome man. I just built this preset off this video. Sounds great! For some reason the Matchbox amp was still a bit dirty for me. Could be the EMG pickups, but I switch to band commander and that solved the problem!
It's right on the edge for me, and when I switch to my bridge pickup it distorts quite a bit too. I'd guess it's the high output of the emgs but it looks like you found a solution!
Yeah I have been using your preset with my old quadraverb for extra reverb ambience, and using an external momentary switch set as pedal 1 continuous to increase the reverb time increase/delay feedback as well as modify the mix to increase in the pitch block! I am so grateful you uploaded this awesome patch!
amazing.. i have the AX8 and wooosshh we have only one reverb ! worked it out with a modulation any help would be wonderful. And again your work is incredible !
I followed your tutorial on my fx8 and it sounded pretty close except for that string sound that follows the the end of the chords. What is different on my fx8 other than not having the amp and cab settings? When I hit the chord Im getting a stuttered shimmer sound thats broken up. I copied the block settings exactly like the video.
Hey awesome stuff! Quick question, how do the delays and verbs compare to the timeline and bigsky? I am considering selling both to get an axe. Anyone here have experience with both?
I have an AX8, which won't allow dual reverbs. Wondering what the best way to set this up for the AX8 would be. Obviously, it won't sound the same, but hopefully it will be close enough. Wes
How yould you swicth a channel or amp block (one for cleans and one for distortion) and also turn those effects on and off during a song, without stop playing? Also not using the MFC 101 pedalboard?
You can set up 8 different scenes for each preset, with different combinations of blocks enabled. Then you can use any MIDI controller to switch between the scenes, or I think there's a way to advance through them with a footswitch.
Hello; i have a problem.. I'm using axe fx 2 about 10 months and still i couldnt figure it out.. Clean tones sound dirty like little bit overdrived.. I found this video while searching for a solution and i did the same settings like yours but it is still giving dirty tone.. What do you think? Is My axe fx damaged? Can you help me?
I think you're referring to the rack case? If so that's a 6u Pro Stage Gear 18" rack case. Unfortunately, I don't believe PSG makes rack cases anymore. If you're referring to the guitar cab it's sitting on, that's a Mesa Boogie 3/4 back 2x12, but none of the sounds in this video are coming from that. It's all direct. Thanks for watching! -Bruce
Do you think that a similar signal chain would be doable on other racks as Bias or Kemper Profiler? Anyway awesome video and music, looking forward for your next releases as a Pray for Sound fan :D
Absolutely! At it's core, really all it takes to make something similar would be a clean amp on the verge of breakup, a shimmery parallel reverb, a lo-fi tape delay, and a subtle spring reverb. Something similar should definitely be doable with Bias, Kemper, or really any other rig that has delay and reverb. Good luck and thanks for the kind words!
I listened to this band's music because I was very curious what "post-rock" sounds like. So I'm hearing distortion, power chords, heavy backbeat, etc... So in conclusion, post-rock sounds like rock and not a new, original, inventive, differentiated form that the somewhat pompous term "post-rock" implies.
Thanks for the cool preset walkthrough! Wish there were more videos like this.
I'm back and dialing this in with my FM9 now. :)

This is incredible! I have an AX8 and will try to duplicate this. It's my perfect clean/ambient tone. Kudos to you!
Wes
lovely tone and use of verb and delay..
Thanks for the video brother. Very cool. Just got my Axe FX ll and I couldn't be happier with it. That's a awesome clean tone !!!
thank you so much! I had a preset I lost on my strymon timeline ICE setting, and this sounds even better. You are awesome, great playing/dynamics/feel
Thanks for the kind words! The Strymon stuff was definitely an inspiration in this preset's creation!

Can you guys do a lesson on monophonic? Or tabs? Song is amazing
Here you go! www.prayforsound.com/tabs/PFS_Monophonic_tabs.zip
Does it matter if u start the amp and cab from the very left? Or preffered towarda middle?

Could probably get decently close without the spring reverb at the end of the series line.
Do you have a link to the forum post with all those delay blocks?
+ChelleeGuitars You can download them here: www.simeonharris.co.uk/Blocks/blocks.html
If you like them, he also has a donation page setup :)
