That trio could swing like nobody's business. The fingers of Wilson and Goodman, and... everything that Krupa brings to the party. We're lucky to be living in an age where music performances have been recorded for audio, for video, and, now, never more as widely disseminated. Thank you for posting!
For young people to be able to hear this music by Benny is a fortunate set of circumstances; in this way they might have an inclination to practice and continue his legacy. Roger Plafkin--Plafkin Farms, Ada, Michigan
This is a from a live special, "Allen In Movieland" (which featured Steve Allen and Benny Goodman, "behind the scenes", during the filming of "The Benny Goodman Story", which was released later that year).
Yes I saw him many times and played a club date where he was an act and played disc jokey jump with the band. This was close to his death. I was so embarrassed because he rehearsed the band on my drum set and the bass drum kept moving. I got his autograph anyway, a real fine gentelman
Oh! Yeah! With the never-perspiring ever smiling Gene on drums. As a worthwhile tribute see what some young kids do with this @ "China Boy (Saint Andreu jazz band) by Rodrigues" Surprise yourselves, do.

How is liking jazz music screwy? It’s the best music to ever be created :)

Wish they knew how to mic the drums better back then. But this is a treat to see Krupa play even if there were no sound.

Teddy Wilson as usually, great.
