The reason they say they "don't study" is TO MAKE OTHERS NOT TO STUDY, so that they can excel in results by 'studying secretly'. NEVER believe what others say, and just FOCUS ON YOUR OWN WORK AND PATH THAT ARE IN FRONT OF YOU.
I think most people say that because they think whataver they have studied is not enough and there is much more they haven't studied yet, they think they don't have full understanding of the subject so prefer not to say that
I love how well researched you are. Constantly telling the audience facts about the place even though you are the visitor. This makes all your videos highly informative.
@@GhibOjisan but Japan has vending machines that dispenses cigarettes and beer! I don't smoke but that kinda shows that vending machine in Japan has everything haha

Hello! Thanks for these videos! They're really entertaining. Hope you'll get to visit other interesting places in Singapore too! (Try Pulau Ubin, Tiong Bahru, or Geylang!) Looking forward to more videos!
This randomly got recommended to me and has given me updates about my own faculty that I did not know (namely the main course dispensing vending machines)
The biggest flaw in the eyes of my Japanese professor when I was still a student in NUS 14 years ago was the fact that so many of us in the Arts Faculty wore slippers/flip flops to class...😅😅😅😅
But one of the biggest perks for singaporean students haha, Singaporeans love our flip flops esp in school since we say bye bye to them when work starts for most
You should also visit NTU(Nanyang Technological University). There are award winning school buildings and a strong heritage of Chinese culture there, as it used to be a Chinese university founded by the Singaporean Chinese popularity. :)
You could also visit The Japanese Cemetery Park (日本人墓地公園; rōmaji: Nihonjin bochi kōen), a Japanese cemetery and park in Hougang, Singapore. It is the largest Japanese cemetery in Southeast Asia at 29,359 square meters, consisting of 910 tombstones that contain the remains of members of the Japanese community in Singapore.
In Utown, there is also a piece of the berlin wall behind the dorms, which not many people know about (it was a gift from germany to mark the countries’ friendship)
So many comments here about perverts in NUS, its seriously painting a warped image of the university to foreigners. Just keep in mind that those incidences are limited to an extremely small population of students in NUS, and are frankly not that much.

Oh gosh, NUS has changed so much from those days when I was an undergraduate there LOL. The canteen is so-o-o-o Huge! Even the shuttle bus looks nicer too. Hahaha
Thank you for visiting NUS! Just to add that there are actually three types of dorms in NUS, the one you went to is the more common ones. But there are others that doesn’t need so much commitments to continue staying.

If you're free on the weekdays, you can go cycling along East Coast Park to enjoy the serenity and beachside views. This is only possible on weekdays as the East Cost Park, Airport and Gardens by the Bay route is totally empty during this times as most locals are at work.
Sorry but I feel I need to correct this as it is a misrepresentation of the school. At about 23:40 you both enter a "dorm", but this is in fact Yale-NUS which is a separate university from NUS. If he wanted to enter a dorm he should have gone to one of the Residential Colleges. Edit: So basically, the area they walk through after 23:40 is not a regular NUS dorm area but instead a campus on itself, just in case anyone got the wrong impression.
@Soga Oh I didn't mean that shot, but the area you took him through afterwards. Yale NUS and NUS are separate in terms of curriculum, amenities, admissions, teaching staff, administration etc, so I would not consider them the same university. While in RCs, you actually take the same classes and end up getting awarded the same cert as the rest of the student body, Yale-NUS certs are awarded by NUS yet are distinct because you cannot take a Liberal Arts degree anywhere besides Yale-NUS. It also self-describes as an "Independent College" from NUS. It's a common misconception and I'd agree the lines are very blurry. It could be considered both depending on how you choose to define a "separate university" but I'm an RC ambassador, and during training, we are always told to clearly state Yale-NUS as a separate university to avoid misleading others.
@Soga Yeah no worries, I'm sure you explained it to him but from watching the video I wasn't sure if that came across very well, so for the sake of everyone else I thought it'd be best to clarify. Especially since Yale-NUS is generally said to have a much nicer campus than NUS and especially the other RCs, I feel it was a bit of a misrepresentation of NUS if people were to get the impression that NUS dorms look like that.
“Everyone says that they don’t study... but they study” -_-“” the most accurate statement ever
