Adding Nose Wire to Cloth Masks

Cloth masks don't stop viruses. They may help you from touching your face. or keep your 3 year old from sneezing into your eyeballs. There is talk of widespread public policy to require the use of masks public places. I have been and will continue to keep my family home but decided to make masks for in case an emergent need to leave our home arises. Stay safe!

I make mine for personal use like that too. Our medical centre here has made a call out to all seamstresses to please make masks for asymptomatic people coming into their facilities. The pattern they asked for is simpler (no wires, only one layer of fabric, etc), so am on a sprint to make a bunch of these for them, as are many others am sure. Keep the videos coming. :)

Thank you for sharing..is that single or double wide bias tape ? And approx how long is each piece that is attached to the sides ?
And could the masks be washed in washing machine. If sewn inside the mask ?.
How would you make a casing on outside of mask to slip the wire in ?

Nose wires in surgical masks fit the length of the mask, people who custom make masks should do same. Why they choose not to, is dangerous.
