- Using a Mac on OS X 10.8.4 (12E55) and Audacity v2.0.3, I was able to import my corrupt WAV file as "Raw data..." and fully read the entire duration of my corrupt file. Read the whole story at texassoundguy.b... or visit www.TexasSoundGuy.com

This is the second time I'm using this video for saving corrupted files. Thought I had thanked you on the first time, but apparently I didn't. Thank you twice!
Beto Cabral It's always a spot you don't want to be in, but glad this helped a little bit. Be the hero!
Definitely! Thanks for taking the time and making this video. You are the real hero. Haha. It is a good felling going from cold sweat to relief. Thanks again! Cheers!
Great.. Thanks for sharing this video
This was a total lifesaver. Thank you so much!
Awesome. Sorry you had to use it, but glad it worked out!
brassmnkys Just wanted to follow up on this.
I contacted Sound Devices, and it turns out that nothing's actually corrupt; Finder and QuickTime just can't read very large files. If you pop the file into Premiere or Audition, it should work just fine. I don't use Avid Media Composer or Pro Tools, but I'm assuming it should work fine in those professional apps as well.
Thank you Sir. For sharing.
THANK YOU! THANK YOU! THANK YOU!
Saved my butt, too - thanks!
Excellent. Thanks for posting.
whenever i import raw data with correct data it still only imports the part my audio stopped. Is there a solution for that? My recording in .wav is 1hour and 30 min and shows that but it only plays up to 29 minutes. None of this VLC and Audacity videos has helped
