Looking forward to another great video to help me pass the time in hospital. Make sure everyone thanks their nursing and hospital staff. Morning Mike and Melissa! The roadside is shaping up really nicely. I may have missed it in an earlier video but Mike, up here that land would be owned by the municipality and not part of my land deed. I see you got the locates done but are you required, where you live, to get a permit and approval to excavate that property there? Or does your land deed include property right up to the side of the roadway/shoulder? Thanks - maybe a good topic for a future video, if you think so. All the best from Canada!

    • @Matt10Lawrence
      @Matt10Lawrence Рік тому +4

      Typically in the US some X amount of feet from the road is a right of way the town/state has. You own it but the town/state has rights to do what they need to on it to various extents. Landscaping like this is usually not permitted thankfully. Something tells me Mike would tell the town permit guy where to go and what to do with his permit :)

      Our deeds in this state (PA) list property lines into the middle of the road most of the time. So on a two lane road like that, the state has a 30 ft. right of way from the center of the road on each side. Mike said he was about 30 ft. off the road. so that would put him 15 ft. out of the right of way.

    Hey Mike, Darwin here. Always enjoy watching your videos, you can do so much with the equipment. A lot of experience behind the operators hands.
    You wanted to know where everyone is from and since I don't do a lot of comments in the channels I watch, thought this was great that you wanted to know where everyone is from.
    Wife and I live in NE Colorado, farming and ranching communities. My wife was born and raised in the center of four towns.

    "Sometimes I don't know really what I'm doing.... I'm just kind of stalling." I have lots of small ponds with landscaping I maintain with my Kubota BH77 backhoe. Like you, sometimes I don't really know what I'm doing. I kind of know but I sit back on the seat for a while and think. We call it pondering. Love the work with the grading bucket.

    G"day from downunder, Mark here. Love watching your videos. Just an idea for your roadside stall. A Shed on a Sled. Mark an open sided shed about the size of your little hide, mount it on runners so it can be towed or lifted with the fork tynes. I keeps your produce dry and neat, paint it to match the property and make it a local fixture were people know they can get wood ect. we have several of these in our local area (Gippsland Victoria) and they have quiet a loyal following. If you can move it around you can site it to suit the seasons ans weather.
