Of course, when this team was dead and buried at the end of May and the pressure was off and they had nothing to lose…. Woke up and went on a beautiful run. But as has been par for the course with this certain group of players… August hits you’re back in the race, PRESSURE IS BACK ON, they collapse! It’s been years of this, and I expected no different….. people out there think I enjoy being right? Absolutely not.! But this group is who it is…..
Greg you and I both! People who thought the true deep rooted issues this team has in the lineup rotation and bullpen had just evaporated away. This team was so buried and they had no pressure there. They just went out and played baseball…… anybody that thought those issues just up and disappeared were fooling themselves. A missed opportunity on trading Pete Alonzo, which I got roasted for, and anybody that thinks the trade deadline moves were serious we’re all fooling themselves! Now people see why!
True that....the Mets lack heart when the season is on the line. They talk the talk but they have a track record of blowing up their season when pressure is upon them.
Gonna be OK....All Division Leaders and WC Contenders have been swept in various series this year - ALL OF THEM - 27 - 16 from here gets METS to 88 - 74 & 1st or 2nd AL Wild Card
Oh please, every owner complains about it even Cohen did.Every time Hal " complains" ,they go crazy in free agency..So cope,Soto will never wear another uniform 😂😂😂😂😂
@@arkhamknight6371I’m a Yankees fan and want that, but it’s ABSURD how confident you are with that. You literally don’t know anything behind the scenes and resetting your expectations back will save you a lot of strife in life.
Boomer, I hate to tell you that Milwaukee series does not compare…. That was the beginning of the season….. you’re a so-called contender you going to Seattle against another contender…. And you score one run in your last 29 innings. And this is mid-August. You can’t even compare the two series.. the sea series may have just cost them this season
Mets players like Alonso and McNeil are too soft and must rot the chemistry in the clubhouse yet Trevor Bauer is setting pitching strikeout records in the Mexican league. The Mets need Bauer over Soto…and Alonso needs to be sent home for the year. Maybe a famous Eppler injury to Alonso?! Hope so.

They are back to April and May Mets
Beningo was the only one being realistic. The smartest Met fan.
Joe has a near lifetime of METS disappointments to fall back on....!!!

Stearns please dump Alonso McNeil Nimmo...
McNeil + .300 BA since AS Break...?!?!
Agreed even with Mcneil hitting well. Time for a revamp once again.
Alonso is a free agent…😂
@@joes7972 correct they should have dumped him last year then,😂
Judge & Soto are now in Ruth & Gehrig GOAT territory - surpassed Mays & McCovey and Mantle & Maris imho
Soto! Yankee for life!...Yankees will pay,so met fans stop the whining and cope 😂😂😂
Jeeyo should stick to what he knows: golf, boats, interior design, celebrity name dropping, etc.
Are we all assuming alonso is gone? I don't know If I see a team really. Going over the top for him
The Mets should hire next year 2025 Carlos Beltran as their new hitting coach
The Mets need addition through subtraction.
We have seen this group for the last 5 years.....this is who this group is. When the pressure gets ratcheted up, the Mets core disappears.

6-10 since Senga got hurt.
Segna sucks anyway

Senga???? WHO IS SENGA?
@@jamesbuckley8917 pitching isn't the issue why the mets suck. they can't hit.

Soto going after highest bidder and Hal already crying about luxury tax threshold

DFA Alonso
Good riddance!

The mets aren't playing well but its amplified because the padres and dbacks keep winning.

Overreaction. They lost four in a row after season high seven over. It was inevitable. Check back in a week please

I agreed with you...up to last night's 3 HRs...NO WAY Hal can let him leave...Changed my mind 180 degrees

What players? They lost four in a row after being season high seven games over. I don't think it had anything to do with pressure.
There was more pressure when they were a laughing stock yet managed to turn it around
