Good tips! No matter what the mission: building a house, sailing around the world, or flying a drone preparation is the key.
i absolutely loved the tip for using google earth to plan your shots. thanks mr McGee!
My pleasure!
My goodness .. "tap to focus" ?? 😲😲so I had no idea of that. Thanks a lot!!
it would be so sick if the drone had a tap to tracking feature just like the full frame camera!!
Wow! I didn't know about the tap function for focus!
Thank you! I've watched several of these tips videos from other creators, and this one had several tips I hadn't heard before.
We love you Mark. You always helped me push further with photography and inspire me in each video. Your amazing
Some very cool tips for a new flyer. Thanks so much. Always trying to learn how to do better.
Thank you so much for sharing this great tips... I'm looking forward to using them 😊
brilliant idea with the circle around the subject first !! thank you !
Thanks for the tips!
one of the best tips on drone photography i found , Thank You Sir !
Im still learning and as I take video of moving trains in western Canada with my Air 2s I fully agree dusk and dawn video gives amazing results. Following a long object means doing it all manually is the only way to track a train. The tracking does not like to lock onto just the locomotives and often they are moving faster than the drone can keep up with anyhow.
Great tips! Always good to hear some new ones. Thank you!
The best tips for drone photography thank you brother
Really good tips...thankyou.
Excellent, you hit all the salient points to watch out for.
Good drone camming, 👏 👍
I'm new to drone photography with my DJI Mini 2 SE. Both (drone + photography) is my favorites. I like to learn more and more and I found your channel. Thank you for great advice
Awesome tips thank you

Very nice tutorial...thanks for sharing.. keep going 👍
Very informative and excellent tips.
Hey, even as a long time photograph, I never had the idea with the circle function. Thank you for this gem :)
Wow amazing .
thanks for sharing !!! I'm a beginner drone photographer and those are great tips! I hope you will post more videos like this. You definitely won my subscription 👍
Thank you so much for this great info. I am about to pick up a mavic 3 and wanted to start taking some beautiful photos like the ones in your video. I have a couple of questions?
1. What software will you recommend for editing my pics??
2. Do you recommend I get a set of ND filters for photos??
Absolute legend ❤❤
Cheers Mark. Great advice and great shots there.... Cheers, Ian
I just watched ur video now and it was wat av been looking for bro..... thanks champ
Good info here. Thanks for the video
Awesome Vlog and information.
Hi Mark love the content, I'm just a beginner but learning little bits here and there from your channel. I have an air2s for the last 2 years but don't use it as often as I would like to. One thing I was hoping to find out is what shutter speed do you have your drone set to for taking photos? Many thanks in advance. 😊
Great advice! Thanks Mark
Welcome mate
So nice informative tips ❤️👍
Cheers very informative indeed
Awesome video Mark! I only shoot on the MINI 2 and give tutorials to my subscribers helping them achieve the best they can with it! 😊
Bruh I am legit a big fan of yours today!
I just surfed through all your content and am waiting for more!
I have been waiting for your new video, it's finally here now 🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥🔥👌🏻👌🏻👌🏻
Awesome tips and tricks, man 😀
Good tips. In addition to AEB I also often manually pano my shots to give me more flexibility back in the digital dark room.
best hour is ALSO, short BEFORE sunrise AND right after Sunset, the silhouettes are just amazing and colors are a lot more vivid. But thx for the good ideas, great job
Best video
Awesome channel so far! i just subscribed!
Awesome tip!! What size is the frames you got behind you?
Thank you for this very instructive video. Is there a possibility that you create a video on how you edited the Glenfinnan viaduct. Would highly appreciate it. Thank you.
Greetings from Texas. So glad I found this channel. Thank you for your amazing content and tips.
Welcome!
I'm a pretty experienced land-based photographer and I'm relatively new to drain photography I would use burst mode for most of my shots especially when you get down to low shadow speeds of say 1:15 I will use an nd64 and even an nd1000 to create mini long exposures where I can get some motion blur in the water if you are going to do this use the burst mode x 5 it works really well I'm guaranteed one of the images will be sharp the other tip that I would use is to use filters because they do make a difference but don't use the pl is this just add saturation which you don't need thanks for your video and yes I will subscribe😂
Only thing I can add is to consider panoramas for big views as a way of getting more detail in the final print. I'm using a Mini 2 and the way it takes panos seems to be totally unstichable to me so I have to rely on the JPEG that the drone made (um, no thanks) or take them in a more conventional grid pattern and stitch in LR/PS. Not sure if this is the case with the bigger models.
Great video
Great tips! Just sub'd.
Great video 🙏🙏.. nice to see you at one of my favourite spots Kinloch Hourn 😉 … 👍👍
One of my faves too!
I wish i could see a video sent by you about how to store phootage and what you personally use ex: ssd or hard drive. I hope i see it soon!
Thanks Mark,
Unfortunately I only have a mini 1, I have two options 4:3 & 16:9 so I always use 4:3.
How much difference is the between 3:2 and 4:3
I’m V new to your channel ( 1st of yours just now & I’ve Sub’d and 👍). Google Earth 3D :- never entered my head but will in future). I’ve only managed 2 days of flights with M3 and only 2nd day did I take images. Brilliant and looking forwards to more
Great tutorial Mark. I’m thinking about buying a drone for my photography. Any suggestions for the best camera drone for stills. Thank again
Heads up, AEB shoots at reduced mp size. for example, on the mini 3 pro, standard photos are 48mp while AEB sets are 12mp.
For highest resolution, shoot manually and bracket a couple stops below and above yourself.
Hey mark
Loving the vids
Can i ask what computer you use for post?
Seems super fast
Gut erklärtes Video mit interessanten Tips. Viele Grüße ronactive
just one point why aint you got million subs - lovely manner and explanation
Thanks again Mark for some awesome tips. Your channel truly is under appreciated. You should be well over 1m subs given how good your content, advice and tutorials are!!
super
Nice
The game changer for me was a simple combination of ND filters an automatic settings.
I also learned how to do cinematic shoots before even trying QuickShots.
Thank you for sharing.
Great tutorial.. but i have some questions. When you set the drone to auto circle an object (@ 2:34) so to get better compositions, do you mean that you video recording and then at post edit you freeze a frame? Then do you still have White Balance fixed? For drone photography, do you use nd filters (to double the fps (180 rule) ?
For the auto circle, I think he just means to do this to "preview" the possible compositions. Then you can reposition and reframe afterwards and take the actual picture wherever you like
@@Samulawl Oh i see. Thanks for the answer!
Can we get a video of cameras from budget to expensive and maybe you can also recommend cameras in the different price ranges
Do you use nd or nd/pl filters for drone photography?
Does DJI's quick shots and light cut use the raw format when editing ?
Hi Mark . What is the best drone to shoot videos . I want to shoot a video of fitness video . Any opinions
@2:26 the waves and lighthouse, what are you doing there to the photograph? are you painting the image in or something on photoshop? i dont know this technique, also when you shoot towards the sun is it better to expose more for the sun initially or is it ok just to simply expose initially for the rest of the scene, so for example when you took the church ruins it didnt appear that you exposed for the sun at all so is there enough info not to be blown out with the remaining shots or did you do multiple AEB stacks so for example 2x3AEBs then merged? if that makes sense
At 2:26, was talking about Auto Bracketing, which allows blending multiple shots to make a final image. In his example he would have been erasing the more exposed clouds to reveal the lesser exposed ones in layer below the top one.
Same for the church ruins. Bracketing gives edit choices. HDR (High Dynamic Range) shots are created this way with the camera or software doing the combining, but can also be done manually with a set of Auto Bracketed shots. Hope this helps. - Cheers
Thanks for the help, but I know the process of bracketed shots and hdr, what I was asking is how is it done,? as in how is he painting the other image, what is the process of stacking the images in the first place, is it a setting as like Lightroom ala merge to hdr or something? Shooting in a not usually difficult, it’s usually all the editing that I struggle with, especially in photoshop as I’m only really working with Lightroom although I have both programs
In all ur photography wat brand of SD card did u use in ur expensive camera and drones.
I use Sandisk cards exclusively and they have never let me down 64GB Pro or extreme. Other brands may also be reliable, but I tend to stick with the ones I have used for years. - Cheers
what drone do you recommend for photography?
I would go for the mavic air 2! It is the same price as the mavic air, but it is ten times better!
Where is the photo at 2:56 from?
so you get upgrade form the mini
@7:03 is that sign genuine or just a land owner wishing to make you buy a licence to take photos?
What drone is it?
Which drone have you used in this video sir?
Looks to be the mavic zoom. Not totally sure but I think that’s the one with orange prop tips in their lineup
That's the Air 2S as shown at 0:02 Cheers!
Don't you get tired, for creating such stunning pictures?
What drone is he using?
positive face, ok
