    You can tell the importance of something in a culture by the number of words they have for it. That Korean has so many words for “to clean” and “to wash” shows how hygiene is important to them…

      There are many situations where this would fit but also many where this doesn't fit. I wouldn't overestimate it.

    치우다 to clean like your friends come to your house to play or to do such stuff and when it's time to eat then you finish eating you say ("자~ 우리 치울까?"wich is shell we start cleaning?" )or ( "자 얘들아 우리 추우자" wich means " let's clean guys")
    (Sorry for the bad explanation lol I'm not good enough at dissseu 😅😅
    Thank you teacher Billy for the lesson~🙃

    입다(to wear) 한번 해주세요. 옷을 입다, 모자 쓰다, 신을 신다, 목도리를 걸치다, 스카프를 두르다, 안경을 끼다, 팔찌를 차다, 착용하다, 귀걸이를 차다, 귀걸이를 하다, (피부에 바르다).. 등등

    It would be super nice if you could add sample sentences and if 2 overlap try to explain what the difference is if they're used in the same context.
    What level of language proficiency should you have for these to be most beneficial?

      You can search the exact definition of any word here with Naver: ua-cam.com/video/gjDczp1Bc_w/v-deo.html That is "to bathe."

    What about "세탁하다"?

    • @GoBillyKorean
      @GoBillyKorean  2 роки тому +2

      That would be related to "laundry," and has its own different definition in the dictionary.

    Awesome video! Thanks! I was wondering which verb is the most common for brushing one's teeth. Is it 닦다? Merci !

    • @GoBillyKorean
      @GoBillyKorean  2 роки тому +3

      You'd just use "to brush (one's) teeth" which is a different verb and not "clean" or "wash" - 양치(를) 하다.

      @@GoBillyKorean i heard 치를 닦다 too

    • @GoBillyKorean
      @GoBillyKorean  2 роки тому +1

      You can use the expression 이(를) 닦다, which also has the same meaning as 양치(를) 하다.

    • @GoBillyKorean
      @GoBillyKorean  2 роки тому +1

      @@menear It's supposed to be 이, not 치. You may have heard "치(를) 떨다" which is a different verb.
