Yes, practicing the teaching's of the Buddha will set you free. Acceptance and non-attachment or aversion to things in the worldly realm is key for peace of mind ...
Thankyou again Paul for telling your story! I’ve been waiting for each new instalment with baited breath & you didn’t disappoint us. I definitely want to get your book now! Thanks Pete!
Congratulations on another fantastic video Pete!! I haven’t watched Paul’s other episodes but I’m glad I saw this one and I will go back and watch the others. Paul sounds like an amazing guy. Again, I’m proud that Thailand is a place where people can find themselves in and happy and proud that Paul’s Thai wife was instrumental in his well being. I also love his comment about Buddhism in general and in Thailand and I agree with his assessments. A Buddha is a human being with ills and worries but he takes on life challenges and transform them into opportunities for growth while moving onward that the true brilliance of the state of Buddhahood shines forth. A Buddha is someone who is always striving. A famous quote from a renounced Buddhist teacher. To me, this is Buddhism. Happy Mother’s Day!!
“ The journey within”. Boy if that does not describe my feelings when I retired early and my co-workers looked at me like I was crazy. At my dinner with the Big Guy” he said to me “ but look at how much more money you could earn”! I was a high wage earner. I said to him, “ that is why I’m going on my life adventure now!” When is enough money enough? When is enough LIFE enough? The first question for me is answered. Great interview!
Brilliant content, absolutely loved all five installments. This was my favorite part! He explained his emotional journey so well, as well as his sophisticated philosophy toward life. I think many could relate to the experiences and change of perspective on life. What he said about buddhism is exactly what I was told by a guide at wat pho in bkk.
Thank you so much Paul for sharing your story. Wow, what a go-getter! Your candid honesty is truly inspirational. I can't wait to read your book. Congrads Pete on 20k subs, you deserve it. Keep up the good work.
Legend 💙 it’s a joy to listen to a character like Paul. There’s some people that you can just sit and listen to for hours on end because with every word comes enlightenment and education. Live long Paul💙
@@PaulWalliswriter I’m also going through a big change in my life so I understand so many of your comments about moments of enlightenment. I’ve recently stopped drinking and now I just can’t listen to the pub talk alcohol fuelled bullshit. I think I’m becoming mister sensible 🤣 Still learning and still growing up at 55. When we eventually leave the uk rat race for our coffee and cocoa farm in Sisaket I think I’ll be so happy with the quiet life, just family to enjoy a different life.
Peter you are a legend. To interview Paul from the beginning to the end, and narrating all his stories. It broke my heart. We all take things for granted. But hearing Paul's stories moved me. I am glad when he swallowed all those pills. His life wasn't ended. When Paul said that there was someone up there looking after him. I believe that. After my divorce I was like Paul. I was down to my lowest in my life. I did everything to provide for my kids and my EX. But she had a different motive. I do not like bringing up the past, I could tell you my stories that could be written into a very interesting novel. I had everything, but lost it all, because I trusted my EX, but now I am a different man. I gave myself to the Man Above, and HE changed my life for the better. Paul you are a legend. You speak like Shakespeare. You are well spoken, and that is your God given gift. Take care, and I wish you all the happiness in this world. I love Thailand myself. My favourite Island is Phuket. Hopefully I will be there next year. God Bless.

Yes, practicing the teaching's of the Buddha will set you free. Acceptance and non-attachment or aversion to things in the worldly realm is key for peace of mind ...

amazing stories. this is one of your best interviews because he has had such a great interesting life. thanks i hope these videos get more views
I've really enjoyed listening to Paul's stories x
My hat off to you sir!!! 🌈🌟
Love Paul…one of the best, and interesting interviews..congratulations…what an amazing character…
Glad you enjoyed it Margaret
Brilliant content, absolutely loved all five installments. This was my favorite part! He explained his emotional journey so well, as well as his sophisticated philosophy toward life. I think many could relate to the experiences and change of perspective on life. What he said about buddhism is exactly what I was told by a guide at wat pho in bkk.
Paul & Peter.2 words THANK YOU.keep it rollin
Our pleasure!
Thank you so much Paul for sharing your story. Wow, what a go-getter! Your candid honesty is truly inspirational. I can't wait to read your book.
Congrads Pete on 20k subs, you deserve it. Keep up the good work.

I am indeed. Lots more to come
ANAZING Paul. And congradulations on life
Legend 💙 it’s a joy to listen to a character like Paul. There’s some people that you can just sit and listen to for hours on end because with every word comes enlightenment and education. Live long Paul💙
Thanks for that Trippy And Da
@@PaulWalliswriter I’m also going through a big change in my life so I understand so many of your comments about moments of enlightenment. I’ve recently stopped drinking and now I just can’t listen to the pub talk alcohol fuelled bullshit. I think I’m becoming mister sensible 🤣
Still learning and still growing up at 55.
When we eventually leave the uk rat race for our coffee and cocoa farm in Sisaket I think I’ll be so happy with the quiet life, just family to enjoy a different life.
@@TrippyandDa Something to focus on ... I am also soon to be relocating to Sisaket and becoming a farmer. Our paths may cross, who knows!
God Bless.
Best of luck to you Victor on your journey
Paul, you are indeed LEGEND! Loved your stories. All the very best to you in the days ahead form a friend in Iowa, USA.
A captivating narrator. This is how you live a life! Hope this isn't the end of his tales here.
I think too much of me isn't a good thing ........... but the door is never closed Pete!
