Three months using this tripod and I'm still obsessed! Early bird pricing available for the first 48 hours: bit.ly/BCProChronicleTripodKickstarterLaunch Our helicopter travel series Heading: WEST is coming October 1st at 10am ET!
Love the innovation in the tri-pod space. I especially appreciate the last bit of Chris giving an example of how he uses this setup for a sequence. Would definitely be helpful when filming DIY and desk stuff.
Literally purchased 7-18-24. Was looking for a way to "hand hold" my Samsung Galaxy Ultra 22 phone while filming in video mode. This tripod was the answer. It blew me away watching this helpful video! My brother bought the Carbon Fiber Chronicle Tripod to hold a 12" heavier Samsung tablet to film his basketball team's games. He is a coach and has the parents film the games using his tablet and...ta dah...the ProMaster Carbon Fiber Chronicle Tripod. So easy for the parent to set up before the games. No tutorial needed! Thank you, thank you, thank you ProMaster!
Amazing tripod. I hope to be able to buy it from Portugal in the near future. Loved the video. Are you going to do room toor video of Becki's office. I'd love to see it. I really liked the setup and the shelf behind Becki.
I'm so excited about this tripod! Versatility is key I need for my creative process I just shot a wedding and that monopod feature with the fluid leg would have been dope! That thing looks beastly and I love it! Glad they got the Becki and Chris stamp of approval!
I think selling the flexor piece as a budget version of this really sick tripod would be a great option for people searching for a hybrid tripod, without spending upwards of 300 $. But this is a really cool tripod :)
Seems like great quality and it even looks good! The modes and the fact that it has a detachable control stick (I want this so badly!) and the teeny tiny ball head are so great, I literally have been wanting all of these features for so long. Also, nice presentation, Becki!
this tripod look awesome with all the features ! specially the mini tripod tranfer so quick ! but saddly my budget is to tight right now for it !!!! h nice video !
Holy crap this thing looks awesome. My wife's used a number of inexpensive, standard tripods over the years and something always ends up breaking. This is finally the kind of tripod I think is worth the amount of money a really good tripod demands.
I looked at the price before watching. And went woah, that's a price. But after watching. I realized this is just about the most tripod-est tripod of the tripods. There's about 4 tripods in one package. If you bought 4 dedicated tripods per category it would be closer to this promaster than not. It doesn't look like the individual tripods have many compromises either. Ball heads, stable wide legs, you say the handheld is light I believe it. Wild
Looks amazing! My only gripe is the screw style leg length adjustments. Gets pretty frustrating when you think you have the legs set but end up chasing the loose leg to retighten it. I’d like to see clamp levers instead.
Wow, this is one of the most flexible tripods I’ve ever seen. I’ve always told people to “buy their second tripod first” - this looks like it would be that purchase!
Does the center column have any vertical adjustment while in the full tripod? Would love to pick this up, but a little vertical adjustment there is really helpful for real estate stills!
Even though they all look the same, tripods are one of those things I quickly learned that you need to invest in a good one if you don’t want it to break within a year or less.
The only downside to an unscrew that I can see would be wear on the tripod head from repeated removal. It wasn't mentioned in the video, but is it possible to screw the handle on not straight intentionally? My antique fluid head has a dog leg handle that can be positioned 90° off and removed which is occasionally useful.
This has soooo many features, kinda makes sense to swap out my smallrig with this, saves me having to have multiple tripods when travelling as well! 🥳 - EDIT: No UK Shipping 🥲
Interesting tripod. If I hadn't bought a carbon fibre tripod, I'd have put this on the top of my list. May I ask how you set your camera for day-to-night Time Lapses please? Do you put the ISO on auto and the Shutter to auto? I'm trying to crack the Day-to-Night nut so that I can do some Milky Way stuff. If I could offer you one suggestion, it would be to get a self-leveling base for your fluid head tripod. It takes seconds to level your camera for smooth panning.
@@BeckiandChris No worries, and a tutorial would be most welcome. I normally do my Timelapse’s fully manual with a ND filter to keep the shutter open for half the time between images. But to do manual for day-to-night is madness. So far I’m experimenting with 6 second intervals with ISO and shutter set to Auto. It’s a compromise but I’m open to better techniques.
This is only tangentially related to this video but I recently watched your video about setting up a DIY overhead camera rig. Are you still using the same one from that video? I'd love to set one up myself so I'm curious to know how yours is working out and whether you've made any changes. The lighting and overhead shots in your videos always look terrific!
I’m using the same set up with friction arm and accessories but now mounted to the ceiling joists in the studio vs the ceiling pipe contraption (which I still have and it hasn’t budged) 😊
lol I was saving up for the pd tripod for soo long and now this one drops😂But pd tripod is still better in terms of size and weight if you travel a lot
I’m assuming it’s going to be bigger and heavier than the peak design and ulanzi travel tripod. What’s the the size difference just so I can have a point of reference?
I tried to get one on the kickstarter. I’m confused though cuz it says 0 seconds remaining on both options. And both says only for the first 48 hours. When did the kickstarter go live? What option are we supposed to pick. Thx!
I’m not sure, I don’t have an otterbox so I can’t test it for you but the Kickstarter page lists full specs. I’m sure if it’s not listed they will answer any questions on their instagram!
It is sort of! it’s not as secure as the plate that comes with it but Chris and I just did a backpacking trip with the chronicle and peak plates on both cameras so we could swap between capture clip and tripod and didn’t have any issues with it slipping off or moving
Awesome - I've been wanting to go do more photography focused trips, but I do not have "All the gear" besides kit setup - This would be an awesome addition! Thanks!
So it does what every other tripod does. Based on the price it could be a fine choice for someone who is new getting into photo/video, but I don’t see many veterans who already have a tripod wanting to go out and buy this as it doesn’t do anything that any other tripod doesn’t.
Too short for me. I feel that since Peak Design came in at 5 foot even (which was a compromise at the time) people have started marketing 5ft as what they aim for and thats just too short (especially when that is with the center column extended). Not saying its bad... just not for me (I want to be at eye level with no center column extension, and be rock steady).
12:20 Sure, the Flexor is super-fast when you're wearing kick-ass maroon scrubs, but what about for the rest of us losers who have to wear normal clothes all the time? 😕

Definitely a Tripod worth backing up. Truly a category of it’s own with the magnitude of functions. Should just call it an All-Pod
The mini tripod is GENIUS!!
It really is!! I’ve been using it so much!
i admittedly came into this video side-eyeing but as more features were unveiled, i became increasingly impressed. this is very VERY cool.

The phone mount feature is absolutely genius! So useful 🤯

Yep, just backed this. Looking forward to testing it out.
as someone who has been using a promaster carbon fiber tripod for the last 8 years, I can attest to the durability of their stuff!
They make awesome stuff!
So add on warranty yes/no?

@11:15 Matte Black R1S 👀. Looking forward to hearing about that!

It’s the best one stop shop tripod I’ve ever seen! 🙏🏼
I haven’t bought a tripod in years, but this has my full attention! Definitely grabbing one of these, so thanks for the review!
Thanks for watching!

Yall are using THE HECK out of that helicopter camera rig. All the shots are SO BEAUTIFUL!!
Looking forward to this. The removable mini tripod is the #1 reason I want this. Crazy to think that no one has ever thought to do this before.

Wow Becki, time to retire my BOGEN. Carbon Fiber is definitely the way to go and that Chronicle is feature rich. Thank so much fro this video!
Thanks! The carbon fibre is so great, sturdy and light at the same time!
I knew something was coming when I saw your face in an ad for this a week or so ago.
🤗
Oh my. Tom Buck was so proud at 1:38... That tripod looks dope though. Tempting to try it out.
Oh... it ships to nowhere...Sigh
Damn, this is the swiss army knife of tripods. Was waiting for you to pull a corkscrew out of there somewhere.
SOLD!! Thanks for sharing this with us!
So cool to see all the awesome innovations coming to tripods in general - and this one looks killer!
JUST what I would add to my kit! I LOVE THIS CONCEPT!!!!
It’s so good considering how we use our cameras hey? The flexor is my fave 😍
“This isn’t my final form” is a saying from Dragonball Z. It’s what freezes says to Goku in an epic fight before freeza levels up lol

Welp, you sold me. Fantastic review and I’m looking forward to the new kit!
Thank you for the video! Definitely getting the tripod! May I also ask where I can buy those paper lamps in your background? Really lovely!

how does it compare in size to the peak design when folded?

Thats a really nice tripod. And it look very well priced for what it does. Now how do I explain this purchase to my accoountant...
2 mins in and I'm like 🤯
Pledged! I can't wait for the carbon fibre version I pledged for. Fingers crossed they meet their goal!

Nice tripod about the only thing I think the pan handle should be a self unscrew and not need a extra tool
