    Good Morning, Taz! I think you did a wonderful job on your first makeup video. Yes, applying with your fingers will allow you to use less foundation; I always apply my eye shadows after my foundation... whatever works for each individual is the right way :-) you got it! if the brush works for you then it doesn't matter which you use. I love the Tartelette palette and the Ulta liners. You're makeup always looks great and that's what matters. I will certainly be picking up that brow razor you use. Thank you for linking me! Lots of love XOXO Mar ... PS love the new merch! What bad hair day?????

    Your videos are so fun and informative! I love your naturalness. You can wear your false lashes until they fall apart. Just spray with alcohol to clean, pull off the glue, spray again, and Let air dry. I’ve worn some of mine over 20 times! Blessings!

    L'Oreal True Match is my absolute FAVORITE foundation as well! It has been for years. I have tried many others over the years, even more expensive brands, and I always always come back to the True Match. I always go for the warm shades. I pray they do not discontinue it ever, it is the best! Amazon also has the best price which is awesome. You did GREAT my friend!

    Happy Saturday Taz. I use my fingers to apply my foundation too but typically spray a sponge with a little setting spray and tap in at the end ti sort of seal it all in. I love those Ulta Cream Liners all the time but never thought to Tightline with it, great suggestion. Thanks for sharing your routine and for the link love too! Hugs!

    I just enjoy you so much! You have given such good information, and you are a breath of fresh air! Can I ask in your opinion, the RW Upstage fits what face shape the best? Taz, you did a Great tutorial of the products you use and how you apply them for your first time. Unforgently for me, my mother was against make-up, so throughout the year's I never really cared much except for blush and eye color. Now that I'm older lol, I'm now discovering I'm in need of a lot of help covering up the ageing process. You said you have a love/hate relationship with your eye lashes, mine is my eye brows! They are thinning so bad just like my hair and some are turning white, I can not for the life of me make them look good. I'm going to try your product's and way you do yours, I'm sure it's better than what I'm doing now. Thanks again Taz for sharing your personal tips, we need more Taz's in the world!💖💖

      Thank you so much Amy!! I really didn't use a lot of make up until recently (last 4 years). And I only wear makeup when I film videos or go out to dinner, etc.. 90% of the time, I am au naturelle! Yes, I really like the eyebrow pencil I use.. the pencil is needle thin so it goes on a little at a time and if you use small strokes and stay within the boundary of the natural brow (like natural brow hairs), you will love the look! XOXO

    You managed to do this so quickly! I cannot believe how many products we use -- other than eyelashes, I use all these kinds of products as well. That's why we all have a bathroom full of makeup and brushes, lol. I LOVE my It Cosmetics CC cream, and of all my dozens of foundations, I turn to my Loreal True Match, most of the time. It is just so easy to use those two products. I have dozens of palettes but the Tartelette palette you used here looks like one I could use -- cool neutrals. Love cream contour and am going to try that Benefit one. Whew. Imagine that we do this now. Did people do all this even 30 years ago? How did they know what to get and how to use it, if so? Now we have UA-cam. Thank you for all these ideas and the quick demo. Looks beautiful, Taz. xoxo

      HI Liz! I always love when you share comments! I chuckle at the thought of someone watching this from 30+ years ago.. what would they think? Are we a bunch of narcissists from the future or are the products THAT good..lol! I stopped "exploring" makeup last year.. I spent way too much money on products I didn't like. But I think I have the right amalgam of products and colors now, so I resist new things for the most part. Have a great week! XOXO

    Taz I loved this video your a natural in front of the camera. I love the Tartlette pallet I have had it a couple of years and love the colours I also love the CC cream you must have the same colouring as me as I have a couple of these products in the same shade. The little razor you use I use the same one but for the face it’s a life safer it’s so gentle and gets the job done. Love the wig your wearing. Love Judith X

    I have a lot of palettes and I find myself reaching for that Tartlette pallet the most when I’m in my blonde wig phases! Perfect neutral/natural mattes!
    Also, I have a love/hate relationship with lashes too. For whatever reason Ardell 110 goes on so easy for me. Not sure why but I never have to fuss or reposition them and most importantly I don’t feel them once they are on.
    And I love the 50 SPF in the IT CC cream. It leaves such a nice finish on the skin too but I stopped using it because I needed more coverage. The way you apply it (basically using it as your primer) sounds perfect! Thanks! ❤️

      TAZSWIGCLOSET oh and one more thing about the Ardell 110s they are basically the same end-to-end so for someone who cuts lashes in half you could definitely use the other half too.

    Thank you for doing a makeup video!
    I love your wig videos too, but have always admired how you do your eye makeup and makeup!
    This video was added to youtube in 2019, I looked for the Ulta Eye Shadow palette in Rose Gold - but can't find it.
    What eye shadows are you using now? Were you able to find another palette with similar shades to this?
    I used to wear the Loreal foundation that you recommend. They have great makeup base shades and formulas!
    I have recently been using the Infallable makeup foundation - in the shade 405 - but could add a few drops of 400 in the winter.
    This makeup looks GREAT on you!
    Thank you so much for doing a makeup video - as well as all of your great wig videos!
    I love your channel - I always learn so much from you!
    You are a great teacher - when teaching new techniques and going over new styles!

    I love watching those makeup tutorials, especially Jill and Nisha, but I really have trouble applying eyeshadow as precisely as they do! I agree with your assessment that they are artists! It’s kind of like how amateur paintings never look as good as the Bob Ross ones, no matter how carefully you try to follow the steps. 😉

I plan to now after your recommendation because (maybe it’s just me but...) the brand I’ve been using is pretty messy(DUO)and I slather it on thick too!😜Could be just a case of me not knowing what the heck I’m doing.🤪In any event, your way sounds BETTER!

    Taz love this video...I want to share something with you I wear lashes too but I like the small individual cluster by Ariel an dura lash they are so easy to apply no hassle an I put them right on top at the lash line an I can put them on in less than 5 minutes I use adhesive NOT GLUE because I used glue in the beginning an I pulled out my lashes getting my false lashes off OMG 😳 SO MY LASHES GREW BACK AN ONLY USE ADHESIVE NOW ...TRY THESE CLUSTER ONES CALLED Arielle Double Up an they come short medium long. I use med thru the middle an a little more then the short on the ends..try it it works an so easy to use.❤️

    Thanks for your video - very helpful❣ You always look beautiful - with or without makeup or wigs! On a different note, I love Upstage on you - looks awesome! That is on my wish list!! Shaded Biscuit looks beautiful on you, but it is too light for me. I haven't been successful in finding a similar shade in Raquel Welch to Envy Sparkling Champayne, Noriko Creamy Toffee R, JR Shaded Malibu ?? Any ideas in Raquel Welch?? Also thank you for labeling your background of wigs!! Very helpful!! Just wondering what colors are B, G & I?? For me I find I tend to buy towards color vs style haha! If I find the right color the style almost always works for me❣

    You should check out Z palette. You can depot your favorite shadow from different palettes and put them all in one palette. I originally did this for travel convenience but loved it so much that I now use it exclusively on a daily basis. They even make a deeper one for domed blushes.

    Hi there. You are such an inspiration to me. You are absolutely beautiful, I noticed that you were saying that you were taking about deep set eyes so the least I can do is give you a tip 😊 I went to a friends get together and just made it a makeup with each of us sharing makeup tip. So for deep set eyes here’s the trick and it really works. So you can find this eye liner basically anywhere.its in the color white but play with how much that it Put it under your upper lid only. I hope you find this helpful.

    Lovely review. Thanks for sharing with us. I'm hoping you do a tutorial on how you revise your wigs in front. Your Upstage looks nothing like my Upstage. Plus yours looks much shorter than mine and looks more layered than mine. The way you fix or blow dry or steam the front so it's off your face makes all the difference in the appearance, takes it from wiggy to fabulous and natural looking. I'll be waiting with baited breathe. Thank you.

    • @TAZSWIGCLOSET
      @TAZSWIGCLOSET  4 роки тому

      Hi Sherry!! Thanks for the comments. I do not use any product or steam on wigs that I review.. sometimes, if I decide to keep them, I will use heat or product. I haven't done anything to this Upstage believe it or not! I use the heat from my hands to create a bit of lift at the front and then arrange the front slightly different that when I first popped it on my head.. the HD fibers are so impressionable! I love that. You have a GREAT idea for a video! I think it would be great to go through some of the things I do right out of the box to arrange with fingers and then if I use steam or other heat, I could also show that. Thank you for the ideas Sherry! XOXO

    Taz ,
    Love how you explain your makeup tips!!
    Watching it quite a few times. Two quick questions.
    I have a very similar skin tone to yours
    I wanted to get the Naked Bronzer I noticed it comes in three colors, I was wondering which you use?
    Also the Blush Confidence in your Glow I know it’s not the peachier one but was wondering if you knew which color it is?

    • @TAZSWIGCLOSET
      @TAZSWIGCLOSET  4 роки тому

      Hello and thank you! I am not sure about the bronzer.. I am away from home right now and I didn't bring it with me. The Glow blush is called natural.. its the pink based one, no peach tones. Hope this helps! XOXO

    Love this video! I use IT CC cream too. It's fantastic! I've made my list of the products I'm going to buy! LOL! Loving the tip on the tight lining. Do you find that it lasts on the upper water line? And, do you only wear the lashes for filming or do you wear them sometimes off camera too? Love your brows! I too am not a fan of arched brows and keep mine fairly straight. 😊❤

    • @TAZSWIGCLOSET
      @TAZSWIGCLOSET  4 роки тому +2

      Hi Michele! Thanks for the questions! If I had just one item of makeup, it would be that IT CC cream..love it! I only wear lashes for filming, I just use mascara only for every other occasion. The eyeliner on the upper lash line really does last.. especially since I extend it just to the eyelash root/line. Sometimes if I apply to thick, it will transfer to the lower water line..lol. Not a good look for me..lol. I did not realize my makeup faux pas until I started to see myself on camera! I recommend that for anyone to do a little quick film of yourself in your makeup and replay it on your PC.. this kind of feedback helps! XOXO

    Great video -thanks Taz! I, as another subscriber mentioned, use the IT CC cream not as a primer like you do, but as my full foundation so I might try it like you do since that sounds like a wonderful idea :) I also recently tried (and really like) the Tarte foundation called Foundcealer, which has an SPF of 20 so sometimes I use it instead of the CC Cream. I am also in my 50's and find this foundation gives me a healthy and medium coverage which doesn't sink into any fine lines. If you ever want to try something new (I know you love your True Match), you might want to give this a try although it's probably more expensive. I buy it at Ulta as well :)
    You look amazing and are a natural beauty, and I love your natural fresh approach to makeup application! Thanks again!

    You are beautiful, Taz! However, when one wants to "correct" deep-set eyes, they need to use darker shades on the portions you want to minimize (in this case, the above the crease/brow bone), and lighter colors on portions you need to bring forward ( in your case, your mobile lid/below the crease/brow bone). But with that said, your makeup is really beautiful :)

    Dumb question time- why are some of the letters behind you backwards? I know it’s silly but I wonder cuz some are backward and forward on the same shelf.
    Don’t make apologies for how you do your makeup. 90% of “beauty gurus” are in their 20s and use makeup wrong! The point should be to look good with as little of gunk as possible.
    True Match is a great foundation! Fingers are the best tools! I do foundation first as well. I actually just use concealer, then my eyes. I use taupes and mauves. You have great techniques and color choices. I LOVE eyelashes. Been wearing them for 20 years. I wear bigger and spikey ones. You did a great trim.
    The name is Tartlette. Their is another one called Tartelette in Bloom. If you like browns, Tartelette in bloom would be a great choice. Man eater is a drier mascara then many. Shape tape is the thickest, fullest coverage you can find. It makes a great eyeshadow base. Makes the colors look true.
    You picked one of the best eyebrow pencil! Great illuminator- I use Hourglass. The best thing women can do is use blush correctly. Try bringing it to the apples of your cheeks. It helps to contour. I use a little across my nose too- mimics being in the sun.
    Girl, if you gently wash or pick off the glue, even many drugstore lashes are meant to last 5 -7 wears. Take care of them and you can go longer. Not unsanitary to rewear!!
    Great video. I just realized I went point by point. Hahahaha. You look great!! Great video!! Great tutorial!!

      I REALLY enjoyed these comments!!! Thank you so much for sharing, you obviously have a lot of knowledge and experience! I am happy to know that I made some good choices in there..lol! The letters were an experiment.. the shiny side played with the lighting on the camera so I turned them around.. hence "backwards". It appears like a Kindergarten project so I took them down. The idea was to label the wigs so people could refer to a letter when asking about a style. I'll keep working on a solution! Enjoy the day!! XOXO
