I hate the fact that this song makes me cry. 33 is still too young to lose your parents. Even though you are old enough to be on your own you always will need your parents (assuming you have kind of relationship) so listening to this song gets me legit teary. But like, I do get the orphan joke though and the obscene level of dependency. I just think this song out of context is actually a tear jerker
update: My husband lost his dad at the end of 2019. And we just lost his mom earlier this year (2021). Both sudden and unexpected!! This weekend he turns 33 without either parent. yeah it's official, I can't listen to this song anymore 🥺
