too much fretted left hand technique. what i mean... you're pulling off fretting finger to fast, so it's just muted for too long. with fretless you need to feel note under your finger, to long it enough to execute another note. sometimes both at the same time :D those pauses feels to me, like you were there after max 3 days of fretless. not acceptable imo.

@@riesabass thanks for the feedback. TBH this was recorded towards the end of a long playing session so my left hand was particularly worn out. I haven't played much recently so I'm angling to play more to get that LH sustain up again.
