The bass solo over Bill's loop is fantastic stuff 👍
Took me to another level of consciousness. Powerful stuff.
Peter Erskine looks and dresses like an accountant. And we admire Sco’s conviction regarding the bald/king hair look (he actually quite resembles the actor William Hurt now that I think about it).
Timeless. Thanks for uploading.
Fantastic! Thank you for uploading these videos.
still love it!!
Frisell, the young crazy genius, takes us deep into his experimental soundscape which seems only remotely related to everything else that's been going on.
My fav part is when Pete drops a stick.
OMG thanks
Crazy stuff. I love it. Any chance there's more of it?
I mean...there's got to be a chance. They recorded the whole concert - it HAS to be SOMEWHERE!
Ramblin'
What year please? Gotta be the 80’s with all that chorus painted over the sonic landscape.
It's Mario!
What’s the name of the pedal that Frisell is using?
It appears his signal chain from the guitar goes to > DeArmond volume pedal > MXR Distortion + > T.C. Electronics Stereo Chorus + Pitch Modular & Flanger > (on top of amp) Electro-Harmonix 16 Second Digital Delay > likely a mid-80s digital reverb rack unit, surrounded by foam rubber > Fender Deluxe Reverb amp.
I assume it's the Electro-Harmonix unit which has aroused your interest. He's employing as a tweakable looper in the first minutes of this clip.
@@DavePeters1 damn dave peters! git it!
Yes, he used EH pedal for a while and after that for similar effect he used Digitech PDS 8000 pedals. One thing that he used them for is creating pitch shifted mini loops that he’d blend. The PDS allows you to capture a small loop and then by changing the time knob, you change the pitch, so he created a whole little music language with that idea. Now he only uses his Line 6 DL4 pedal mostly for related effects.
Mind? I know you're blown. You can come back now. It's over.
What’s the year?
