Deathstep has always been real interesting to me and only a few songs have ever captured my interest, I’ve definitely liked some in the past but overall it feels like a weird pre-dubstep late Metal evolution of music, and maybe that’s what some people find appealing that’s fine for sure, but I’ve always liked and been obsessed with dubstep because the sounds feel so precise, purposeful, stand alone-ish but put together in a way that makes a continuous song while most deathstep is like someone took all the spaces between the sounds in dubstep out then added metal music and a loud blender in the background so you can’t tell what’s happening and what sound is being played which has been my problem with a lot of songs of all genres over the years. But honestly that might be what deathstep is supposed to be and mean and I’m completely not understanding it. probably the case.
