Nio has done a great job at studying the Tesla Model Y market and do it better in all aspects + battery swapping. curious if Tesla will cut prices soon to keep competition.

Tesla's already cut prices, their the ones who started the price war. They need the Model Y refresh.
@@jasonmugridge correct. I meant to do more cuts down to $30k to compete with L60 if it sees it as a threat. Time will tell.
I don't think so, Tesla will stop the price war because it hurts all Industrie, NIO will survive this war because of the no limit founding of the CCP.but I think l60 will be a good alternative to model y , if the specs are also true in the real world
@@simodovic1731 Some say the model y are tuned for the EPA cycle, while the L60 are tuned for the Chinese CLTC cycle, so it's hard to say if the L60 can beat tesla on energy comsuption while cruising at high speed.
Great review. Though the Onvo team provided limited information (as one would expect at this stage), your take on this newest industry participant leaves me more knowledgeable and admittedly excited about what is yet to come.

Very interesting proposition - many thanks for posting!
It is surprising that they kept the swappable battery feature for a cost focused NEV; especially when competing against others that have conventional fixed batteries. Unless it was too expensive to reengineer a conventional battery setup? Swappable batteries are certainly a unique selling proposition, hopefully one the market will value.
Great that they still have a HUD and steering column stalks - I suspect that one day Tesla relent.

Battery swapping advantage is that you can have an up-to-date car 10 years from now. I guess there will be 200kwh+ batteries, where today's 60kwh ones will seem as tiny - and thats why it makes the car worthless.

Is the centre screen positioned low like Nio or higher up like Tesla?

Im afraid if theres no instrument binacle in front of the driver, then theres no chance of a sale to me.
yeah, no instrument does feel weird, but there's HUD. They gotta cost some savings somewhere I think.

Not every one, but similar cars at the same price point will definitely see Tesla as the biggest competitor to surpass, so they want to be a Tesla killer. Comparing EVs with Tesla is what every consumer would do.
The stock just dropped 10%. So up to par for nio so far. Alot of news and nosediving stock.
Its the traders..will bounce back up
Buy the rumor, sell the news. Nothing out of the ordinary here.
the real reason is what Biben just anounced, instead of the release of the L60.
