@@Vool2go sounds like a pre-recorded/edited double being played underneath as a backing track, combined with some real time tuning (something like Waves RT) on the live/lead vox track. This kind of stuff is pretty industry standard now though. Also the way the camera is placed on her, hiding her mouth behind the big pop filter on the mic, makes it hard to see what's happening. Pitchy. Where is all the attitude and confidence of the original production? I like her, I like her voice, she looks nervous in this recording, starts to loosen up about halfway through. I love the guitarist who goes between his midi controlled guitar rig to the keyboard for the chorus and the drummer's energy. I think Mia needs to open up a bit on stage. This is as small as it gets, an empty room with just musicians, and that obviously AMAZING personality is extremely subdued here. Redo this, and do something fucking crazy every single time you play this song, make a couple others capitalizing on that scary chick character, and you will get your 100M views. The music is good, but what made the original video is her, her personality, the in-your-face-attitude of the song. This is a different girl, isn't it? The key to Mia being successful is her showing us that she is really enjoying it. This is not that. Mia, you are still reading comments, you aren't that famous yet. Show that incredible personality during every performance and maybe make us wonder if you really are psycho, we won't be able to get enough. There is studio you and stage you and you should never show studio you on stage. Stick with hot and edgy because you rock it so much better. I don't want you calling in sick. Dumb line, not edgy. This track is hot, but the other video, people can't look away because you.
My same feelings, she's an amazing singer with a fantastic personality. Sure the song sounds the same here, but she looks like scared or something, very subdued
@@Laurarat History lesson. Every 10 or 15 years a great performer comes along and breaks the mold. Come the following 10 to 15 years the music public is forced to suffer the plethora of unoriginal copycats that jump onboard with this new sound. Some of these performers are very good, some mediocre and some just plain bad. Our Billie here is actually kind of OK. I would be entertained in a live setting but the copycat inflection, phrasing and breathing is just too much for any real audience to ride with.
@@xwhite2020 I wouldn't exactly call her a Billie copycat but I get where you're coming from. From my point of view, we're getting way too many teenage girls nowadays who think they can easily make it in the industry with a "quirky" image or a "cute cozy" acoustic guitar sound. Given that they have decent (social) media coverage and connections to produce them, they're not wrong. The music industry is getting more and more saturated every day and that brings the copycats with it. I'm not trying to say they're totally talentless but they're not awfully unique either.
@@xwhite2020 i would say it is somewhat reminiscent of her first album, but that album itself really wasn't anything that unique or interesting in the first place. I just thing she got uniquely popular out of that so i think you mistake a cliche for a copycat
