Found you guys! Actually found you twice. Once giving the thumbs up sitting down and again up the stairs holding the camera next to the floating head. Very cool picture. Machu Picchu is definitely on my bucket list. Keep the awesome videos coming. Getting smarter everyday.
+TheAnnoyingThingOutdoors so that you can use them to sell legally if you really want to, even if you aren't going to sell the photos you could very easily be prosecuted so it's worth the stress.
He wasn't there when the 1st picture was taken. They took pictures of the entire scene then went down and got another photo with them in it and overlapped them. They lady had since moved. At ua-cam.com/video/kfLH5_RWZH4/v-deo.htmlm4s in you can see the individual frames.
There are also two people with missing lower halves, and a lady whose legs are screwed up. I was also able to find multiple clones as well. It's because multiple pictures were taken, then strung together into one big image. So people on the borders of the images will especially be affected.
This is so amazing Destin! This, accompanied with your personal tour of Machu Picchu was awe-inspiring and amazing! You're right, I don't know if I'll ever have the funds to go there so I am so fortunate and so thankful that you planned this and decided to share it free on youtube to everyone! Thank you!
Found you with the camera/floating head, you with the big cheesy grin and thumbs up, and him smiling from the little courtyard on top. That's an amazing place!
I've learnt more watching your channel for last 3 days than i did from last 5 years on UA-cam!!!! thanks man!! i feel at home watching your videos every sec is worth it!!!
partlycurrent Ah ok that makes a lot more sense. I can imagine that professional productions can be bothersome if they bring large crews or a lot of equipment. I thought it was just a shady way to get some extra money from tourists, I guess I'm a bit too cynical :).
If you wonder why, well it's their properties. Like if i go to your home, taking pictures of your room and advertise it, people like it maybe you room is awesome. But what i did is wrong, i should pay royalty to you. In this case he wasn't selling anything so a permit would be the last thing he need.
Peter Timowreef It belongs to the country, the government's properties, artifacts, monument. The one who asked for permit is not the one who live there, idk for real i assume they are working there.
I can't wait for the tour!!! This picture is amazing. I'm so glad you're giving access to people who can't get all the way up to the mountain. This is incredible.
Hey Destin, I have been watching some of you videos for some time now, but really, they are awesome, I truely am getting smarter every day! I realize that making these videos of yours cost time and money, so I thank you for biting the bullet, keep up the good work!
Beautiful work. Not only did you do something unique, but also beneficial. Probably one of the best visual catalogs of the location in case it is destroyed.
My favorite part is zooming in on the mountain behind Machu Piccu -- it's called Huayna Piccu and you can see the elaborate terraces built to sustain living and planting. I was a difficult climb when I was there and much of what has now been uncovered was still overgrown with vegetation. Thanks for your work on this and sharing it!
How could anyone even consider clicking the dislike button? Your videos are always amazing, There must be a bot that goes through UA-cam randomly clicking dislike.
Found you! :) Jeff is actualy smiling to the camera and you are turned back and are talking to your camera! Also there is only girls head next to you...
No Destin is smiling at the camera with a thumbs up. You must have mistaken someone else for Destin. If you want to see Destin look at the tallest part of the city and work your way down the stairs.

The binaural delay is what gives you the most information about a sound's location, both in the left-right plane as well as the distance of the sound. That's why I tend to use the ORTF stereo miking method when I want good depth and 3D audio field.
What an incredible service you have done for mankind and history with this photo .What blows me away is the house they built high up on the tallest peak .The effort that must have taken is hard to believe .
Hey Destin, I am a longtime subscriber and you probably don't have time for thus but I really love the song in the video, is there any way you could make it available on iTunes instead of just their website? That would be amazing. Keep up the great work!
Heh, just as you were saying that you guys were playing "Where's Waldo?", I rolled right on to your position. Thumbs up D! (for video and the Waldo shot) -K
" The kings quote at the end refers to "When the house was built, it was with stone prepared at the quarry, so that neither hammer nor axe nor any tool of iron was heard in the house while it was being built."
I found you, Destin. And your friend. Mwah ha ha. That is one amazing photo. I can't believe the resolution at such a distance. How big was that file by the way? Awesome job!
I found a floating head, and both of you guys. Destin is giving a thumbs up, and Jeff is wearing an "Affliction" shirt. It's crazy how detailed it is!!
Awesome awesome stuff!! Oh and I found you both within less than a minute ;) the problem is you're both on the edges, which is the first thing I scanned ;) (with my eyes of course)
Also, aside from the fact that they're not claiming to have a photo with the highest resolution of all time - the photo you described of the Orion Nebula would not even come close to the same resolution. A photo of 18000 x 18000 pixels would "only" equal 324 Megapixels. This photo of Machu Picchu is 16 Gigapixels (16000 Megapixels) or about 50 times as detailed as the Orion Nebula photo that you described.
Great photo, Jeff! I found you right away. You have a different shirt on, with no emblem but I couldn't mistake the hat. I found you Destin, sitting part way up a run of stairs, with your right thumb up and again, up those stairs from the back. Fun episode!
I checked out the photo. Very nice :) I have some questions though: Some walls are, as you said, polished to fit perfectly, some use mortar and some are just loose. why did they use different techniques? Did the polished stone walls mean important buildings? The mountain is fairly inaccessible so where did they get the rocks from? And what about water? they were too high for wells and a daily hike down a mountain seems too much effort. Come to think of it why did they build on a mountain?
Destin, Recently subscribed. Looking forward to more videos. Saw the panoramic picture of the Ashlar Wall in Machu Picchu. I'm thinking Cyclopean masonry with mud and sentiment used to reinforce the stone around the window-ways and top. Do I need a little more?
The Picture is amazing :) very nice and what i thought was interesting is when you look at the buildings, you can kinda tell which ones were houses and which ones served another purpose just by looking at the way they're built!
there's a few glitches in this photo that I found: 1) at the top of the stairway in the bottom left corner of the photo there is a woman in the doorway wearing a white and black striped shirt. There seems to be a head superimposed over hers. 2) On the right side of the large field a long stairway runs down towards us. A head hovers at the foot of the man in light blue walking down from the top 3) at the top of this stairway, there are floating legs. There are probably more, try and find em
Destin is actually in the picture twice - once with his thumbs up sign pretty much dead center of the picture, and once directly above that about 40 meters higher up facing away holding up a camera to the right of that woman's floating head - wearing the plaid shirt and shorts in both cases. Jeff is on the left (highest) elevation buildings, farthest one to the left right beside the large boulder outcrop with moss on it, standing alone inside what looks to be an evenly leveled structure.
The loading time of the picture took just about half the play time of your video. Not used to waiting on pictures to load, but it's a mammoth megalith montage!
The photo is taken from over 1,000 photo's and combined. The photo's are then merged by a computer into the final gigapixel photo. As people move around while the 1,900 photo's are being taken, there are bound to be inconsistencies.
I went with a group to do service there, and wound up getting food poisoning the morning that the group went to Machu Picchu...so...thanks for the close-up look!
Hey Destin the photo has a problem. Well actually two problems. I highly recommend you that take a closer look on the left of the photo at the crowds of people there is a woman with no legs and near that crowd there is a boy with two heads. Please if you can fix it.
Found Jeff too but not sure about your Destin description. Are you decribing the person with a green cheque shirt and grey cap? Because I found Destin in a pink shirt, sat on the stairs with a big grin and his thumb up.

It took us 3 days to get the shot.
The download link is in the video!
Okay. :)
Nice
I found Destin and the floating head.
+parajared fpv Right below where the floating head and Destin facing the other way Destin is sitting by the stairs posing.
+parajared fpv I found a pair of legs, knees down.

Ah, Ok, i did wonder why I wanted to sell a pair of lost legs. lol
You meant to answer another post.
No worries.:-)
Go to the image... go tot he building at the highest, zoom in, look at the guy in the stripped shirt. There is a floating head.
not just the floating head, that's him in the stripped shirt...
maybe that's just because he move after the panorama taken in frames by frame.
He wasn't there when the 1st picture was taken.
They took pictures of the entire scene then went down and got another photo with them in it and overlapped them.

I saw it too! I was searching for a comment to see if anyone else sees it too XD

has anyone noticed the floating girls head in the picture?
on the page there is a thing about ghosting you should read
Found you with the camera/floating head, you with the big cheesy grin and thumbs up, and him smiling from the little courtyard on top. That's an amazing place!
garbbean468 I also found the trash bag tucked away in an archway!
Found you in the pic, right by a floating head!
Found Jeff too
StarWolf watched this.
Love Mach Picchu!
I've learnt more watching your channel for last 3 days than i did from last 5 years on UA-cam!!!! thanks man!! i feel at home watching your videos every sec is worth it!!!
Found you, Destin. Didn't even have to zoom in much, your smile is recognizable to those who watch your videos frequently.
There is also this person at the very top of the front mountain... further down there is also a floating head... there is no body attach!!!
Fantastic! Thank- you for putting this together! Can't stop looking at the photo!
Why do you need a permit to take some pictures..?
You can take fotos without permission! As long as they are for personal use.
Professional videos or fotos require permission

Nobody lives in Machu Pichu. It's not a home in that sense.
Sweet, I'm heading there for Christmas. It's on a friend's bucket list.
on mine.
Hey Destin, I have been watching some of you videos for some time now, but really, they are awesome, I truely am getting smarter every day! I realize that making these videos of yours cost time and money, so I thank you for biting the bullet, keep up the good work!
thank you for making the trip when i can't
Beautiful work. Not only did you do something unique, but also beneficial. Probably one of the best visual catalogs of the location in case it is destroyed.
I think there's 2 of you... the one with you thumbs upping, then another of your back with a camera a little bit above it
There's also a floating head next to both of the you's that I found lol
Saw you giving a thumbs up in the picture. Well here goes the next few hours of my day. Seriously this is really cool, thanks for sharing.
If you click the link to the picture, and look at the top group of people, there is a girl with a floating head. :D

I found a floating head on the pic.. Hahaha
i found a floating head too!
I'm so glad you visit Cuzco Peru :) I really hope you enjoyed your trip.
hahaha theres a face floating on one of the rocks
I saw it too. There are a few faces floating around. I know the exposure is pretty fast since you clearly see people moving so IDK what's going on.
yeah at first i thought it might have been because of long exposure... but then i actually thought about it haha
Vic Vinegar That's where the pictures got stitched together, The exposure of every shot is very short but there is a time laps between shots.
James Bordon 4 months later...
Thumbs up Destin. I really enjoy your videos

The Foreground is stunning but the mind blowing part is all that you can see in the background.
I found you in the photo, you're sitting on the stairs at the back, beneath a rock ledge giving the camera a thumbs up.
Welp.. looks like you found me. I'm right here.
I gotta admit, I quite enjoyed this :D SUBSCRIBED!
Heh, just as you were saying that you guys were playing "Where's Waldo?", I rolled right on to your position. Thumbs up D! (for video and the Waldo shot)

very cool Destin! I found you in the image fairly quickly, but spent another hour looking around! haha I love your channel!

Very cool man. Heading there this March. I think this is going to be the last year people are allowed to vist.
Found Jeff first, then you. Very cool picture, thanks!
I found you, Destin. And your friend. Mwah ha ha.

Thats awesome !!

Keen eye. We actually took 3.
CONGRATULATIONS DESTIN YOU HAVE TAKEN THE LARGEST PHOTO EVER TO BE UPLOADED TO THE INTERNET!!
Your audio is great! What mic and camera did you record the footage? Rick
The loading time of the picture took just about half the play time of your video. Not used to waiting on pictures to load, but it's a mammoth megalith montage!
Found you. Why is there a floating head next to you?
Awesome guys! Thanks so much for doing this and sharing it with all of us. Oh, and found ya. :)
kudos for the thumbs up in your Wheres Destin search. Awesome video and awesome picture!!!
I'm Peruvian and I approve of this video. Awesome! You should do the Inca trail :)

This guy is awesome! You should have your own TV show.
The photo was amazing, thanks
This show is gettin' damn good
I was lucky, found you just randomly under a minute. Thumbs up both ways =)
I went with a group to do service there, and wound up getting food poisoning the morning that the group went to Machu Picchu...so...thanks for the close-up look!
Time for a Where's Waldo moment!
Great panorama and walk-through!
I've always wanted to visit Machu Picchu, but I haven't had the chance so far. This picture is just amazing!!!
Hey Destin the photo has a problem. Well actually two problems. I highly recommend you that take a closer look on the left of the photo at the crowds of people there is a woman with no legs and near that crowd there is a boy with two heads. Please if you can fix it.
Thank you :-) Outstanding Images
its so weird i was searching for ages, then i read your comment zoomed in to have another look and i was literaly right on Dentin and haddnt noticed.
What camera did you use?
Found Jeff too but not sure about your Destin description. Are you decribing the person with a green cheque shirt and grey cap? Because I found Destin in a pink shirt, sat on the stairs with a big grin and his thumb up.
Thank you for share a little part of my beautiful country :))
