- Today, you can #GetReadyWithMe for all of my first #HOMECOMING week adventures! You’ve seen from Brooklyn & Bailey’s previous Homecoming weeks that they can be SO MUCH FUN, including themed dress up days, powderpuff football, the football game, and of course… the DANCE!
During the whole week at #school, we get to dress up in various fun themed outfits, so you will get to see those! Also, Homecoming is one of those events that is all about friends and fun, so if your school has a dance... you should totally go whether or not you have a date! If you have been following my socias, you know that my friend Aaron ended up asking me to the dance. (You have to admit, that the way he asked me was super cool! I love seeing how creative people get with this stuff.)
My #highschool holds a powderpuff game every year (where the GIRLS play FOOTBALL against each other), and this year my class (the sophomores) played the juniors. It was a SUPER close game, but the juniors ended up beating us. It seriously got so intense, my shirt ended up getting ripped somehow??
Of course you guys know that a lot of people wear mums for homecoming, it’s a huge tradition here in Texas, so I totally see why people get them. The truth is that they are VERY expensive, and people can get competitive with them, wanting their dates to have the biggest and most decorated mums. So, I decided to donate the money we would have spent mums and garters to a local women’s shelter! I figured the money should go into actually making a difference!
Getting ready for Homecoming at my house was a blast! It’s always fun to have a bunch of friends and family over to help do everyone’s hair and makeup! I’m late, but Kamri’s high school is quite small! At least when looking at the empty bleachers! The high school in my city has like 4,000+ students, so it’s kind of weird to see a high school have like 1,000 students. Sometimes even 300! 😂😂😂😂😂

I wish I had thought of something like that ,or seen you doing this, when I was going to Homecoming and/or when it was coming around the corner. I’m a senior now so that time has come and gone; but it’s a good thing for me since I dreaded mum day. They were so loud and I’m not into the tradition. It could have made a huge impact in my school since practically everyone wears them lol. So glad someone thought of it though !!! Go class of 2019 !!
