The Industry is mature but not dying. A lot of great near perfect models at different price ranges have been released over the years and it's hard to improve on them.
Ive been thinking about getting the kuru toga dive but i noticed you mention how poor the quality is and how the longevity of the pencil is short. Do you mind telling me if you think its worth purchasing or not?

Nice video, good insights. Have you tried a lead holder pencil? They can be sharpened like a wooden pencil but with a metal body and refillable!

$70, for the currently most engineered pencil, as a toy, of course worth it. If you after longevity, go buy something with simple mechanism.
