This video took way too long. I originally recorded it without the game audio. So I recorded the sounds from the game and added them manually in whatever free time I had:
- the background sound for each day and place
- the weapons
- the door on the boat opening
Sounds I didn't include because it would have taken even longer:
- weapons being dropped and picked up
- the door on the boat closing (because I couldn't always tell when it did)
So I have learned my lesson: ALWAYS MAKE SURE THE AUDIO IS BEING RECORDED TOO!
Now back to playing ISLE again.
Just a question, ya think you could help me C: doing the champ. I always kill normal mercs but when it comes to elite I cant do it
@@AirA.G.E I cannot promise anything but if I am on and I have the time. I have had a lot of requests, but to tell the truth, between work and editing, I haven't had the time to play Isle for the past 2 weeks. Also, for some reason, my son expects me to play games with him sometime. :-)

the only time I remember doing champion by my self is when my friend died to stan on the start of day 3 making me all alone. Thing was, I actually won and wasn't expecting to solo champion. Glad you won solo champion by the way.
Aha, the same happened to me. I was trying to kill the elite mercenaries with my friend, but he died as one of the normal mercenaries killed him. I soloed both normal and elites.

You got to find a lvl 2 keycard at entrance of the facility and go to the ships armory
Or just hack the facility crates.
Here’s a glitch, get map, go to door of armory, autoclick map, keep moving forward, get weapons, do the same thing on the second door. (lower door)
Theres a keycard in the cave system, in the facility and cards on the mercs that are dropped when you kill them.

I did it with first attempt today. I just take a battle rifle and Sniper rifle, and then smth went wrong for elite merces, and Flamethrower with Demo broked away, so I killed them both and get Demo's grenade launcher, and then I found the rest and finished them with grenade launcher :>

Demo mercenary glitched me in a hill and I got stuck then I got killed by the demo.

AH the good old days were you could shoot through walls, hacking wasn't added, you couldn't drown, and the elites didn't have vest (just some of the big things I saw)
Stan attacked me when I was using the energy lancer, I was on a roof and he came for me I shot him and he took damage.
Polonium 420 that’s tuff
When he does that. Run away as quick as you can. Pull out a gun and look at him and keep running. Don’t run in a straight line though. Leading him to water will slow his movement.
So when you lead him to water. Hold jump and keep swimming forward to go faster. BUT it’ll attract see monster.
I recommend learning how the facility works well if you ever try the champion badge again. The place usually has a lot of good guns, but there's also a lot of traps. Most of them can be easily taken away by viewing the hallway you're going to first to see if there's a trap. It can sometimes be hard to get back by day 2, but if you do get back by that time.. Well, it's very rewarding.

If I was in a group, then I would certainly go there, but solo, I found that I always ran out of time if I went there. I only have time for either the facility or the drone and the drone is much more useful I found. My strategy was to get enough guns to kill the first group of mercenaries and then use their guns to kill the second group.

I was really bad at the game, I had no idea what I was doing when I first played it, I couldn’t even escape by boat cause of the mercs, I tried and tried, one time I did it (they were glitched and weren’t shooting me) after a month I got predator, learned the island a little more, and after that I almost got champion with a squad but had to go, then I did it solo, I did it and escaped by teleported, after that I started doing badges, I was trying to get island grandmaster, after a while, I finally got it.
Tip: there is a ammunition box under water near the building that has a fishing rod inside making it easier to fight the mercenary without switching weapons

so much changed in three years! I played a game of isle with my friend yesterday and "Stan" attacked me on day 1
Ikr. I sometimes go back and rewatch some of my old videos and see how much has changed. It was great to begin with, but it has become so much better.
Just a tip if you try it again go strait to gens power anything and then get to the facility and only hack L4 crates and then when your done try stay out of sight from Mercanaires but try kill them then once you kill them bring anything and the L3 they drop them open security door if you didn’t hack then open the L3 crates then take what you need back to base and try get to a base with cover then try get the elites to come to you
Good plan. That is almost what I ended up doing for the True Champion badge.
When the man who isnt teen, can beat Elite Mercs, But you cant.
Me: Its very bad.
Worse yet, that man is a boomer! Hey, but I've been lucky and these were the elites before they got buffed.
@@DadCanInJapan You know, but you could do this badge more quickly and easily, i mean, there can be other way to get weapons on first day.
Its diving on treasure points.
Like near Lighthouse, Lake, and other two points near ship.
Also, you could use Watch Tower for more safety for camp(you can easily see and kill ghost, also, Stan can kill some of them too)
But you deserve respect, because your way more difficiltty and challenging.
Many people cant complete for this way like you did, in groups of 10.
@@user-os4qh9is9x Yeah, I did this before they added all that new equipment. This was the Champion badge, not the current True Champion (which I recently got with a friend and am currently editing the video). You might notice that I shoot through walls in this video. The developers have now fixed that so you cannot do that anymore. Also, I battle them in the ship, but now that whole area is on fire from the second day onwards - you cannot stay there anymore. So this video is actually out-of-date.

it would be harder and cool that they could throw grenades and when they died they would have a grenade in there hand and it would hurt the player

This man did this solo and I had to do it with 12 people in which about 8 of them died
With so many people, I would be worried about getting in each other's way.

Yeah, I kind of blew that age limit out of the water.
You should have went to the facility for more guns also you can hack one of the level 4 crates.The level 4 crate has a chance of the grenade launcher or the drone. Also Battle rifle has bad range bad ammo but good damage and a free light.
This actually happened before the update with the crates.
Now the demo is op he shreds you and the ghost or the specialist comes and finishes you off

Bro u need to use fresher weapons like the tactical pistol is long range and so it light machine gun kinda and you gotta use the elites specialties against them like the demolitionist cant shoot you when your too close and how the specialist and firebug are close range so medium and long range is best for them and ya know u need to know this stuff
And lastly always check your ammo before heading out of the safe zone

How did you see them without the HVG equipped?
The drone is in survey mode. I don't need to carry the controller around after setting that.
Hey dad is there a “Big” different batween the combat shotgun and the tactical shotgun? If so which would you recommend?
According to the wiki, the combat shotgun does twice the amount of damage (DPS 75 vs. DPS 35) and is a guaranteed hit. The tactical is only a decent hit. The advantage of the tactical is that it has a range of 110 vs 50 for the combat shotgun. Also the combat shotgun will keep firing until the target is dead.

I got a minigun and a flamethrower but Stan didn't care and killed me on the third day. (Fun fact it was on the same rock that you died on in the how not to survive video)

How do you do the voice overlays for these videos?
I usually add the voiceovers after recording and in the editing process. If I try to do it while I am playing, the voice and the music go onto the same track and I cannot adjust it - I don't want the music and sounds to drown me out. I edit the video and then play it back to record the voiceover, remembering how I felt when I played it. Then I put the 2 tracks together for the final video.
Overall good video and decent strategy though, I was yelling at you for doing things wrong.

They could get in with some difficulty, but unfortunately, it doesn't work anymore. From Day 2, the entire area is in flames.

Once you set the drone to Protect, Survey or Carry, whatever you want it to do, you can drop the remote and it will stay in that mode and follow you around.
How did u extinguish the fire in the ship
This was before the last update. Prior to that, the fire did not spread. They changed that because people, like me, were exploiting the fact that you could shoot through walls.

I don’t know why but sometimes the mercenaries die for no reason and I olny had to fight 3. I still died tho😭
It also sucks because I’m playing this on xbox so I can’t use the free camera and shoot through the wall.
Never mind I just got the true champion thing. Thx to the guy with the grenade launcher who randomly died, I was able to damage 3 of em badly with the grenade launcher and snipe them after.
I still don't have the true champion yet. Working on it. As for the mercs, Stan is also taking them down. One time, he took down 3 of the regular mercs for me.
Wait what I’m confused you said he doesn’t attack on day 1 but I was playing with my friends and I was separated from them insanely far but then stan was already watching me and tried attacking me at night in day 1
Sorry, I meant he doesn't attack you during the daylight hours on Day 1. You are fair game during the night. As the days progress, he will get more and more aggressive and attack you during the daytime.

Actually this was before the last update. They added the fire so that people like me couldn't use that area to shoot through the walls at the mercs. :-)
FUN FACT: Jumping attracts the mercenary and Stan. Try avoid jumping at all costs (Noise attracts NPCs and sometimes players for example: pulling out a gun makes noise)
I did not know that. I will use that knowledge to my advantage.
Flare gun can also be used to distract mercenaries or Stan over to that area. Warning. When you do this you might want a strange drink on you so you can run away faster and get away before Stan appears.
@@stalking_you7138 I tried that when I wanted the mercs to come to the watchtower, but they just ignored it. Mind you, that was a while ago, and I gave up on it. I hope they changed that.
Worked for me. Mercenaries always come for me when I spam equip gun. Actually working on a video that tells what makes noise. By the way Sea Monster has bad eye sight but amazing hearing.
If it doesn’t work try getting out in the open and have them see you then go back to where your camping as quick as possible. Normal mercenaries won’t go in watchtower but elite mercenaries will.
I don’t think jumping makes too much noise. Try finding a flare gun, flare gun is much louder and makes a huge red ball in the sky for the NPCs to go to and see.

Crossing the bridge from the observatory (night vision goggles), drop down and enter the large cave. Enter the cave at the back and turn left when you come to the fork. You will find it at the end. You don't but it really helps. It will help to protect you. Also you can put it in survey mode and then drop the controller. You will still be able to see where the elites are and have 3 empty slots for guns, etc.
I'm really skillful at this game
Bruh I can't get TC because my game would always crash, however, I did get Island Predator cause the game took pity on me for my internet going down, and after I kill the medic and the sniper, (the spotter died by Stan's hands before I even confronted the soldiers, which I did I on day three) the gunner drowned or maybe Stan spawned on him or something, the commander ran away and right before my game crashed, using the drone, I was the commanders outline disappear, so Stan was the mvp, I got the badge and the title, and then I crashed, BUT I GOT THE BADGE AND TITLE SO IT WAS ALL WORTH IT!
And yes it was a private server, so I did do it solo

This is a very old version of Isle, before Isle 8. The devs changed it so you couldn't stay inside the ship
