Love hearing your honest opinions on things you're using/finished. The fact that you repurchase some of the same products is a testament to how much you like them!!! Ohhhhh the puppy heads!!!! Hey Mal and Wash!!!
Lots of pup love! I love the things that I have found work for me. While it's fun to try new things, you know when you need a product to just work or save a makeup look.
I will always check in to an hour. Long video. 45 minutes. That’s too short!!😂🤣😂 As always, great job, I certainly have not finished the items that I purchased a year ago. Shame on me however, I strive to be like you one day, Erin❤
But I think you are in a different position because it is part of your day job to test out things. I'm sure for you, it can feel hard to keep the balance. How often do you give items away to other workers in the store to test out?
@@MyNewObsession2017 So many times I think about getting a part time job at Ulta. Like just hire me to go clean the testers and put things back where they belong. My OCD traits would love that. 😅
Nice!! I think this mindset has spilled over into all parts of my life and it has helped me not only have less stuff around me, but also meet so many financial goals!
@@erintaylorwrites I watched your mindset video about beauty buying and it was so impactful. I ordered an eyeshadow from Sephora and I never even went to pick it up because I probably have those colors already. I went Christmas shopping and bought a foundation. After I left the store, I ended up opening my inventory spreadsheet and promptly returned that foundation. I already have way too many foundation….having that spreadsheet reminded me of what I already had and I did not need another one
You are welcome!! I'm watching more of your vlogmas videos right now!! 24 palettes that stand out! My Light In Your Eyes palette is being delivered tomorrow!!!!
Ugh I used to get styes all the time!! I had to use a lid scrub after I took my makeup off (switched to baby shampoo once I realized that was also a suitable lid scrub!), warm compresses and eye drops because apparently my tears dry too fast. So sorry your unwelcome friend has returned!! Hopefully it goes away and stays away. 🤞
Be careful using the hypochlorous acid before other actives because it can actually neutralize them and prevent them from working. I generally use it only in the morning and only immediately after a shower while I’m going about my business. Give it a good 15 minutes to absorb before going in with anything else. My derm gave me all of this advice!
I love your long videos!!! Plus, you always hit the nail on the head while talking about using your products and consumerism . I go through my makeup and make decisions while listening to you. Can you believe I have that Christmas palette from Oden's and I haven't even use it? That just right there tells me how bad my collection was getting. I have over 250 palettes Erin, right now I don't know how to fix what I have done. I don't want to declutter for the sake of declutter but I need to lower that number or I will go crazy. I don't know how to start making choices. I been using one palette per day but one use is not enough to know the formula. Mind you I know I love my Natasha collection and Ensley has been the constant use for the past 3 month. That much I know. But no regular person needs this much makeup. I use my makeup at work which I work a lot of days in a month sometimes 22 days. So I use my makeup but is too much. Please if you can give me some tips I appreciated. I was going to do product 10 uses but I have so many I won't be able to use them all in a year if I do that. HELP! P.S. Love seeing Mr. Malcolm Much love and kisses! and lots of love to the rest of the fur babies! 💖💖💖💖
if I were you, I would pull out some palettes that have never been used and decide if there are any that can be decluttered and either put them on a resale site as unused or donate/gift them to others. Then I would look at my older palettes and see if any of them are too old and need to go. Then maybe look at broken packaging for cheaper palettes. From there, tackle the mindset that you need to keep all palettes from a brand to have your collection complete. Then I would look at color stories that are not your favorite. For me and my makeup use, I think around 65 palettes is manageable to use every shade through the year. If you want to keep palettes as merch or as memories, then that is fine, but take them out of your collection. The rest is going to be mindset about not needing every release and not needing to keep up with people on UA-cam (if this has been an issue in the past, it was for me). ❤️

I really agree with the rich romantics palette, the shifts could have been more versatile.
yeah, I wish I knew more about multi chromes when I bought that palette.

i’m with Andi 😂 eye cream is a SCAM! I somehow get an eye cream in a kit or a subscription box and i’m like ooooo yay a travel sized moisturizer 😂
LOL! That is too funny!! I'm still holding out hope that an eye cream will fix all my problems. 😂
