I found just one performance of "La Traviata" in Cologne with this cast. It took place on March 12th 1974 in the Cologne Opera house. Here comes the complete cast: Violetta - May Sandoz Flora - Elisabeth Payer Annina - Marita Knobel Alfredo - Ramón Remedios Germont - Camillo Meghor Gastone - Martin Finke Barone Douphol - Takao Okamura Marchese d'Obigny - Francisco Vergara Dottore Grenvil - Klaus Bruch Giuseppe - Curt Thomas Servo di Flora - Alejandro Vazquez Commisionario - Klaus Beermann Chorus of the Cologne Opera (Chorus Master: Hans-Wolfgang Schmitz) Siegerland-Orchester (replacing the "Gürzenich-Orchester" sometimes in those days) Conductor - Eberhard Adler Best greetings and thanks again for uploading this, Martin
Thank you so much for providing so much detailed information; this makes the performance so much more meaningful. May Sandoz is a name I remember. She is a very fine Violetta, a soprano who, unusually, manages to convince in all the heroine's music. I see she sang Queen of the Night at the 1978 Glyndebourne Festival.
Thank you very much for uploading this. Perhaps you like some information about that performace. First: The name of th singer of Violetta is "May Sandoz", who was an acclaimed Colorature Soprano that time, first of all as Queen of the Night in "The magic flute", a part she sang very often in Cologne. Germont Père was Camillo Meghor, a belgian baritone, especially for the Italian repertoire. Flora was Elisabeth Payer (not Payne). Perhaps I find more information about the rest of the cast in my large collection of documents from the Cologne Opera. best greetings, Martin
May Sandoz sang the Queen of the Night seven times at The Met in the Chagall production in 1979.

Elisabeth Payer (later Payer-Tucci) became a Wagnerisn soprano...I saw her as Senta in Boston. She sang the SIEGFRIED Brunnhilde at The Met in 1981.
@@oberon481 I remember her singing Donna Anna and Saffi in "The gipsy baron" in Cologne
