Johnny Savage you're just lazy
The way he talks says he matured fast...which is a product of hanging around with adults a lot when working as a child actor. I don't think college "taught" him to speak and think the way he does unless he majored in psychology, philosophy etc. I noticed a lot of child actors have "old souls". You could see this when they do interviews. Again this is not coincidence...it's just a byproduct of working with adults while growing up. When you're forced to work with people much older than you who are full of wisdom, you tend to take a lot of it in.
It's funny that I came upon this video because I had no idea who he was until I looked up his brother who I know from Dungeons and Dragons on Twitch. I had no idea Dylan had a twin brother. Cole reminds me of my nephew but much more mature.
So refreshing to hear a former Disney star not blame the company for their sad childhood, and in return actually be thankful for the opportunities they were given.

i love how cole thanks disney for the doors it's opened for him and his brother as i don't get to see that much from other old child stars. usually all i hear from them is how the network's covered who they really were or that they couldn't express themselves. i understand that point of view yet would appreciate that they admit though, it's a privilege to have started at such a young age in any network and to be able to sustain a good life ahead of you. your individuality and self expression can be conveyed after your contract, everyone knows you're just acting.
And it just goes to show for how sophisticated these two are, as they had the worst falling out with Disney compared to the other child stars. You should check out Dylan's interview on that. Yet they're mature enough to get past it and appreciate the opportunities it bore.
Av J Disney sucked everyone else's soul & milked them for all they had. This falling out was the boys fault. Furthermore, all of the former stars have come forward & thanked Disney.
Dennise Ann Others have thanked Disney too. They just put their truth out there. The boys also hit at Disney when they left. They actually had the best Disney experience. They could be themselves & had the lightest schedule. Yet their egos got the best of them & if they couldn't have complete creative control then they weren't going to stay. Disney said no & they left. Everyone else had to actually play frauds in real life. Even their content was altered by Disney so much. They were being over worked, couldn't enjoy their passion or be themselves since in the Disney world the cameras never go away & you don't stop acting.

I would say it probably has a lot to do with parents. As much as parents may love their children..child actors can bring in BANK for the family, & being a child in general you are easily persuaded by doing what your parents tell you. If they were both able to go to college & pursue those paths in life, I'm sure it was the parents always allowing them this capability of openness towards leaving the industry if they ever chose to. They never felt a certain pressure to continue a career they were not sure if they were happy in.

AD L Nick Jonas was always that way. Still is. He just didn't go to college. The only difference is that Nick used to & is still picked on for being an intellectual & the way he carries himself.

I hate when people praise parents for their child's success or behavior. Do not get mistaken, parents didn't make him the way he is. We develop our own personality and start thinking for ourselves by time we're 4. He is self-made.

I liked that. It's odd, he seemed quite disconnected and put on a sort of fake persona initially, probably because he hadn't done a lot of actual spontaneous interviews in a while. But then he got into it and became himself. Unfortunately I've already heard everything he's said before in other interviews. But awesome.
I'm so happy that him and his brother are okay and have gotten to have a "normal" life for a few years and didn't turn out to be one of those kid stars that develop bad habits... It must be hard for a kid not to be influenced by the wrong people and I'm very glad they knew how to avoid all of the bad stuff in the industry and find who they are out of it

Very mature interview. Especially given that both he and Dylan had a fairly bad falling out with Disney at the time after Suite Life ended. Its nice that he's gotten past that and is thankful to Disney for the experience as a child star yet seems to be carving his own way back after a break.
