    Have you tried a headless guitar yet, thoughts???

    • @liquid7315
      @liquid7315 5 років тому +1

      I never have, I honestly have not ran across one to play. Does a headless make it feel different vs Playing one with a headstock? it's kind of a dumb question, but I imagine it's just visual aesthetics that might make it feel different because of visual perception . I imagine they weigh just a little Less? This guitar featured in this video looks very inviting.
      P.s. no worry about banging head stock accidentally against wall or anything around I suppose .lol (still watching video, midway) so it does feel different... man I want one now!

      I have a Strandberg and will own a Kiesel Osisiris and or Zeus soon. I love the new headless models! I would have ordered the Osiris instead of the Prog 6 Strandberg but didn't want to wait, so Kiesel will come second...

      You know that’s a small but favourite feature for me. When I’m recording and leaning over to change pedal settings etc, there’s no headstock to knock off the table!! But the tension and feel of them are amazing, I’m a huge fan.

      I have an Osiris multiscale 8 string with Fishmans. LOVE IT! Plays so easy. Have been thinking about an Osiris 6, and I now might have to get one from the McRocklin run!

      @@McRocklin thanks!... I know I will, I am a big Kiesel fan and have several models, best guitars out there. Your model is just perfect to scratch an itch I had, I wanted to try the roasted necks and boards, as well as trying the Tosin pick-ups with the single coil sounds... Your setup just answers all of those questions, and I know I love the Osiris.

    Early comment : You inspire me to keep improving on guitar and you are becoming a favorite. Guitar is so much fun, I own a gibson sg, evh circles, and a American special strat. I heard that once you get a kiesel, it's hard to not keep playing them... I wish I had one of every guitar! Lol. Good day to you sir.

    I just picked up one of these used. The neck looks and feels incredible, but I get some tuning stability issues when I go hard on the trem or my bends. You'd think with the carbon fiber rods and locked strings it would hold tune, butI am guessing that is why Kiesel discontinued thinner profile roasted necks.

    @McRocklin how does it come if it's not wired the way you do it??? I just ordered a Kiesel yesterday with the Tosin's but didn't specify how it would be wired by default. It obviously wasn't part of this build you did 4 years ago it was my own setup.

    • @McRocklin
      @McRocklin  Рік тому

      It’ll come with a three way switch :(

      @Zergbad Рік тому

      @@McRocklin does that mean you are not getting access to certain voices or is it just a different physical switching situation you are in at that point? I'm new to electric and have been using your videos as inspiration. Was going to comment later but ill do it now since you are kindly responding that your clean tones on the tim henson vs scott pickup video towards the end are so unbelievable with whatever you were playing. You should do a clean tone only jam video thats at least 15 minutes that would be so great.

    • @McRocklin
      @McRocklin  Рік тому +1

      Actually you might get most of the voices but you might not have all of the splits. I think if you get a push/pull on the tone and volume, then you can access all of the tones. For my sounds I’m using www.polychromedsp.com 👍🏻

      @Zergbad Рік тому

      Yea I just got it 2 days ago look me up Will B. :) I'll be getting in the school soon as well. So to get splits that sound great like you are doing you must get a 5 way superswitch correct? If yes, anything else? @@McRocklin

    Are there any 7 string available like this one?

    • @McRocklin
      @McRocklin  5 років тому +1

      This special is only available in six string. You could obviously go the traditional route and spec out a 7 how you like it though.

    So kiesel is actually roasting their wood now instead of color treating to make it look "baked"? That is good news. Or wait lemme see if I have this...roasting is for Maple. Any other wood doesn't come out like Maple because of the lack of syrup. So the ktb gives a roasted Maple look on any wood. Do I have this right?

    • @McRocklin
      @McRocklin  5 років тому

      Ktb is some ok maple only I believe. Roasted is a thing now yeah 👌🏻

    • @edrosenquist6541
      @edrosenquist6541 2 роки тому

      Roasting is a heat treatment thats been around since man used pointy wood to stab meat with. Carbonizing wood in fire hardens the wood and makes it more stable. It works.

    They might be a great guitar but I won’t be giving any money to baby Jeff. I saved up for one of these then saw his tantrum. I got a Les Paul.

    • @McRocklin
      @McRocklin  3 роки тому +1

      I thought you were gonna say Ibanez or Jackson etc, I got a chuckle when you said Gibson. Not because they make bad guitars, but because that’s a company that’s 💯 thrown plenty of unusual tantrums. Enjoy your guitar bud, that’s the main thing 👍🏻
