Awesome video! Damn, I was involuntarily holding my breath a few times. The sport bikes blast past on the long high speed straight, but most of them were holding up the SM going into and even coming off the corners. The riders in front were hanging off, knees skimming the pavement and the 690 rider is at feathered throttle just looking for and finding off the line gaps to blast past the traffic that was holding him up in the tighter stuff. The video shows just how punchy quick a good running 690 is. 690s are a riot in the canyons, out in the real world. Have done a few track days myself, Intermediate group is scary AF as the riders have some speed, but their lines are all over the place. The maneuverable SM is a good tool for this chaotic environment 😆
Thank you !!! For sure the 690 is a blast on the trackdays. I love to annoy the sport bikes on the turns 😁. On the straight i needed to hold the throttle at 2/3 of the straight or else the bike would cut because reached top speed. This was intermediate group and the supermoto hold much better that i tought. Supermoto for me are the best, High fun on Low speeds. The lines on this track cant be the "optimal" ones because the pavement is really bad and people need to avoid the bad parts. In the canyons the 690 is for sure a beast. I need to upload more on youtube 😆. On instagram i have some reels showing the fun it is on the canyons.
thank you ! Supermoto are the most fun thing in terms of motorcycles. Many supersport people joke that are pit bikes but then they get a surprise 😄 Love your videos giving hell to big bikes 💪
Yeah, pavement is really bad. It's a shame because the "perfect" line cant be done because i have to dodge the imperfections on the pavement. Thank You!
I don't use the downshift just because i am afraid of breaking something. I already break a clutch basket because of wheelies so I don't want to be harsh on downshift. I use many times the upshift but depends a lot. Sometimes is good to modulate the clutch since the floor on the track is really bad.
@@MotoExploring Not necessarily in Germany. I have the Hockenheim Ring nearby. But this Track is too fast for my 701. But I live right on the French border and France is full of great Tracks🇫🇷❤
In the majority is a chill group i enjoy the pace. Only one i hated was the black CBR that come from the inside making me change trajectory to avoid crashing him and the same idiot go full throttle in the middle of two bikes on the straight. One thing is i crash for my fault, another is a idiot that is impredictable.
Map 1 on the modes? The map 1 is the mellow one that the motorcycle is more restricted. I never use it because on the 2 the motorcycle is still easy to ride.
The guy that crashed reached to me after I post this video. He said front tire was worn and the tire guy on track wasn't there. This crash was in the first lap of the first session. The guy who crashed rode the rest of the day.
@@MotoExploring Yeah, cant ask too much from a worn tire, thats for sure. Glad to know they're okay. I love it when I show up, especially as a coach, and the tire guy isn't there..... "Guess I'm not coaching both days!"
@@SilkLotusI always go to track with the tires already mounted. This is just 5 sessions, a tire can last a lot in this motorcycle because she is light.
Looking behind you like that will probably cause an accident one day, it's dangerous, you need to keep looking forward because you're reasonable for not rear ending the rider in front.
I was looking behind on the end of the long straight because some "racers" like to cut from the inside and I will get T-boned because they will cross my path and sometimes they can't brake enough.
Sick POV with so many bikes around!
Is really cool to ride like this, we just need to try to ride clean paths.
Whoa bro this is crazy! You keeping up with them is crazy 🙌🏼
Thank you! This was the intermediate group. The bike keep better then I expected.
Out of the corners the high torq and lighter weight shows it looks like a rocket coming out of the turns

The pavement looks so bad :O Nice riding!

Já tinha saudades 🙌🏻
Tenho de editar os videos do trackday, isto é só a primeira sessão.
Grande Kaiser!
Não olhes para trás pá! ahah
A queda foi pneus frios aposto..
O piloto dessa mota disse-me que a mota tinha pneus gastos. Á pala disso não fiz o resto do dia a curva por fora e era mais eficiente.
I noticed you're using the clutch instead of the quick shifter. Are you using them for both upshifts and downshifts? And why not the quickshifter?

the autoblip system sucks on these
did you play with the suspension setting or is it all stock?
its on "sport" setting. Under seat you can see the settings. Stock suspensions.
Nice riding👍 Whats the name of the Track?
Circuito Vasco Sameiro - Autódromo e Kartódromo Internacional de Braga
@@MotoExploring oh that's in Portugal. A little too far from Germany😂 thanks anyway.
@@TheNoksukow yeah. It's half an hour of me. You must have sweet tracks in Germany

yeah, my problem in this track is the bigger straight, i need to module the throttle to get +-195 km/h because the bike cuts at 200
@@TheNoksukow
Theres a lot of people that shouldn't be in this group. Good job avoiding the hazards

Map 1 you want mate good fun 😅

Sorry ment 2 ,😊aggressive
@@JasonGirvin-bk7bi yeah. Is manageable, map 1 i feel the engine is with problems because if I am harsh riding the engine cut power 😄
Is this stock or you have anymod on it?
rade garage storage kit(different air filter) and leovince nero slip on. The transmission is 15-44 or 16-44.
🔥🔥🔥
Did you also crash in the end?
Nop. Crash is at 00:49 , the guy crashed basically in the first lap.
ich würde den renne fahrern ja eher mal einen adac kurs und kurventraining ans herz legen^^
😁I dont know wich options of courses they have here. This is a nice entry level to start trackdays,
Braking mid corner at max lean ...... that wasn't smart. hope they're okay. This video reminds me of why novice is so sketch :(

The classic mistake of people 0:51 pushing too much on the warmup lap...
The owner of the bike that crashed told me he was riding with bold tires. The track was dirty at the end.
KTM SMC ITS NOT A TOY ....ITS A F.....N WEAPON
ITs a fkng weapon or a fun weapon or both ? 😁
These straights sucks))) twisties are nice!
