I agree. I have a special needs daughter and when she started school she would be brought home.by taxi at 11 am ( short school day, we live in a small town, my dad used to drive taxi, I grew up with some of the drivers) well around April I was outside waiting for her taxi and it never came.. I panicked. Usually if the taxi is running late, the school would call and tell me " the driver is running late, She's still here" no phone call, So I assume she's in the taxi. It's literally a 3 minute drive.. 5 if you hit traffic and one red light. I call the school.. " Oh yeah she's still here, didn't the teacher call you? We've extended her day, She will be coming home at 1pm"..

This video was posted 7 years ago, and it was in my recommended. Imagine that girl now, thinking back to this time. How can you accept calling it "overreacting?" You can't "overreact" when your son/daughter has gone missing, especially in this case! I mean, a 5-year old girl? If I was the child's mother, I would've called the police instead of calling the school. This was an extremely serious situation. I'd have done anything I could to get my daughter back. If this is overreacting when a child has gone missing, I wonder what your definition of overreacting is. I hope you're all safe in this hard time✌️

She reacted the same way any devoted mom would. We send our children off to school and expect them to return safely. The school should be ashamed and someone should had been sued or arrested for child endangerment. Thank god a good samaritan had found the girl and helped her find her way home otherwise the situation could had ended up so much worse. My heart goes out to the family and I pray this never happens again. The school needs to make sure no other family go through this and have better protocols to prevent it. This is outrageous

I misinterpreted this as meaning she was going to pick me up from school also, so did not get on the school bus and remember being alone and scared cuz mom never came. But luckily a neighbour came to pick up their kid and noticed me and drove me home lol. But anyways yeah I can totally see how something like this could happen, kids that small really don't understand the bus system and will just go with the flow. This happens to my sister when she was 6 she ended about 15 minutes out of town. Luckily where they stopped her they noticed it was my moms daughter and drove her back to us. My mom was scared to death. According to my sister she got a note that had her last name on it but a different first name. She told the bus driver that it wasn’t her stop but the driver insisted and dropped her off while some kids in the bus told the driver that it wasn’t my sisters stop.

This has happened to me twice, first time the daycare driver forgot to pick up my 1st grader from a Summer school program that went from 8 am to 11 am I was notified at around 2pm left work without notice what's so ever thinking the worse the school is about 25 min walking , I had to notify police myself ,daycare guy was just waiting for me outside my complex to tell me like wtf !!!! Gladly a students mom walked her with her directions and was found safe with my neighbor , it's absolutely terrifying 😢 second time happened last month where my same daughter was left by the afterschool activity bus at a stop about 40min away from home once again my heart dropped 😢😢😢😢
