Disaster management is very bad in india...govt should take actions and invest in development of technology in the sector. The helplessness seen in the shirur rescue happening currently is very evident. The country runs in publics money but why its not utilized in the right way, rather than increasing salaries of MPs MLAs and the unnecessary pensions received by politicians after their short terms in different govt institutions

@@user248-gpit see it's not nly abt the action taken after the disaster. In disaster mngmt it is emphasized abt mitigation and preparedness. I strongly feel we are a failure in that. When constructions r being done a lot can be done to try max to prevent disasters though i agree with the fact that nature is powerfulmost. No doubt u r rgt. But the money slated for various public contrstructions are swallowed by contractors and politicians. Why places never flooded in the past getting flooded in heart of cities like trissur. It's because of the non scientific contrstructions and lack of proper drainage systems. Every day we contribute in form of tax. Atleast a rupee. Do u think that still we don't deserve to live without fear of life? Also we require more inventions and easier mobilization of technology to aid disaster management. I hope robotics might have a role in that in future. I insist our country to make sure it grows in safety too with every step of development. It will only happen if politicians start to grow out of the possible vote banks
