I agree with yall, Brogdan doesn't move any needle for winning whatsoever. If we were already a championship caliber team I would say ok, but I would rather let the young guys develop.
The Rockets should stay put and draft Reed Shepard. I know we are having fun with this, but personally, this is a no brainer. I would want a guy that can shoot over 50% from the arc. ESPN mock draft suggest this as well. This guy is just too good to pass on. I just hope he drops to us at #3.
Reed/Clingan/Rischaser....these guys are not top-5 picks. Rob Dillingham is the guy for us. He a real PG while Reed just a Guard that can bring the ball up the court. He's not gonna break down a defense like Dillingham can. He doesnt have the speed and quickness like Dillongham. He doesnt have the same court-vision as Dillingham. Reed is basically a 2 that would be used as a spot-up shooter. We dont need him when we have a more athletic 2 in Cam Whitmore and can shoot and more than spell J.Green. Reed has no atheliticism and is slow. Rob Dillingham is our guy.

Under Udoka with Bona on the floor Amen Tari Jabari JG Cam. That’s a fast athletic high defensive unit. Bona from UCLA is a monster defensively. The best all around defender in the draft. Bar none.
There isn't a player in this draft available at the 3rd pick that's going to come in as a rookie and be a difference maker on this team this year. More than likely he'll be sent down to the G League. And that's ok, but at some point you can only develop so many young players before it becomes too many. Remember getting value out of collected draft picks isn't solely in keeping them all We were never going to actually draft and keep ALL those picks. They are simply assets Tradeable assets.... and some will be used to make deals.

I think Reed is the overall better player now, but Rob has bigger upside. If they trade, they need to give up 3rd pick to POR for picks 7 and 14. They should throw in whoever or whatever, not including any of our core 6, to make the trade work. From there, they'd be in position to potentially take BPA out of Dalton Knecht/Stephon Castle at 7, then possibly take Kel'el Ware at 14. I'm sure his perfect combine grade will raise his stock into the lottery. The Rockets could use an athletic floor running big that can stretch the floor and protect the rim. He can even sit and learn behind Steven Adams the first year or half the year. Having a player like Ware to add bench depth will serve the Rockets well in their future.
