I just got given a Westmalle beer package with the Tripel, Dubbel and the Glass. Next to Cornet it’s a really good Tripel. I could drink this at any moment. 🍻
absolutely love the Westmalle beers, and I finally got the glass for my birthday, it is gorgeous. I have never got my hands on the Westmalle Extra though, hopefully one day as I know its only really available at the brewery
@@TheBierHooligan You might get lucky. I was in Brussels in November and I didnt see it anywhere and I was in a few bottle shops. Apparently the Extra is only brewed a couple of times each year. I'd love to go to Bruges. That will be my next stop in Belgium. Being able to try Straffe Hendrick on tap would be amazing
@@TheBierHooligan I will keep that in mind for sure. I love the Bruges Zot! Have you ever tried the Kapittel Watou beers? Or the American Trappist beers from Spencer? Thinking of ordering the brewery sets from Belgium im a box website.
Tripels are the odd ones out for me because I really like the Trappist dubbels and quads, but Trips have never done it for me. Then again, it has been several years since I tried this. Which other Trappist ales have you tried?

I didn't like this very much. Too much alcohol and booze at the end.
