you know, scary Larry probably wasn't meaning to attack the player, but those wind-up keys and the music may have something to do with his behavior, and when he starts his attack towards scary Mary is maybe when he gets enough free will to attack her, as if you watch his eyes, his normal one focuses on Scary Mary about 10-15 seconds before he attacks. he also spells out "HELP ME" during the final phase.
after a while i just gave up cause i figured the boss was glitched since it was taking so long to reach the next phase with no meter or timer to let me know it was progressing properly.
I have a theory: What if Mary had another experiment on Scary Larry but failed and hid it to try cover evidence of that experiment she done. Secret ending: What if in the secret ending The old experiment Scary Mary done with Larry came back to life, went to the stage and revealed to be the original Larry since the Larry that was shape shifting would’ve looked bad or had ripped and a broken hat and mask
