Hi Casey, most of the hills on the course are the long gradual kind. There are a few punchy spots sprinkled in but they aren't long. I would imagine all hills are below a 10% grade. Does anyone else know the specific grades???
Thank you for making this video, I found it very helpful! Doing LP this year as my first attempt at the full distance so I have mixed emotions and LOTS of fear about the hills! Do you have an idea on what % grade the hills are? Specifically the punchier hills and then the long incline to return back to town? Thanks in advance!
Hey there! I did it last year as my first and I was pretty nervous as well but don't worry. You got this! I am doing it this year as well! I didn't think the % are that high but there is just soo much climbing lol. My watch and strava says I did 2900 feet per loop so 5800 feet total.
I don't have any direct experience on the CDA full course, but I believe it was widely considered one of the hardest Ironman courses on the circuit with 9000ft of climbing. 2024 IMLP comes in around 7000ft.
We haven't seen the official athlete guide yet, but Ironman and Gatorade's contract has ended. We're expecting Mortal Hydration on the course this year.
@@EnduranceMentors This just blows my mind. I specifically trained with endurance and maurten gels the last 6 months so i didn't have to pack anything with me on the bike or run. wtf are they thinking? This isn't even a sports hydration drink.
There's no need to worry! Don't hesitate to reach out if you ever want to talk it through. You can fill out the following link or just call my cell directly (203-464-3672). endurancementors.com/request-coaching-session/
Great video, thanks for putting it together. Can’t wait to rip it
Thanks Justin. Good luck in the pro field!

How do the climbs compare to IM CDA, if anyone did the Coeur D'Alene course?

@@EnduranceMentors IMCDA definitely felt like it. Several LONG and STEEP climbs on that course.
Why are you saying there won't be Gatorade endurance? It says on the website they are using it on the course....

They announced it a couple months ago.
