When i eat 2 meals i feel better, when i eat 6 small meals i end up over eatting
Because your calories was too low
@@MarksTournaments to weird with him , because 6 meals works better for me to prevent some one be hungrier. I eat only one meal at 11 or 12 am then i eat a bag of nuts every 2 or 3 hours ,protein only.

Me too
I have never been able to resist sugar and snacking. I started on a two meals a day and soon I had no cravings whatsoever. It’s much easier to be hungry than to resist cravings.
Added Sugar very addicting. I lost 10 pounds in 60 days quitting added sugar
I lost 22 kilos in 6 months,from 90 kilos to 68 kilos,by eating 2 meals one at 1pm and other at 8 pm,iam 5 feet 9 inches
ajeeth 79 what you eat in these two meals?
That is called intermittent fasting😂
Good job I am taking the same approach
I do 12pm to 6pm with low carb, good fat and low sugar.
Optimal fat loss happens when insulin is low. So imagine skipping breakfast and having lunch/dinner finishing your last meal at 6pm. You fast from 6pm-noon. This allows insulin to fully lower and around 8hrs per day your body is tapping into fat stores.
If you're eating 6x a day, you're constantly spiking insulin levels. Then after your last meal, at most you're getting 8-10 hrs before you eat breakfast. This is only enough time for your insulin to return to normal. So you never truly tap into bodyfat for energy. Now can you lose weight with 6x a day? Yes. But the ultimate goal is to drop excess fat which is not automatically tied to weight loss. This is why you see so many people that lose scale weight that still have high body fat percentages.
Ryan Deffley you are absolutely correct. Im on a keto diet with intermittent fast. I eat at 12:00 pm and 6pm. No snacking in between whatsoever. Every time you eat you raise insulin. A constant spike in Insulin will lead to weight gain. I started at 347 lbs. If I didn’t start this fast/diet I was easily going to be diabetic in the next 5 years. I have been losing about a pound ever 2-3 days consistently.
Eating smaller meals help insulin. Keto is different. Keto eats no processed carbs if you mix fat and carb its when insulin goes up if you eat too much. Therefore you store fat. But if you eat smaller meals your body wont store fat because your meals arent large.
it depends what you're eating those 6 times. Your insulin spikes off of large meals.
The funny thing about grazing is that your body adapts. You will secrete insulin throughout the entirety of the day (effectively making you inable to tap into fat burning and ketosis) and you will become hungry whenever you usally eat. (so basically all the time) in addition to becoming induced into fatigue for that very reason.
i've always seen it like a car engine. If you keep the engine on at all times will degrade the engine really fast. So eating twice a day allows the body to have long intervals where it is not digesting food, and helps the body live longer.
@@drivingbro , You don't have to overeat.
It's all about Insulin, the fat storage hormone. Every time you eat your Insulin rises and causes fat storage. I Eat 2 low carb meals a day, 6 am and 6 pm....dropped 10 pounds a month. 230 to 170. Still at 170 for 3 years now.
Stick to meat and vegetables like early humans did for millions of years. They didn't eat grains and carbs. The only time they ate fruit (fructose) was in summer to fatten up for the long winter. They dont teach much nutrition in Medical School. The emphasis is on diagnosis and medications, when food should be. You absolutely are what you eat.
You dont have to anser this but when you hit 170 are you trying maintaining the weight or loss weight. If you are tring to maintain the weight did you increase your calorie intake?
It's an ancient Indian way of eating... Yes .. two full meals a day.... Best way to stay healthy.... Post my second child birth, I and my husband adopted this system m lost weight without any hassels... I attained my previous shape and so did my husband... I have seen my grandfather doing this for whole of his life n went on to live 92 years healthy life... No blood pressure , no diabetes or any other ailments.... Even me n my husband have noticed tremendous changed in our looks.... Believe me... It works...
Yes it works
Do you ever get hungry between the two meals?
What about milk? Does it count as food?
@@tlibrary2741 at the beginning, yes.. I did feel... Once my body understood and adapted to it there was nothing as such.... But if I work harder than regular, I may feel a little low.. then I energize instantly with some healthy drinks but not with any meals...
@@Caesar88888 milk is health drink.. not a substitute for meals..
I’ve been on intermittent Keto diet. All I eat are fats, protein and low carb vegetables. The only liquids I consume are water, tea and coffee. No sugar added of course. The way to lose weight with a 2 meal a day fast is to make sure not to consume anything in between your meals. Literally. All you drink is water in between. Do this consistently and you will be in better health and shed weight. You will not starve or lose muscle. This is the proper way to lose weight with only 2 meals. I eat at 12:00pm and at 6:00pm. That’s it.
I am on the same diet and for me it works just as well if I eat an orange or a banana after my workout or not. I am not arguing of course, but for me that is not the trick. I get it though.
@@ilzegrina1424 I believe you! lucky you! 👍. You are obviously not diabetic-and if you keep up the sensible way you are eating, I don’t think you will ever have to worry about it! 😋🥇
As long as you eat. right? you will be ok and survive r on fasting. How do you keep from getting anxiety and jitters and headaches from this
I stumbled into this diet after my work schedule didnt allow me lunch. I have been doing it for one month now and i feel great. I even started cooking more and am saving money from fast food. I have lost weight and i hardly got any cramps from my period.
How many hours is your eating window?
Yes can you explain if you have a eating window
I was an obese teen. I did this in my early 20s because I was a college student who slept in til 11. and lost 70lbs in 6 months. My entire 20s, I didn’t eat breakfast and maintained. Fast forward to my 30s and 40s, I do breakfast, lunch, dinner, snack… and I gained. Did the 2 meals again and back to sustainable weight loss. It works.
What meals do you eat
That’s wonderful, I’m very happy for you!
Try them all and whatever works, go with it. But eating 6 small meals did not work for me. Cutting carbs below 80 grams per day worked. But if you pig out at a buffet, plan on not eating for at least 18 hours and better yet 24 hours. It takes a while to burn off 2700+ calories at a buffet.
Why is there so much misinformation in the media?!
On my 27th day of OMAD. From wearing size 12-14 clothes, now wearing 8-10. ❤❤❤This is a lifestyle for me now.
OMAD is not good in the long run your body will eventually adapt and lower your metabolic output, I have been on OMAD for a long period of time and hit the worst plateau, when I began eating 2 meals I immediately began losing weight again, its more about not sticking to one eating pattern for a long time especially if its way too restrictive like OMAD.
Genetically more meals is NOT what we ate like for millions of years, feast and famin is what our bodies know.
FAIL... sugar is the problem. Every 3 hours the urge to eat is not so much hunger...it's your addiction to sugar.
Francisco Fernandez sugar is not addictive, food is addictive
Fer Jimenez Sugar is more addictive than Cocaine...google it.
Really? Then why nobody buys sugar and eats it alone? That is the problem with googling stuff, you have to do a deeper research on neurotransmitters, and the physiology, (sometimes even psychology) of addiction
Fer Indies Bro, are you dumb 😭 processed sugar is in almost EVERY processed food
@@ferindies8606 lord sugar is in food which helps make it addicting
It is important to separate people the eat the standard American diet(high glycemic index) and people that eat a plant based diet(low glicemic index). Probably if someone eats foods with high glycemic index, it is better for that person to eat small meals more frequently in order to avoid huge spikes on insulin. But if someone eats foods with low glicemic index, then that person can sustain a normal insulin level by eating with less frequency.
Doing 2mad has helped me lose weight and helps me feel fool and not constantly thinking of eating.
Do you feel good and don't get anxious or feel strange I'm wandering so I know what to expect
He should break it down and say the more you eat the more insulin you trigger.
and?
But I'm hearing this from a guy with a double chin!

this works and is a fantastic REAL intermittent fasting diet....U fast usually 9 10 hours overnight eat breakfast go until dinner for meal 2...you get 2 fasts this way....really works
I'm thinking of doing this so what time would you eat breakfast and dinner at too lose the weight
@@sarahdoyle9031 dinner till 7:00 max. And breakfast before 9:00 or 10:00
So you eat breakfast and then wait to eat dinner no snacks
@@sarahdoyle9031 I do 10 am and 6 pm and portion my meals

This is talking about frequency of eating and not changing caloric intake. What I'm trying involves 4 meals and exercise (even just a minimal amount) before and after I eat. I'm not losing weight...yet (204 currently) but I'm looking and feeling better after only a week of this practice.
its one of the old indian way of eating...and it works and very simple...world copies india and says new studies...
It’s not just an Indian way of eating. People in ancient times ate two meals a day because of the scarcity of food. The Arabs, the hippocrats and many tribes used to eat 2 meals a day. They were healthier, stronger and disease free.
ya..like - Yoga is now "Power Yoga" or "Yin-yan Yoga" or eating clarified butter was ban but now its one of "good fat"
@@ifhamkhan9913 but the thing is India always been a fertile land. Shortage of food might be a problem of middle east and the Europe but not India. India saw shortage of food only during British occupation because they supplied all the food to their country causing virtual famines in India killing millions of people.
I do weight lifting and I eat 4 to 5 times per day. I'm losing a lot of fat because I'm building muscle and muscle burns fat.
Disagree. I crash when I eat too much in one sitting. When I split my meals into small amounts (mainly vegetables/fruit and meat) I have 5 times more energy. And having that energy makes me more motivated to go for a run, lift some weights. So effectively I stay in better shape having more energy than not. If I ate only two big meals my blood sugar would spike and I'd feel less like working out. When you say six small meals I think it makes a big difference WHAT you're eating.
Agreed. Struggled with energy for years. Then suddenly I realized I don't have energy dips after small meals
Yes this video is a scam. 2 Big meals? good for people who only sit all day.
Watch dr Jason fung
They guy really knows what he’s talking about 👍
The correct answer would be 'yes and no'. He said 'no' to the question in the very beginning, and that's kinda misleading
Another consideration is the size of our stomach. The stomach can stretch a LOT. If we are eating big meals, it seems the stomach doesn't get used to being smaller. I am trying to lose a bloated stomach. So I cut my meals back to small meals a few times a day. My stomach size is already going down. How this will help weight loss only time will tell, but it is nice to know that when I get hungry, I can eat something. Nothing predicts failure like low blood sugar and hunger. People get frustrated and angry if they can't eat when hungry.
did it work in the end?
In the American private sector, confusion and disorientation is a business. Don't trust them. Just experiment yon your own and teach your kids to teach their kids. It's time consuming but it's worked in countless civilisations
This is total nonsense. Eat 6 times a day like I do. I lost over 100 pounds. I eat protein at every meal along with fruits and other foods. Drink water as well.
Yes but they also had plenty of body fat.
Even animal don’t ear 6x a day
The only thing that counts is daily calorie total. You can eat when you want, for however long you want. But if your calories exceed what you need to lose you will gain. And that pertains to ANY way of dieting.
@@mmakahidaministry You don't know my cats.
@@thetruthbetold961 Nope if you eat much less frequently like OMAD your body will adapt and reduce your metabolic output which translates into you eating more "calories in" while you actually still eating the same "calories in" as before. Personally my sweet spot is 2 meals a day, 2 meals are enough to lower insulin and enough to keep your body out of severe metabolic adaptation.

White rice isn’t even bad for you. Brown rice is worse having arsenic. Just eat in MODERATION PEOPLE!
I saw this during researching
Whenever people fast between meals they tend to over eat. That is really what the doctor said. It has also been by experience. It is the overeating in a single session 2:55 that’s the problem. That feeling of food coma after a big meal is the feeling of massive insulin surge creating fat.
I only eat 2 times a day works out better for me and no I don't eat more I try to eat 4 eggs but can only eat 2 eggs but if I eat fish I eat 3 pieces in my salad... I love fish... So I eat a lot of fish...
