It's 1 year today since we filmed our first Rapp Snitches video that went viral. This song has done so much for us, so we wanted to give something back and hopefully help a few of you out there learn how to play it!
Listen to our version on Spotify: open.spotify.c...
All Notation/TAB available via dm or email!

i can finally hear the keyboard part properly lmao
Lmao
this is amazing, i can hear DOOM greeting us through the strings
big up Jonas, now channel him thru yours!
i can feel the DOOM coming inside of me
@@Charlotet_1411ayo?
???? the guitar parts are sampled by mfdoom from space oddity rendition by david matthews ….
One of my absolute favorite DOOM tracks of all time -- thank you lads for taking the time to break down the parts. I'm excited to have my band give it a try!
hell yeah, cook up!!
stfu who doesn’t know dis song
This video is THE gold standard for anyone attempting a music tutorial on youtube. I saw 4:55 length and could not believe you'd hit all the instruments with nothing left out. Incredible. You've got multiple camera shots synced up... you've got staff notation, you've got tab. You've got full speed and half speed... you detailed the EFFECTS! Amazing, especially after I just watched a video with someone being like "okay put your ring finger on the 16!" lol. Bravo on the production -- you are all fantastic musicians.
I think it's incredible what you've cooked up in a pedagogical sense. Short and straight to the point, making sure that all the elusiveness is stripped from the parts with no condescending attitude. Great job! And a great sound!
thank you! this means a lot :)
I am not a musician, but I watch every cover, tutorial, etc, of my favorite DOOM song, this was incredible
so you watch the tutorials, without intent on playing it?
@@toastgaming2584 you're allowed to do that bro
@@kriticalkayd i didnt say you couldnt
@@toastgaming2584 you did say that
@@estyjrr i actually asked a question, i did not say ya couldnt.
holy shit dont know if i've seen a tutorial like this before. so fucking sick especially for multi instrumentalists to see how each part comes together. please do more! subscribing
I never realised how sick the drums are on this track. I’m not surprised but it still feels like I learned something. Thank you!
1:42 bass part
I absolutely loved the bass! great job james ❤
I feel like this mostly speaks to the ability of 70s musicians to jam a good song. This is a sample of Space Oddity for the Dune soundtrack, and our favorite sample is a couple seconds of that track, that acts mostly as a fun add on to the song, meaning there wasn't too much thought put into this part, it was a good chord progression and everyone came in after and it worked well.
Make sure you're learning why these chords, rhythm and melodies work, there's reasons and you can apply them on the fly once you internalize them.
Bro doesn’t understand sampling lol tell that to madlib
@@verticalhairline let him cook in his own way. he might give us some useful wisdom
This is amazing
Oh my God! Listening the song instrument by instrument and then having them join altogether at the end feels like a revelation. You guys are awesome!
I found a 10 year old unanswered reddit post, asking for "some talented" guitarist to figure out the tabs. Well I guess someone's finally gone and done it! Thanks so much
Welcome!! 🤓
I play the bass guitar and drums and this is super helpful to find both tutorials for a song in one place rather than searching for different videos for each instrument. Thanks!!
Fantastic chord progression
This is seriously sick i am starting a band in sixth form atm and this really helps so everyone can learn form the same video, keep it up love the work! p.s. pls make one for one beer xx
More more more! Love learning the drum beats like this with the whole context
You guys nailed every freakin detail! Awesome!
i don't even have a band and this is one of the most entertaining tutorials ever HAHAHA keep it up!
Amazing guys! thanks for doing this.
This channel needs more attention 🔥
Great tutorial in every way, straight to the point and very insightful. Only bad thing from it is that I am blue balling myself by not listening to the rap part 😂
hahaha
This was just perfect! Everything was explained in such a detail that everyone can follow it. Thanks so much for this video. Greatest track of MF DOOM!!!
This has nothing to do with playing but I find bands who have a lefty guitarist/bassist to be so cool
Amazing cover and even amazinger tutorial guys.
Oh my god this is amazing. THANK YOU!
Been listening to that cover you lot did for about a year, guitarist ripped it here especially; so clean
Big up! Thanks man
Fantastic stuff. Cheers for posting
Incredible drummer
Do You see the perpretator?
Yeah I’m right here
THIS IS SO WELL DONE???
This was so fun to watch! Thanks for putting this together
I have to admit I've been so focused on everything else I have never heard the keyboard... not even in the original MF version. Lol
They're mixed into our full version but I feel like before you hear it isolated it's real hard to pick it out. You have to almost hear it on it's own to reverse engineer it in your brain when you go back to our full version. It was always meant to be subtle though - Corben, our keys player, is the one who mixed it after all...hah!
@OMA Band subtle for sure. If I'm gonna pick apart music, I look at the police - every little thing she does is magic. It had always been one of my fave tracks of all time and there's SO much going on in it, why I love it so much.
@@tbok75 Police are quality.
beautiful
the bass is AMAZING
Super cool to see this video guys, i remember when i found the first short on this channel on Rap snaches like an hour it was posted and beening blown away by MF DOOM music and how you guys played it, i even missed the all caps memo on my comment on that short and now its the top comment on it with his name not in all caps lol i just updated it to but, keep up the good work✊️
Awesome rendition of the song and a really helpful tutorial!
I am not in a band but this makes me happy 🥹
Man you guys sound SO Good! We need a 3 min loop Please!
our full cover is available on all streaming platforms (and youtube) !!
That shh was Beautiful
DOOM is a huge inspiration and this is a GOLD MINE! Thanks for sharing fellas
You deserve waaaaay more recognition! Great job
So cool!!! Many thanks for the complete breakdown
This is a very big unoccupied niche on youtube. Yoy guys are the only ones I have seen to make full band tutorials. Please do more!
So happy to see this kind of video! Thank you!! Please do more!

Love u guys ❤

side note, who got the hands? lol (OMA symbol...what u write foo?)
Tutor🎉
this is such an awesome video format
Genius work right there
This is so good
Thank you
welcome!
i would really want to know how to play that extra lick you did 1:32 on the guitar in the official rapp snitch knishes instrumental vid
try slowing it down and trying to pick it up by ear. I'm just replacing the two pre-bends that are normally there with a lick I heard Mark Speer play. It's basically a little mordent (I think it's called in classical terms), where I'm bending up to a higher note, returning to normal, pulling off on a lower note, and then there's another note after that's lower as well. Then it picks right back up to the standard melody - it runs into it seamlessly if you get the timing right.
This is awesome! please more of these :)
Great Video! I love how simple and effective the layout of this is. I don't want to be pedantic, but I just wanted to add that the first B minor chord is in root position and is not inverted. Additionally the F#m chord is in Second Inversion not 3rd since the 5th scale degree is in the bass.
That was heavy. The break down.. no words
TAKE EM TO COURT THEY BE THEIR OWN STAR WITNESS
holy shit that bass work up
Fantastic lads,please do crosshairs.
Love
Shout out Harry Mack! Of course Y'all too. Killing it!
I love it
God those drums sound good
Thank you sooooooo much i lov u guys
baseline sounds straight out from theme hospital game lol
THANK YOU SO MUCH 😭🙏🏽
welcome!
Great job gents!
No toco ningún instrumento, pero es demasiado interesante para mi ver estos videos, y la música de estos chicos me gustan
I like how the standard notation for the guitar is cropped out because who's reading it anyway.
Let’s be real here
Ya’ll killed this! Respect.
that was brilliant
Oh i love this
The slowed down version sounds groovy as all hell
I notice the guitar player is left handed
i love that snareeeeee
Love this
Would love to see a version of this for datura stramonium/poo put platter one of my favorite instrumentals
Goated choice
this is sick!!
Thanks boys, it slaps.
God bless you guysss❤
really really good
wait wouldn’t the ghost notes be diddles on the drums? sick ass cover tho 🔥
Ahuevo pinche rolota I wish they would make more songs like this
amazing!!
That was fine for me
❤❤❤❤❤❤❤
Pls make more tutorials
we really want to!
❤
What are the settings on the guitar gear?
very cool
Any chance of books of war in the future? RZA / Doom, best of both worlds!
Anybody have photos of Chris's pedalboard or know exactly what's on it?
Really good
Nice, I like it
The F# on the keyboard sounds off when the piano plays on his own but sounds right combined. Strange world we live in :/
that was fine for him
learning the drums might be the hard to master, but at least reading drum sheet music is easy 😂
