As an Indian and fellow human being, I share my sincere condolences to the families that lost their loved ones on that tragic day. I believe that the administration of Pakistani civil aviation should be overhauled after this rather avoidable incident. Those souls onboard PIA doomed aircraft deserved better. Crew resource management has always been a issue in Asia and our cultural nuances should be taken into account while framing of the guidelines. We need to make aviation guidelines incorporating our cultural nuances. Sorry for you loss. 🇮🇳🫂🇵🇰

This is not a miracle; this is called physics. He must have been sitting or standing in a position that was perfect for his survival by balancing forces, . If other people were in his place, they would have survived too. I dont know why our nation is too obsessed with superstitions and delusional beliefs. i still live in kazimabad. at the time of crash it felt like an earthquake but then humne realize kiya ke jahaz gira hai. we were so lucky to be alive while living this close to the location. that eid was very sad for our entire neighbourhood. hum saare ro rahe the.

I've seen the final report and flight data recorder it confirms it was a 100% captain's fault, his arrogance led him to this disaster. Even though the ATC strictly ordered him to abandon the landing and go around you are way above the landing trajectory, he lied to the ATC he told the first officer to tell the ATC that they are comfortable and they are going to land on runway 25L. His arrogance took the lives of 96 innocent people. It just shocks me whenever I hear this story again or read it again. May Allah Forgive All Of Them! Ameen

First officer was the pilot flying. There are two very good international documentaries now on youtube regarding this. Both of the pilots didn't follow any protocol and were responsible.
It is the captain’s fault but what about PIA guidelines allowing pilots to operate flights while fasting?

Eye witness of the whole crash scene, Just leaving for Jummah prayer saw that plane just some feets away from me, I started following the plane and suddenly the plane crashed next street. I still remember that day of Ramadan. 😢

Pilot was declared psychologically unfit by PIA's medical board; however, he was able to get physiological clearance from another body after winning a case in court against PIA. Pilot's arrogance and sheer negligence led to this horrible disaster which was completely avoidable.
He was fit and fine. He was fasting and that's why his blood pressure went down.
And now it's not allowed to fast during a flight.

This was purely the arrogance and unprofessional behavior of the main pilot, even the second one was not at fault, just one man or the system that gave him this power.
You didn't mention the one person who lost his entire family beautiful little kids and a wife. He himself faught really well and exposed the whole system. Forgot that legend name and a brave man.

I followed this case very closely. The first pilot was declared unfit to fly by a PIA psychiatrist. He then obtained five psychiatric reports (three from the UK and two from Pakistan) to prove he was fit to fly. PIA later changed the rule to only accept their psychiatrist's evaluations, but by then he had already won his case and resumed flying.
On their approach to Karachi, the pilots were discussing COVID and forgot to descend for landing, resulting in an aggressive nose-down maneuver, despite Karachi air control repeatedly suggesting a go-around and asking if they were comfortable with the approach. This caused multiple warnings to go off in the cockpit. Amidst the confusion, the co-pilot accidentally retracted the landing gear when he was asked to turn off the warnings by the first pilot. All of this could've been avoided if they had continued the landing, allowing the engines to absorb most of the impact, but they panicked upon realizing the landing gear was retracted and attempted to take off again.
It was caused by the pilots' lack of attention to the approach and their non-standard aggressive nose-down maneuver, leading to a series of protocol breaches. How this could've happened is beyond everyone's understanding in the avionics industry.

one of our relative was on the flight. My chachi's cousin who was returning after a veryyy long time to get married. His father had booked him a plane ticket as a surprise. His father identified his body due to the taweez he was wearing on his arm that he himself had given to his son. The taweez was intact and it had the same surah written on it.

Just watched now Mentour Pilot on this crash. So crazy how captain ignored all warnings from aircraft! He thought he was driving a gadha gaari not an aircraft. I feel so sad for victim families how they have to live with this unbearable pain for the rest of their lives that some incompetent idiot took so many lives bec of his utter stupidity and sheer arrogance! Complete disregard of procedures and responsibilities!!!!

I have seen the video on this, according to the voices recovered the altitude the pilot was shown was safer than the actual altitude there was an error in the system but after some time they got all types of warnings as well, I think the pilot got panic so he could not retract the wheels before (as the plane got belly landing)

There are other UA-cam channels that have covered the technicalities of this crash. Mentour Pilot did a very good video detailing the cause of the crash, if you wanna follow it. I'm glad Junaid took up and showed the human side of it, as well as the interviews of the families whose loved ones passed away.

In the 80's 2 of my cousins and 1 of my brother-in-law were pilots and I have travelled in the cockpit with them. The stories they discussed with their co pilots/captains were so scary and I know the reasons why Pakistani Airlines plane crashes.
PIA has comparatively less aircraft incidents compared to Quantas, Air Arabia, and Air France. Pakistan hasn't had too many aircraft incidents which is why only 8 or 9 feel like 80 and 90.
@@hiimibrahimshaiekh I understand but Qantas has aprox 350 Aircrafts with 780 daily flights and 0 fatal accidents. PIA has 30 Aircrafts with 50 daily flights and 10-11 fatal accidents. You do the math.

مجھے یاد ہے کچھ اوازیں جو کبھی نہیں بھول سکتی پہلی نشتر پارک دھماکے کی کیونکہ ایک فیملی کے ہاں 12 ربیع الاول کو گئے تھے دوسری بے نظیر کے کراچی والے دھماکے کی جو 18 تاریخ کو ہوا تھا تیسری اس پلین کی کہ ملیر میں ہی اک انتقال میں آئے ہوئے تھے اور چوتھی میرے بچپن کی جب 90 کا اپریشن تھا اور رینجرز کی بکتر بند ہمارے علاقے میں ائی تھی اور وہ کمبے سے ٹکڑا گئی تھی تب میں بہت چھوٹی تھی اور وہ بہت بہت بری تھی آواز ۔🥺 یہ ایک بہت برا حادثہ تھا کس کی غفلت تھی یہ سوال ابھی بھی باقی ہے پر بات ساری یہ ہے کہ جتنے حادثے ہوتے ہیں تحقیقات کے نام پہ عوام کو بے وقوف بنایا جاتا ہے نتیجہ کچھ نہیں نکلتا اگر نتیجہ نکلنا ہوتا تو ایئر بلو کی فلائٹ جس میں ہم نے اپنے بہت پیارے فیملی ممبر کو کھویا تھا اس کا کوئی نتیجہ نکلتا نتیجہ نکلنا ہوتا تو سانحہِ اے پی ایس کا نکلتا
