22:50 xD I'd be soooo mad..all because of some damage to the front left. Hahaha the ending - it reminds me of a video you did that was 15 seconds long. Rolling start and before the race even begins someone already hits you from behind.. good times.
Hey Matt can you please race at my home dirt track on iracing its the Lucas oil Speedway and can you race in the Late Model, thanks. P.S. high line is the right line there
GTs or touring cars at Brands is one of the happiest combos in all of motorsport, never gets old to drive or to watch. Glad to see you back at it, Sir Boxington
Hey Empty Box, What's up man! I'm so glad you're back on UA-cam, I've really missed your videos. Your style is so unique and I love your input on iRacing. I can't wait to see what new videos you're going to post, welcome back! Cheers, Andrew Simmonds
Literally the car that got me into iRacing ten years ago, in a sense. You were doing a McLaren review before Christmas 2012, IIRC, and I watched that and thought, "I should check out that iRacing thing!"
"I love it, I love it, I love it! It's grrreat! I love the way you say that at the end of the carnage report. Made me laugh! Good to see you, or hear you! :)
Brands, Oulton both are like mini Nordschleifes. I'd love to see somebody make a mod track that's a combination of the two, so you could have the true tea drinking green hell experience
You are such a wealth of knowledge. I love watching your videos even if you do laps around a circuit. What are the benefits of dragging the brakes plus fluctuating the acceleration under breaking? ........ can this technique be applied everywhere?
Dragging the brakes, also known as "trail braking", is done to improve turn in. (Transfers weight towards the front of the car). I'm not sure what you mean by "fluctuating the acceleration", the only thing I can see that fits that description is the auto-blip on downshifts, which the car does automatically, as the name implies. This is done to prevent the driving wheels locking up. (The same as doing "heel and toe" with a manual gearbox). But maybe you meant something else? Anyway, these are indeed techniques that can be, and are, commonly applied in racing.
Matt take a look at your inputs. During trail-braking you are overlapping brake and throttle quiet a lot. Havent driven the Macca for some time but it should understeer during midcorner when you do this.
Bring a former sim racing steward, I couldn't help myself and look at the lap 5 overtake again: well, there was no yellow flag, so I guess it was all fair 😂
Could you do an overview of the worthwhile series in current iRacing for your longtime viewers? Since you're making content I wanna get back in but I don't know what the ecosystem is like anymore.
Ferrari. It's eligible for participation in a few different series and there is a rookie Ferrari GT3 series. But it's exactly like it sounds, rookies crashing everywhere.
@@geoffsharp9611 okay, those are what I’ll go with them, thanks! The lambo gt3 cars sound so amazing in person and are by far the loudest and I’m an Audi and Volkswagen guy so that makes it easy lol

Love seeing this pop up in my feed again, was not prepared for the bonus at the end. Holy buckets.
Yes! Empty Box!
To all who like Empty Box please drop a like on his video ! My favorite SimRacer on youtube by far. Thanks Empty Box !! :)
The OG SimRacing UA-camr is back. This gives me hope for 2023!!!
Thanks Matt! Even when the races are not eventful i enjoy listening to them. Audio mix is perfect and not too shouty like the others
This was how I got into EB - I started listening to it like a podcast lmao. Audio balance is amazing
It's nice having you back.
Great to have you back.

A GT3 race is that old car that you love, not in spite of its many faults, but because of them.
"I love it, I love it, I love it! It's grrreat! I love the way you say that at the end of the carnage report. Made me laugh! Good to see you, or hear you! :)
Honestly kind of wish we could still choose the Z4 GT3.... Glad you're back.
I race open wheel now but I’d go back to gt3 for the z4
Great classic Empty Box video, was missin' these, love the crash highlights at the end too.
The return of the king
Been hoping for the comeback. This video did not disappoint. Now we just need the collab between him, Jimmy, Jardier, and SuperGT.
No thanks, leave the screamy shouty YT dudes to play among themselves
@@dariuskromoser8936 This.
Unless I'm mistaken, Jimmy and Empty Box already did some videos together
There’s an old Jimmy video of C-class trucks where Empty Box is the spotter
Or maybe not, emtybox is in class of his own, there is no need to mess him up with this clowns...
I love Brands Hatch. It kind of reminds me of a baby Nordschleife.
Some of the sequences remind me of Road Atlanta and Road America as well.
Something about short race tracks with elevation changes. (laguna seca, bathurst)

Always nice to see someone racing in vintage machinery
Yay! Empty box content
Love the bravery taking the McLaren at Brands. Too many opportunities for it to show it’s allergy of kerbs for my liking.
Came for the content, stayed for the personality!
just glad you are making vids again !

@@zerofox975 Watch the input layout GUI on the video when he enters and exists corners.. and what he said about accelerating and braking.

The channel will be three decades old and iracing gt3 still gonna be gt3’ing
AS someone who also lived in a time when "Crackalakin" was also used, I tried VR racing recently and that shit is the future 😲
the double overtake was legit. No yellow flag ever displayed so the race was back under green before you approached them
Three unsuccessful starts...? I mean, GT3 gonna GT3, but that's absurd....
Oh boy, welcome back!
Lap 23: 1:23.599
Lap 24: 1:23.600
That's the sort of consistency I dream of!
I love brands hatch plus GT3 is always a laugh
glad you're back
Thanks for uploading
50 years iRacing has been around, and still the exact same crap with the warmup lap wrecks sigh ayayay
23:18 - Art.
I like how the carnage report was all audis 😂
Brave man to choose the Macca on this track! It's exceptionally good in hard braking zones which is not really applicable here.
I'm still in the Ford GT3 :)
Talk about ancient
15:53 its also not much fun for whatever the train wrecks into ;)
What’s going on guys this is . . OH MY LORD!
XD. Great vintage on that. :p

Looks like I missed when the switch back to non-VR racing happened. Any reason in particular?
I'm glad you're in a better place now and able to enjoy your hobbies again. No VR these days?
Ditched VR, there is a video about a year or two ago on that topic on my channel : fortunately you won't need to scroll too far to find it. lol
I wish iRacing had the 720S GT3.

brother, come to the 992 rf2 LFM. never look back :D
I don't know... CMSRacing on rF2... WSC 98 and LMDH... no carnage.
Classic🤘🏼🏁
Time for some GT3ing🔥
MP4-12C > 12C > 650S > 720S. Lotsa cars in just 10 years
GT3 GONNA GT3!
my crackers are a-lackin, sorry for the bad news EB
Hey!, there's someone with one of my Mantis paints fr Trading Paints.... kapnk006!
Great surname 😉 it's not American though or Scottish, although if you check history it comes back around Rob Roy Mcgregor times
If one was to eventually get into gt3 on iracing, which would be the best car to buy?
