Been playing Yugioh MD for the last 2 month's, never played Yugioh in my life. I started off simple with DM and slowly went from there, fusions, synchro, links, xyz & now I'm finally trying to learn Pendulum!!!!!!

Endymions and DDD are probably the strongest pendulum decks in the game currently. If you’re looking to not think that hard, DDD’s can work only because you just need to memorize a specific combo (otherwise, they’re extremely confusing). Endymions is more of a sandbox deck in the sense that you can build your extra deck any way you want and be able to go for almost anything you put into it if they’re generic.
On top of that, they don’t need their extra deck, their graveyard, and rarely even their monster zones (at first). Because of this, they are an unconventional deck that dodges mainstream disruptions. There is a lot of graveyard hate such as Necrovalley, Dimension Fusion, Ishizu Shufflers, etc. that Endymions don’t care about at all. Scythe Locks and Domain Locks don’t matter to Endymions either if your opponent sacrifices their entire turn to try and Scythe Lock you. Also there are tons of monster negates and monster removal in the deck such as Apollo, Mirrorjade, and basically every Kashtira main deck monster (they trigger after you activate a monster effect) and Endymions can play with just their backrow until they’re ready. The first Endymion video on this channel is about Endymions getting locked out of monster effects with Calamities and still pulling out the win. It’s a very good deck to pick up.
The only hand traps they struggle against are Maxx C and Droll and Lock Bird, and do also watch out for Shang locking your pendulum scales. If this happens, you’ll need to run Book of Eclipse to help out. If you go against, Exosisters, it’s the fastest game in the world because all you need to do is click the surrender button. EZ.

Awesome video both of y’all! After looking at shadow’s deck, I’ve decided to add books of moon to my deck to help me get over troublesome monsters. Works really great most of the time against tears/kash

Book of Moon is definitely a good card but one that might work better would be Book of Eclipse. It sets everything face down instead of just one card. The only downside is that it can be negated by Ash but that just means you’re baiting out a disruption that could’ve been used on Mastery or Cerberus. The other downside is that it also sets your field facedown but if you use it going second, it works just fine. I’ve also used it to flip my jackal king facedown when he was about to be Imperm’ed.

Same i saw your guys vid about a year ago too, always mixing it up with new cards and different combos it's highly underrated.
I'm using a couple kashtira cards - birth, fenrir, unicorn, tearlaments and shangri, being lvl 7 cards its quite handy to have with endymion and my extra deck lvl 7 cards as a little side hustle against the other metas. Im bad at explaining it but it works really well im nearly qualified for the duelist cup 2nd stage

Hey, Rick! I’m really pleased to hear that my deck was one of your first picks. It sounds like I’ve made somewhat of an impression!
I’ll be honest with you though. I don’t really watch Triff. I’ve only seen him on other people’s channels such as Ruggles, TeamSamurai’s and even MilanoTheDuelist’s channels but I don’t actually watch him (even though he seems like an exceptionally wholesome dude). Because of this, I don’t really know his play style and, even if I wanted to, I wouldn’t be able to really make any solid judgment calls on who would take a best of 3.
Having said that, I don’t really like to compare myself to other duelists. I feel like everyone always has a solid chance of winning a game, especially with how starting hands might be dealt (whether they give one duelist the best hand and the other duelist a hand that can’t compete whatsoever). And even with that aspect, I don’t really like calling myself a better duelist than any other, which would also fall under the category of saying that I’d win a best of three against someone else. I hope this answered your question, and if you’re really curious, we’d have to see firsthand by getting Triff to actually duel me.
@@shadowspector3611 it did u have a very well thought out response and honestly it’s a similar view point to what ur saying I’ve always helped my buds make decks and helping them think but they do rely on me too much my favorite times are seeing them advancing themselves with out my input that’s the best thing a teacher can do
@@rickstuart6936: I completely agree. There have been a handful of people who’ve asked for personal tutoring on the deck and it typically starts with me letting them know my own lines of how I’d maneuver the cards to get 6 negates. But soon after, it becomes me being silent and letting them try and make their own boards on their own because that feeling of having a strong endboard that you’ve put together yourself (rather than following a recycled Auroradon combo 👀) is just an amazing feeling. And it always warms my heart to see them enjoying the deck too and then not finding it too intimidating to pilot anymore. ^_^

I’m more surprised that you’re not shocked that I’m not using Astrograph. One of my friends said it plainly though: Endymions is more of a spell deck with pendulums in it, so it does make sense to me that Beyond wouldn’t be as used as she would in some other decks.
@@shadowspector3611 I agree with you completely. After reading BTP's effect more carefully I saw how it did not fit in the deck very well. She just seems to be thrown into every other pendulum deck. Tbh, I didn't even notice Blue Boy Sorc wasn't in the deck until I finished building it. I decided to throw him in as it seems his effect triggers off of almost anything you do. I've always been interested in Endymion but the skill required to pilot it intimidated me.
@@FOOLK1LLAH: Yeah, using the deck can be very stressful, but the way I was able to learn was to just throw the cards around on screen until I familiarized myself with every effect. Then it just turned into me trying to use any effect that could get jackal king or Endymion out of my deck. When you prioritize those cards and the effects to get those cards, the deck becomes a lot easier to use.

Hahahah. It’s definitely a good card to ash. A lot of people don’t know endymions well. Shadow just has incredible luck as well
I will admit there is some luck but it’s a card game; everything depends on luck. There are always times where I actively play around deadly handtraps. Cerberus getting Ash’ed is definitely a liability but I don’t risk the Ash unless there isn’t any other options. Lots of times, I get Servant with either Mastery or Bestiary so if Cerberus gets Ash’ed, I can still follow up with Servant’s effect to link into Electrumite and use her to pop Cerberus and free up that scale (Bashilisk can also remove Cerberus from the scale). Other times, I use other cards such as Mastery or Desires which is excellent Ash bait before revealing that you have Cerberus. Or if you have Institution/jackal, you can usually summon Jackal King before the Ash can trigger. You always gotta assess your hand and think about whatever handtraps will hurt you so you play your hand in a way that can play through everything.

I wouldn’t really be interested in Dracoslayers. To be honest, I mostly like spellcaster decks and the spell counter mechanic was the first kind of deck I ever used. I also have tons of gems because I don’t try other decks, so I don’t think Dracoslayers would really pique my interest.

@@suyashmanjrekar4663: Have definitely been thinking about it. Also double Jackal and Cerberus can theoretically also make it but that’s a lot harder to do lol. But as I said before, the extra deck is optional so it doesn’t hurt to put Chaos Angel in (unless you go against Nurse Burn and they use the trap to compare synchros in the extra deck).
i never saw you using artemis in the videos (at least all the times i saw your videos), i'm guessing she is very situational and i can use other thing instead, the same happens with linkuriboh... am i right??
Let me tell shadow.
So Artemis was in the extra deck back when the Spellbook engine was frequently used. She is still in the extra deck in the case that I need to go into Avramax. Sometimes there are scenarios where I have a link two out and I resolve Magister to summon one more extra deck monster but I’d only have 3 extra deck monsters at this time. So with this, I’d be able to link Magister into Artemis so I’d have four extra deck monsters for Avramax to be able to be summoned. Artemis is a very flexible spot in the extra deck in case you want to run anything. She’s situational but every card besides Electrumite is situational for the Endymion extra deck since the main deck cannot afford any situational cards for the risk of bricking.
Linkuriboh is not an extra spot though. He has saved me tons of times in master duel and even more times in real life. One of the best starters in the deck besides Servant is Jackal since he can summon my monster negate and also be recycled three more times for a total of four jackal-effect activations. However, if I normal summon Jackal and he’s hit with Imperm or Effect Veiler, he’s not a sitting duck on the field until I can figure out how to do something with him. And it can potentially be hard to get a second pendulum monster out for Electrumite. That’s where Linkuriboh shines the best. If Jackal gets his effects negated, that’s when I link him off into Linkuriboh. Now with Jackal in the extra deck, I can summon him back with Jackal King’s or Magister’s scale effect (or I can shuffle him into the deck for a draw with Bashilisk). Linkuriboh allows me to remove Jackal from the field so I can continue my turn.
Another thing Linkuriboh helps me do would be if I end up getting a bad hand, I can utilizing Jackal and Magister to go for Electrumite. There have been times where I’ve had Magister in the opening hand and it’s been somewhat not as good of a starter as I would’ve hoped, and I activate Magister and another scale and remove a counter from him with Institution to search jackal. With Jackal on the field, magister is at two counters and one more counter gets magister to three and jackal to one. I link Jackal off into Linkuriboh and then activate Magister to summon back Jackal for my second pendulum. Here, I can go for Electrumite in the main monster zone to fix my scales for a pendulum summon. And to free up more link arrows for more pendulums, I link off Electrumite and Linkuriboh for Dharc so I have two zones (if there was a link 1 spell caster that pointed downwards, I’d use it for Selene later on). Linkuriboh has allowed me to have more flexibility on my turns and allowed me to fix any potentially bad hands for improved consistency.
If you want a card you can cut (besides Artemis), you can cut Supreme King Starving Venom. I replaced him with another Selene since I’ve never went into him, and I’m thinking of replacing that with Chaos Angel since Garuda/Bashilisk and Jackal King summon her in dire circumstances. I also haven’t summoned Unicorn enough times to warrant its spot in the deck but Unicorn is also for dire circumstances so I keep it in just in case. The rest of the cards that haven’t been mentioned have done a great deal for me as well.

i didn't know Linkuriboh was that useful, in case i don't have UR points to craft it, can i use link spider instead? if i'm not wrong i can use it in the same way since it only requires 1 normal monster and it has the arrow link poniting down (it doesn't have the effect of reducing attack to 0 tho)
