Hi 👋, Phil from Phil, I hope you are keeping safe and well, That was very Appealing 😂, another piece of beautiful art, good luck with the Auction, Phil from the moulin.
Pretty! Who ever gets it is a lucky person. I see a hawk head in it. Just a short note. Wanted to let you know I’m here. See you next video. Hugs to you! 💫 Roma 🌲💚🌳 🦅
Thank you, Phil, for showing us all the beauty in a pruning off-cut! Well, not pruning, exactly. My bro-in-law had to make room for his new shop, so several yard trees had to be removed and he gave me what I wanted. Now, thanks to your video, I have a much better idea how to turn the other piece like it. Excellent turning and a gorgeous bowl!
Thanks again Dave, really appreciate you giving these guys the ammo! You say you keep some of the best bits for yourself? Id love to see some of the stuff you make too!
@@PBUCKY1969 I've tried multiple times to do videos and found that being in front of the camera is horribly distracting. When my concentration is divided the project fails, every time.

Good evening, Phil. You get my attention when you said, Apple. I love Apple wood but all too often it cracks. Much nicer when it does not. Great bowl and a wonderful donation. Thanks for the video.
I have found that Apple wood is either punky OR hard as a rock. There seems to be no happy medium. BUT , when its good , its good. You do amazing work Phil. I am always watching and always learning and I am so thankful for you being here.

Wow oh wow I like I like it that is a stunning piece of apple makes me wish I was healthy and able to stand on my feet in front of my Laith great little fruit bowl Phill Blessings can't wait to see what you have for us next week
That bowl has a lot of character going for it, and the shape is perfect. Very nice Phil, it was a fun one to watch! The wood really took a beautiful finish. Take care. Rick
I love the weird ones the best, and this one had a lot going on in it. You are sure right about apple, it can have all of the good stuff inside, or nothing much at all. I knew it was hard when I saw all the dust coming off it. Good one, Phil!
Thank You Phil, Thank You Dave from Calmwood Creations.... Apple wood turning in the Apple season...Another very enjoyable turning today . I like all of differentness of the contrusions 😅... Looks like very hard wood... I see a demon on the inside with a long black tongue with that crack.. Until next time TM
Beautiful!... made me think of when I was young, climbing the apple tree in my best friends back yard... Thanx for the memories Phil. Blessings to you for donating it to the cause... You rock good sir! ✌️😎👍
Another beautiful job, Phil. The thing about apple is that it will surprise you within itself. There's always a prize awaiting. And you always find that prize. Thanks
This bowl has a unique shape. Live edge is always a favorite. Who ever wins the bid on this piece will have a nice bowl to display. Kind of you to donate to the school. Thanks for the show. Joel
I look forward to Fridays here in the UK as another episode in the turning life of Phil Anderson will drop on my virtual doormat. What can I say, another piece of embellished nature.
Once again, a wonderful result. So many of your videos (but, I’ll admit, not all - everyone’s tastes differ after all) I’ve turned to my wife and said “I could give that house room” - I don’t need to say it any more, she just takes it as read. That piece makes me wish I lived down the road from you so I could bid on it, but I’m several thousand miles down the road in England, so I’ll have to be content with watching the transformation and seeing the resulting beauty that Nature and you have wrought together.
🙋♂️🏴 Hi Phil a really fantastic bowl l love the shape / grain and the inclusions. And it's a brilliant gesture donating it to your local school.
That has all the things needed to meet the Wow Factor Phil! Makes up for any Apple that lacked any color for sure. Great looking donation piece as well. Great looking piece my friend, Gary
It's a bowl when it's spinning, a work of art when it stops. It should bring a good amount for the fundraiser. Beautiful! Thank you, Phil and Dave, for your generosity. 😊

Smashing piece Phil, lovely wood. I've a large piece of Apple with so many lumps and twisty lovely bits I just don't know where to start with it. I pop it my bench from time to time and look and dream and revel in it. And then put it away again still none the wiser on where to cut. First world problems for a woodturner I know . I also wanted to say Thank you Phil, I've learnt lots from watching you,. For example if I'm not using tailstock support I'll still often bring it and a live centre to the piece to create a registration mark to enable accurate centering if any problems arrive later. This has saved me on multiple occasions and you get the credit every time. Keep up the good work Phil :)
Well the figure in that bowl alone was worth the effort! You also ended up with a beautiful shape to boot!! Nice one 😊. I have an old pear tree that has to come down next spring. It never grew very big, but I’m hoping I can get a few turnings from it. Very nice that you’re donating that bowl. We have a fundraiser coming up that I’ve been asked to donate something for a silent auction. Cheers, Rick
Fell that pear tree in the winter when the moisture content is lowest! Pear cracks a lot as it seasons if it's full of moisture, as it will be in the spring and summer.

He is Sicilian and made a very large pizza oven in the corner of a large indoor room with a nice view of his back yard. Three of us neighbor's have been helping him build over the past year. I had done some trimming last summer on his neglected apple tree, hence some thick, 14" straight logs, which I slabbed and air dried. This summer I thought my thickness planner was getting dull but it was just the extra hard wood. I was going to make myself a box, but really don't want to ever work with apple wood again. It is beautiful, so I think I just need to forget about the labor before attempting another apple baby. LOL
