Ingredients:
Bombay rava 2 cups
Nylon Sabudana 1 cup
Curd approximately 3 cups
Water 1/2 cup
Chopped coriander 1 cup
Salt
Sugar 1 tsp
Eno fruit salt 1.5 tb sp or cooking soda 1/2 tsp
For tempering:
Oil 1/4 the cup
Mustard seeds 2 tsp
Urad dal 2 tsp
Minced ginger, chilli,curry leaves 1 tb sp each
hing a pinch
Method :
Step 1.Soak Sabudana for minimum 4 hrs.
Step 2.place a kadai on stove,add oil once heated add seasoning ingredients ,let it splutter .switch off the flame add rava mix well and let it cool completely.
Step3 :once it’s cooled add soaked Sabudana,salt,sugar and coriander. Use plenty of coriander it enhances rava idly taste.also add curd and prepare thick batter as shown in video.Mix properly. add some more curd and water if needed.meanwhile place steamer on stove ,add water and let it come to boil. Brush idly plates with oil and keep ready. Finally add eno salt or cooking soda ,gently fold the batter. Rest for a minute and you notice a lot of bubbles,Immediately transfer to idly plates, and place inside the steamer. Steam cook for 10-12 minutes. Wait for at least 5 minutes before taking out idlys. Soft and fluffy sabbakki rava idlys are ready to serve.
Potato sagu: ingredients
Boiled potatoes 5-6
chopped onion 1.5 cups
slit green chilli 3
Sugar 1 tsp
curry leaves a few
turmeric
salt as needed
Besan 2 tb spoon
ingredients for seasoning
oil 2 tb sp
mustard 1tsp
urad dal 1tsp
hing a pinch
method: pressure cook potato for 3 whistles and keep aside.
in a kadai add oil and start with seasoning. after adding mustard,urad dal,hing add curry leaves, green chilli and turmeric . fry for a few minutes then add chopped onion. add salt ,sugar and cook for 2-3 minutes. once onion is soft add 2 cups water and let it boil.add some water to besan and make a thin paste , add this to onion mix and bring to boil. Now add mashed potato and mix well.adjust salt and water. Potato sagu is ready .
Ingredients for red chutney:
shredded coconut 1 cup
Fried gram 1/2 cup
green chilli 3-4
Red chilli 2-3
ginger a small piece
Garlic cloves 4-5
A small piece of Tamarind piece
salt as needed.
for seasoning:
oil 1 tsp
mustard 1tsp
currly leaves a few
hing a pinch
grind all the ingredients together with water ,to the chutney add some more water and make little watery.finally add seasoning.

Yes you can
After putting curd is it necessary to put soda or eno, which makes any items soft. 😄😄
