    Hi Spencer, thanks for taking the time to make the video. I went through the process for the Hungarian Digital Nomad Visa (White Card) and it sounds like the Croatian one is a lot more complex- the Hungarian one was fairly straight forward. Once you have signed up to a 12 month rental agreement, how do you get it notarised over there? Thanks!

      Hi Rob, my pleasure! Indeed it’s a bit of a wild goose chase at times sadly… but worth it!
      The notarisation happened at the notaries. My landlord and estate agent all went to a notaries office and signed the rental contracts there. This occurred without me having to explicitly ask for it so I’m not sure if it’s standard practice or not.

      @@spenot09 Great thank you for the reply. If this is standard process it makes things a lot simpler! Btw do you have any advice on any recommendations for local websites to find apartments?

      @@Rob-nt9mp Yep I definitely recommend www.njuskalo.hr/ - it's essentially a Croatian classifieds site. Most estate agents will have places on their own sites but then also upload to Njuskalo, so you get a much better overview (just make sure you have google translation switched on!)

    Hi @spenot09,
    I have a question. Everytime you move from one place to another say from Split to Zagreb, do you need get a new residence permit. If yes, how cumbersome it is. I m planning to stay in Split for only a month and then move to Zagreb, as I heard that the processing time in Split is faster compared to Zagreb. Please reply

      Hi! Yep you will receive a temporary residency card which will have to be updated, but this won't be too difficult to do (certainly much simpler than getting the card in the first place!)

    Quick question about your video ... does one need a rental contract for an entire year to get Croatian permit? Or can one have a short contract (Air BnB) followed by an intent to travel around Croatia?

    • @spenot09
      @spenot09  4 місяці тому

      Heya, yep you need a rental contract for your entire period of stay.

    Hello! Thank you so much for your video! I have a question - by the time you went to Croatia for the interview, did you stay permanently already? Or did you have to leave Croatia while waiting for something else to happen after that interview?

      Hi! Glad you found the video helpful :) I just stayed in Croatia in the meantime. I believe that once your application is being processed you are free to stay until it is concluded.

    Do I need to buy health/travel insurance for the whole year before I submit my application at the VFS centre? I checked some websites and I see that max duration for which travel insurance is issued is 180 days only. Your reply is greatly appreciated

    • @spenot09
      @spenot09  6 місяців тому

      Hi! Yes you will need health insurance for the entire period of stay. You will be asked to submit proof of this when making your initial application so it is needed.
      Do note that you need health insurance, not travel insurance which is maybe why some only offer it for 180 days. I personally went with Cigna who’ve been great!

      Hi, thanks for the compliment 😂 As long as you’re certain it is indeed apostilled (not just issued from your home country's Ministry) you should be good to go!
