If Alfie was never involved in the Ralfie drama(and the prince stuff) and they were just friends, we(or, I) would love him as someone competitive who was worried about not fitting in as he was from Switzerland fighting for international winners, making him a cold character and like a villain,(and he ignores it while dancing) However, he builds a connection with Riley that helps him come out of his shell, so by the end of the season, though they don’t win, he wins in his own life situations, giving him a better reason to leave.
I agree that him and Riley just should of stayed friends, but I don't think he would have been worried about fitting in , because he seemed to get along with the rest of the team fine.

Alfie should’ve ended up with Michelle they had a lot of close friendly moments and he seemed to care ab her.

Video idea: you could rank your favourite plot twists from The Next Step, such as Amanda being an agent and then the alternate, Latroy and Amy getting together, Piper and Finn kissing, Michelle getting her own troupe, the promise-ring scene, James rapping in The other Man, and random characters coming back in later seasons.

Tbh the only things that are memorable for me from the improv round were when "the mouse gives you a piece of cheese; take the cheese" and Alfie getting struck by lightning XD

I’m honestly really disappointed they turned Alfie into this drama king as the auditions made it clear he was a phenomenal dancer. He’s like the next Eldon but now everyone only remembers him for the Jiley drama. It’s a shame as I loved his audition
So glad that the Sunday vids are back- I have missed them. I am happy you took some time off to focus on yourself tho💕

I'm so glad you're feeling better because I saw the things you were posting on your insta stories about losing motivation and I was worried for you. I also wanted to say don't feel like you have to post if you are struggling or in a bad place, because ultimately your health is the most important thing, and it's good that you took time to recover. Video idea: Where would they be?
Basically, it’s a series when you think of the next step characters in 7 years, if they’re engaged, married, having kids, their career, in college (maybe even Harvard or Stanford wherever they are) especially since some people could be in their early 30s or late 20s....
ive already kind of done this if you want to check it out, but its one of my earliest videos, it's called 'the future of the next step' :)

In my opinion the green t-shirt person and Ben would have been a lot higher in the solo round.
But you give pretty constructive critics so I can see where you're coming from.

Ben, Jake and Nick wouldn't go in, because the actors were already old (they were the same age, if not older, than the original A-Troupe), they were just there to complete the extras. Already the former J-Troupes, like Gabi, Becca, Tyle and some anonymous (who are from the time of Noah and Richelle), deserved to be A-Troupe, more than LaTroy and Sloane
still don’t understand why all the people that went to internationals didn’t get automatic spaces on the team. like theyre literally the best in the world you need them on ur team lol
That's a good point when you put it like that... 😅 Maybe it would've been a good plot if the international winning a troupers were all automatically on the team again, but because Michelle and Amanda were alternates, they had to reaudition like the newbies?

Is it me or her final A-troupe is exactly the same that Kate created (before going away and leaving Riley as studio head, replaced in the team by Amanda)? The only difference is Riley instead of Amanda, or isn’t it?

I think miss Kate should have let the dancers decide what choreo style to dance to - in the morning it could have been a jazz/contemporary group dance and in the afternoon it could have been a hip hop/street group dance
I thought so too! I did say that but I cut it out because then I realised that ultimately the 'teacher' does decide what they're going to be doing so they'd probably want to actually see them do that style. For example my university audition was set choreography that was SO hard and had things like pushups in which at the time I couldn't do, but it gives the teachers a good idea of your ability. They like it when people at least give 100% even if it's not done perfectly.
I think the fact they still got to have solos was good because then if the choreo wasn't their strong suit they could show their actual ability.
@@mockingariana3 me too but I feel like for the solos I feel like miss Kate could have said put what type of dancer you are in the list like piper would say contemporary richelle Amy and richelle would say Afro and contemporary and Sloan me would say hip hop then she could maybe place the people in the freestyle by the song like piper Riley Amy could get a more contemporary song. I feel like Michelle’s audition for season four was good like when she did the turns into the split I liked it and pipers season four five audition I feel like was too repetitive only turns and kicks

I feel like season 8 Richelle has so much potential to show more emotion in her dancing but I'm so worried that they're gonna mess up the potential for her character growth
She's been robbed since she was introduced.Wont be surprised if they did

I was just wondering Alishea do you ever kind of get tired of doing TNS related videos? I know you enjoy doing these kind of videos because you feel like a judge lol but I was just wondering. And because of what you said in the intro I just thought maybe you would feel more motivated somtimes if you have more of a variety of videos to make? (Not that I get bored of the tns stuff lol I love them)
i actually don't get bored, i really like analysing and spending time planning videos on the topic of a show i like so much, particularly when it's usually revolving around the dance element. I'm just finding it hard to motivate myself for everything on a whole haha, nothing to do with my content itself :)

Very random thing that just popped into my head: Richellle is basically all the best of all of the girls in the 0% club. She had Amy's acro, Piper's contemporary, Sloane's hip-hop and Cassie's everything. Random I know but I felt the need to share lol
@@adhodhaqane8321 she didn't do it in thos audition, I was just referring to her as a whole dancer. But she also did good hip-hop lots of times for example the guys v girls hip-hop competition in S6, the workshops, the auditions for the qualifiers videos, etc.
I disagree, Amy dances a lot bouncer than Richelle in s4 (and smiles more), Richelle hasn't ever been seen to whack like Sloane, she isn't as expressive as Piper and I haven't seen Richelle do Piper's turn sequences. Richelle also doesn't have the extensions Cassie does, or once again the expressiveness. She's great but everyone has weak areas they can work on.

I loved that video but don't think stephanies improve section should have held any weight lol
They definitely would have been judging them on how they did during it, even if not as heavily as they were on the choreo, so I made it hold weight for me too! For example if Stephanie heard Skylar's reluctance to do it, she'd get the impression she was hard to work with or arrogant, influencing her overall when telling Kate who she thought was great overall in both improv and choreo. People like Alfie made a great impression, so I think it really did matter 😊

Is it just me or does everyone think Michelle shrunk in season 4?
Just wanted to acknowledge the fact that you used they/them pronouns for the extras because their gender isn't stated. It helps to normalize using they/them pronouns if you don't know a person's gender.
You can see thier gender if a person looks like a boy then it's a boy
Yes I like that. Particularly good to hear that tns has a character who uses they/them pronouns in s8.

@@mai._.mp13 yeah, I saw a reply from Alishea on her recent video about a new character from the off season who uses they/them pronouns. Good to finally have somewhat of a spectrum of lgbtq+ representation, it took so long for us to have somewhat main characters shown with decent representation. Looking forward to it
