- Its always fun whenever I get a chance to throw a pipe organ into the mix!
So, as per usual, I tried to stick close to the original. Song structure is the same, I just tweaked and added a couple of small things here and there.
To really go further with that gothic kind of vibe with the organ, I threw in some choir parts to accompany it.
I wound up changing the rhythm guitar part around 0:50. I decided to riff around a little, and also made up some simple leads to play alongside it.
Also, I kept imagining some slow, sinister laughter, so I threw one in starting at 1:50. Which then leads into some good 'ol fun noodling on the leads.
I also decided to beef up the rhythm guitars after the sinister laugh bit. Going from single/root notes, to power-chords, for more oomph!
I don't know what it is about this final section, but it really makes me feel kind of nostalgic. Like, it makes me think of the covers I've done from the previous Doom marathons. Just has a wonderfully Doomy-vibe to me.
Anyways, I hope you all enjoy my rendition of "Plummeting"! ~DAR

How many bangers does this man have to drop before he gets universally recognized 🤦
Another morning is starting well!
Hey, same. That was amazing to wake up, see that this dropped, and then waking up immediately to hear it
Wow, you dropped another banger!
Youre on fire lately!
Epic! Didn't expect it to get heavier towards the middle. You're really making it hard for me to listen to the original songs, let alone other people's covers.
Good cover dar
Choir segments just fit well with Plutonia themes.
you completely nailed the track's epic feel. good job.
also, you can try covering Mark Klem's Organic Gods. that is probably the most epic track I've heard in all of Doom's music.
Thanks, and "Organic Gods" is epic, indeed! I might try my hand at covering it once the Plutonia marathon is all finished up.
Dar music keeps the vibe fed and happy
Wondering if next one is Cry of Desperation or Run 'Em, Gun 'Em, Kill 'Em :D.
Gonna be saving "Cry of Desperation" for the big closer at the end of this Plutonia marathon. Otherwise, I would've jumped into the secret exit here in MAP15 =).
@@DAR-Davester2296 So when do you plan on covering Plunge Saw ?
@demonicmeatball The "Plunge Saw" cover is going to be at the end as well, right before "Cry of Desperation". "Plunge Saw" and "Cry of Desperation" will be like what "Dream, Dream Eternal" and "First Departure" were to the prior D64D2 marathon, respectively.
Shit do indeed go down, AT THE GLORIOUS TUNE OF: 0:00
Ah yes, the halfway point of this Marathon >:)
It's gonna be so fun playing with this and Brutal Doom: Schism.
Really loving this rendition, especially the loop point of this one! Great job as always!
Give the sense of ultimate desolation and the point the main character is at his physical peak but his mental rock bottom, hes seen enough
been waiting for this one :D
and please do plunge saw too!
Perfection
Keep up the amazing work dude! Plummeting was an awesome track and Twilight was an awesome map as well!
