Thank you for testing this car's MPG, there aren't a lot of tests out there cause everyone assumes no one cares for the S line, but I need a daily driver and a fun car in one. The daily driving part and highway cruising should be efficient. Nice to see that it can be.
Charlie, Perhaps I have become a little jaded but I was expecting this German car to beat the official number by an even wider margin. 😉
Your results match mine. My 2018 (B9) S4 has a lifetime average of 31 mpg over 62,000 miles riding on 19” PS4s in summer and 18” Hakkas in winter.
That is really good. My 05 chevy classic 2.2L 4 cylinder 140 hp gets about 32 mpg at 70. Technology has really maxe cars much more powerful while being fuel efficient .
My A4 45 has gotten as good as 45mpg cruising at 70mph on the 18in wheels. My dad's S5 Sportback on 20in wheels has gotten as good as 31mpg.
32 highway isn’t bad at all for a V6. I get that in my mazda3
