    EDWARD STEUERMANN, a member of Juilliard's piano faculty since 1948, has long been closely associated with the music of Arnold Schönberg and his disciples. Mr. Steuermann was the pianist in the first performance of Pierrot Lunaire in Berlin in 1912, and has performed this work many times under the composer's direction.
