The last stretch of Sahastra tal Trek
Day 6: MamleTal - Sahstratal - MamleTal
Distance: 12 kms
Altitude: 16000 ft or 4875 meters above sea level
Time taken: 6 hours with proper breaks in between
We started in the morning when the sun was shining on us, we were supposed to start it at 4 am but because of constant rainfall, we had to start at 9 am, it was a beautiful walk till Mamle Tal and then there was a steep climb towards the Sahastratal. We completed the trek on time and then it started snowing and raining the moment we decided to return back but it was so beautiful. We finished it gracefully. Day 7: MamleTal - Kush Kalyan
We decided to stay somewhere beyond Kyarki but because of non stop rain we kept on walking towards Kush Kalyan, it was 21kms, we were drenched in the rain completely, we took a shelter at the same place where we stayed when were doing uphill. One of the toughest day of our entire trek.
Day 8: Kush Kalyan- Belak
Distance: 14 kms
It was an easy day with a gradual up hill and then downhill. We enjoyed the trail and it was an amazing feeling to enjoy tree line again. We stayed at the same place where we were staying earlier, had a good meal and took a proper sleep.
Day 9: Belak- Kamad
Distance: 12 kms
It was our last day so we took our time in the morning to enjoy the sun and then we kept on walking without taking a break towards our last destination and guess what there was no rain today, Yayyy! we did enjoy the sun and then we entered into the civilization where we got our phone network and we were so happy to see people again.

May I know how much time it took for you to reach Summit from Mamletal ? You were supposed to start at 4:00 AM but couldn’t get when you started from base camp and when did you reach summit ? Also when did you reach Mamletal back.

We started around 8 am and we got back by 4pm.

Sorry, some more questions for better clarity.
Some trek itineraries mention the last camp at Lambtal, with a 4-hour round trip to the summit and back. Is this realistic?
Is Lambatal near Mamletal ? how long does it take to travel from Lambatal to the summit ?
