Thank you for posting this. I JUST bought these from Amazon, and they arrived yesterday. I thought about having a mechanic do the hookup, but now, I may do it. :) Looks really easy and I love that you showed how to tap those side running lights for the DRL. I wish I saw this video before buying... could have used your promo code. Alas... thanks again. I'm excited for my new lights.
Those are great looking lights. Some of the brightest after market ones ive seen.My 18 Oscar Mike Freedom Edition has mopar leds and they are so bright its like having fog lights on.To change mine out you have to break the clips for the housing since the light and the housing are one piece and to do aftermarket id have to replace the housing also but why bother when the leds are the best out there. For halos i just went with oracle rings and they are bright as hell. You should wire your halos to the fuse box so they are on all the time when your jeep on.Very great video you have a great channel.Good luck getting flashed by passing motorists with those lights i get flashed all the time and mine are factory.
I picked these up for my 2018 JKU, but they don't fight right, seems like they're hitting something when I try to install. Might have to trim the plastic a bit.
There is a lot I didn’t get to do in this video. It rained for about 3 weeks straight and I just said screw it and did everything in the rain. Thanks for checking out the channel I’ll see if I can’t get a pic up of the light pattern.
My Halos open up when remote start, the whole head lights turn on when handbrake gets released why is that? I did the whole instruction you did on your video. Is there a way this could change? Or it’s as it is?
Just ordered! Can I run the drl for the halo to my switchpod? I'm thinking I can run that yellow wire to my rough country mls6 and use the switch to turn then on and off separately.
Hi such a great video!! Now, could you please explain How did you connect the “red cramper” to wire the DRL. Im a learner, I have no idea how to deal with does cable, however I think it looks pretty simple..you just skip where to connect the DRL( I know it is too easy, basic connection) but I have no clue lol. Appreciate if you can tell me the name/brand of that connector and where to buy it. Thank you!!
Walmart or Lowe’s. You should be able to get a few in a multi pack wiring kit or buy them separately. Google quick splice connector and you will find them.
😂 I Don’t know why that’s funny. If the flag is not above your Jeep a bit or in the air stream it may not fly very well. I’ll measure it when I get home.
Jeep_tv thanks man, I’ve been trying to figure it out but no luck. The flag I got is 3x5 and the top of my pole is about 6 inches past the top of the Jeep. I flipped my 6 inch drop hitch to get it up there some more but still just kinda swirls around.
Dang it. I’m gonna go measure my flag now and see what the magic number is. I hate your having issues. Ok, my flag is 33x60 My flag pole is made up of a 3-1/4 drop hitch 1 - 60 in 3/4 pipe 1 - 6in 3/4 pipe 1- cap for the top 2 - couplings 1-cap for the bottom 1-3in pipe
So my flag pole is made up of: 2-3/4 in caps 2-3/4 in couplings 1-60 x3/4 pipe 1-6in x3/4 pipe 1-1-1/2 in pipe 2- small 3/4 in U joint clamps 1- 3-1/4 drop hitch receiver
WHat year is the jeep you put them on? I ordered them for my 13 and they don't fit. The maker says i need to modify something but they dont say what. Looks like yours went right in without issue?
Mine is a 2014. If the notches are not lining up, you should be able to take a sharp knife and cut it down a little. My wife’s lights on her Jeep I hade to do that. Hers was a 2013. It does suck but it’s the fastest way to get your lights on and installed.
@@Jeeptv that's the weird thing, The Notches seem to line up yet the light still won't go in. I was going to start shaving down the tabs to see if that was it but I feel like it's getting high centered somewhere else and I wasn't sure if I should be modifying the headlight or the bucket.
@@Brandovibe I would bolt it down with the ring bracket and send it. I don’t remember mine doing that but my wife’s was deff that way and had to adjust it as best as possible and just braced it down with the ring to hold it.
@@Brandovibe I just bought these for my 2013. The passenger side fit perfectly but the driver’s side didn’t fit exactly the same. Seemed to be getting hung up somewhere? As jeep_tv said, I aligned it with the tabs and screwed the ring on the best I could. So far, so good. Need to check the alignment after to make sure everything lines up.
question , I recently bought these headlights and installed then. but when I run them in auto or I turn the lights off or even in the day time running lights the high beam, low beam and the halo always on but only when I put the jeep in drive, when I put it in Park lights are in normal. I can switch to halo, running lights and or high beam.any help is appreciated
This typically happens if you have a Euro or Canadian Jeep. If you have a Superchips Flashcal pro tuner it can also fix the issue. You should still be able to control your high, low and halos DRL with your cluster from your steering wheel. If not it could possibly just be a wiring issue or you need to find the fuse that controls it and make sure its wired in properly or not jumped some how from a previous owner. Jeeps from out of country have different programming do to different road laws. It may take a flash of the computer with an OBD2 scanner app or tuner to fix the issue. Not really sure what the problem could be. Start at electrical and work your way back.
When I put my jeep in gear all the light function turn on. I wired off the side marker first then went to the fuse box and still had the problem. any suggestion?
Nice switch back to the OG grill!

Gorgeous lights!

Nice lights. Would have liked to see what the beam pattern look like. Think you could post that on IG?

You should be able to deff set up a switch for the halos from your switch pod. Sorry for the late response somehow I didn’t see your message.
Hey just want to ask, if u release the handbrakes does the headlight open too?

I hate scotch locks. Solder and shrink wrap for me.
How are these lights holding up ?
Still working. No fog or moisture in the lenses. They operate the same as the day I installed them.
Do you have a video on your radiator mod?
Thanks so much for checking out the video. Radiator mod? Are you talking about the Mesh behind my front grill? Like the mesh covering it?
Are they available for JL in a nine inch ?
jaggerlou Yes they are. You can follow the link and go check them out.

Hey man, what size flag did you use for you hitch pole? I think mine be too big because it’s not flying. It just flops around.
😂 I Don’t know why that’s funny. If the flag is not above your Jeep a bit or in the air stream it may not fly very well. I’ll measure it when I get home.

Ok, my flag is 33x60
My flag pole is made up of a 3-1/4 drop hitch
1 - 60 in 3/4 pipe
1 - 6in 3/4 pipe
1- cap for the top
2 - couplings
1-cap for the bottom
1-3in pipe
Total height 68in tall from the hitch.
So my flag pole is made up of:
2-3/4 in caps
2-3/4 in couplings
1-60 x3/4 pipe
1-6in x3/4 pipe
1-1-1/2 in pipe
