You're going to need that rebate. Superchargers in California are now 58cents/kWh.

If they gave me a Tesla, or any EV, I'd sell it right away. I don't want the headaches, or the stress. For me, time is also money, and it's valuable. I don't want to spend more than 10 minutes at a charging station.
If you’re traveling far often then I can totally see charging being inconvenient, but if not then charging at home is the best way to save time and money. Waking up to a full tank (or charge) every day is very convenient
Can you make a new list for the model 3 Highland. From what I have seen the federal tax credit is gone for it, the clean vehicle project is gone, you can't use a referral code, if you make more than $60,000 PG&E has no rebate. Is there any rebate you can get at all for the new model 3?
People beware of social media click bait. All though it sounds like simple math, this kind of post omits so many details, and makes it seem possible to get this at that price. Credits and rebates are two different things and one could make a big financial mistake following social media posters that are in it for content and numbers.

As of Oct 2023, I believe the CVAP has been closed because they have exhausted their funds. I wonder if the program will reopen next year. There is the Replace your ride program, but I'm not sure it is stackable. If your income is on the lower side and you have a car you want to replace that s older than 2007 model, you may want to check it out. You can get up to $9.500 for qualifying zip code and income level - but wait! This is supposed to be raised to $12,000 later this fall so keep an eye out for this. It's important to note that with the Replace your ride program you need to purchase the car from a participating dealer - as far as I know Tesla is not participating in this program. But you can buy an used tesla from one of the dealers.

The last incentive only qualifies for approved dealerships. I don’t believe any Tesla “dealerships” are on the qualifying list.
Tesla is on the list, but it also has vehicle requirements, price include tax and everything needs to be within $45000, so I think only model 3 with the inventory discount might qualify for this program.

Now if in 2023 i an making $100,000k, could i get the low income rebate of $7,500 (from my 2022 taxes) AND the federal tax rebate from 2023 ?? So could i get both the rebates? Thank you

@@jaggykaur4267 yea i did buy a tesla. It should work. You can qyalify for both tsx rebates n tax credits. You can also use ur 2021 or 2022 taxes to get the increased rebate of $7,500
Then you can use ur 2023 taxes to get the fed taxes of $7500

My mom is retired ( fed Agi is under 55k) so put the tesla in both our names and getting CA rebate from her ( i don’t qualify for max rebate) and EV fed credit from me, food for thought

Also So Cal incentives. But at this point, or has been, everyone in the city I live in is driving a freakin white Tesla. You see them everywhere and it devalues the sentimental value of them the more you see them. They all look the damn same, even if a different model. Might be the smart choice to buy, but Volvo's have been making slick looking EV's you rarely see on the road that's caught my attention.

You can be a lottery winner. Let's say a poor immigrant in a low income neighborhood. Buy a lottery ticket because poor people play more than others. Win 100k. California lottery isnt taxable income for Cali so add to your 50k wages for fed but only 50k for state income.

This is stupid. Not 15000 k. If you are low income. You will not get the 7500 federal tax credit because likely you wont pay any taxes thus the california credit kicks in. Misleading or am I mistaken. Or is there another loophole.

If you are low income AND owe no taxes then no but if you do owe taxes then yes.
You can up your withholding now to pay less taxes from pay check and create a tax liability to use it!
Technically, you could be really low income and make some good $$$ in the stock market, end up with capital gains and if your capital gains tax is high enough, along with what you already owe for your normal job, you could actually make it work. Of course, you'd have to be a rare situation where you have enough $$$ in savings to be screwing around in the stock market, but also have a terrible job that pays hardly anything. I'm actually in this boat. I could actually get 15k off a Model 3 doing this, which is pretty freaking crazy. My only problem is, I think Model 3's are ugly as F.
