Yeah, there wasn't a body to bury or cremate for Sirius after he was hit with the killing curse and his body fell through the veil. So, it even felt a little weird in the books. However, they left out the part where Harry completely loses his sh!t at Dumbledore for keeping away from him and for Sirius dying. He literally destroys his office over anger and grief, throwing all his belongings and smashing stuff. But Dumbledore lets him. He knew the grief Harry felt and would feel and Dumbledore blamed himself for keeping Sirius isolated and hidden because he was wanted. Sirius was also depressed about things. It's complex but definitely recommend you reading the series or buying the audiobooks.
@wwhn I know you like books because you've mentioned some before. I highly recommend reading this one. one of the things that always annoyed me was they took the longest book and turned its adaptation into the shortest film. smh
13:36 "Period. You brought her up." Literally the best reaction i have ever seen to Harry popping off! 😂😂😂 Most reacters are like "Omg, Harry. Too far!" I was cackling, because PERIOD!
Harry is an extremely gifted wizard. Mastering a patronus charm at 13 is incredibly advanced. He particularly excelled in defense magic, as shown in this movie.
He had better marks than anyone in that class including Hermione plus people have been trying to kill through school could how scary that would be for an eleven year old
book spoiler !! so the reason its always a new dark arts teacher is because voldemort put a curse on the job after being denied twice by dumbledore so whoever got position, they’d lose it
There's actually a really funny clip on UA-cam of Alan Rickman doing helium on the Jimmy Fallon show. Sadly one of the last things he did before finding out he was sick.
When you was giving Sirius his flowers 💐 and talking about how you wanted him to take in Harry and be a family and raise him I was like oh baby when you get to the end you gonna lose it. When I read it in the books I stopped reading and cried like I lost a family member because I was too devastated omg…. I love your reactions ❤love the content.
Editing it I was literally like I was so hopeful 😭 my poor Sirius! And I’m so sorry to hear that I can only imagine how you felt in the moment love and thank you so so much 🤍🤍
So the veil he fell through was the veil between life and death. In the books, the group goes through rooms dedicated to the deepest magic: love, death, time, etc. the veil room was the room focus on life and death. Hell fell through the veil into the afterlife. Bellatrix also used the killing curse. It’s specified by a green jet of light. In the book Harry gets to go through the stages of grief: denial, rage, depression, etc. it’s way more centered to the end of the book. Hope this helps!
Imelda Staunton did a fantastic job playing a character who was more hated than the story's main villain. The fact that Umbridge was more hated than Voldemort himself makes the scene where she gets carried away like firewood by the centaurs that much more satisfying. When I first saw Grawp, I thought he looked like the illustrated kid on the cover of MAD Magazine, Alfred E. Neuman. Also.... Cornelius Fudge, after seeing Voldemort: He's back.... Me, sarcastically: *Gee, if only someone said that the previous year and at the hearing. Oh, wait....*
The wall was like a portal to the dead people and Sirius fell in it after Bellatrix hit him with the spell. Keep going, you will ball your eyes out in the sixth one, its the best film of the whole story!
😭 that makes sense now because Harry asked if anyone else can hear them and only him and the Targaryen could hear them because they witnessed death 😭😭😭 I’m not readyyyyyyyyy
I love that short scene that shows Ron sitting on his bed looking up at Harry after he wakes up from his nightmare. It shows that he is concerned about Harry and can't sleep when he hears his best friend clearly going through something.
Love love love your reactions! You’re so empathetic and you pick up on so much others miss. As far as someone saying you don’t realize how powerful Harry is, that’s completely understandable since the movies usually leave out important contextual information about what he’s been able to do that full grown wizards struggle with. The fact that Harry was able to conjure a full formed animal patronus and not just a shield, is actually wild. But again, there is no way you’d know that from just watching the movies. You’re doing great! Like the others have mentioned, the next few movies are emotional so strap in!
Thank you so much! I really try to look at things a little deeper and see everyone’s side majority of the time if it’s necessary. And I mentioned this in my recent video after reading this comment yesterday. So thank you for this knowledge because I didn’t realize. Harry definitely puts in work I think sometimes it’s just overshadowed by Hermoine. And I watched Half blood Prince today and….yea I was a mess!
I agree with you that what the creator said was insensitive! What was the name of this Tik Toker out of curiosity? It doesn't really explain it in the movie, but prior to flying off - Moody placed a Disillusionment charm on people so no one could see them flying around the city. They don't feel the place expanding because it technically doesn't 'move'; the place is hidden from sight of anyone without the Secret. It's called a Fidelius Charm. It puts the secret knowledge of something inside someone - that person is called the Secret Keeper. Those the Secret Keeper tells, are basically brought into the secret and can see whatever the secret was hiding (if that makes sense). It's how the Potters went into hiding when they knew they were marked for death. Peter Pettigrew was the Potter's Secret Keeper. Sirius was going to be their Secret Keeper however, Peter convinced them to change it to *him* because, he explained, You-Know-Who would not expect *Peter* to be the Secret Keeper - most would think that Sirius would have been as you have to trust your Secret Keeper to protect the secret, and they figured that Voldemort would try to find the Secret Keeper to torture or force the secret out of them to get to the Potters. When Sirius had realized that Peter had turned traitor Sirius went to confront Peter - Peter blew up the street, killing several muggles in the process, cut his own finger off and transformed into a rat to escape in order to frame Sirius for his death and implying that Sirius was the one who had turned traitor to the Potters, leading Voldemort to their house, because *of course* Sirius would have been the Potter's Secret Keeper in most people's eyes. Also, the Room of Requirement, does not show up on the Marauder's Map - it's stated in the book, and I think in the extended edition it's mentioned (I think? don't quote me). It is also not fully explained in the movie but in the book it's said that you can be VERY specific with the RoR, by stating in your mind, say "I want a place that cannot be found by ___" or "I don't want to be found by anyone with ill intent" etc etc or whatever, which is why when Filch was camped out in front of the 'entrance', the room would actually create a door in another location, and when the mistletoe grows over Harry and Cho's heads for their first kiss...the RoR was the perfect wingman lol! Things to keep in mind for future movies - What I just said about the Fidelius Charm - and the way the Room of Requirement looks, like the sweeping architecture inside with the arches that stop halfway down I love your hatred of Umbridge lol - I think they did a phenomenal job with her casting and the actress portraying her was absolutely on point! Your editing had me in stitches lol So so hyped to see you continue the series, the next three are imo my top 3 - Half-Blood Prince is probably my favorite out of all of the books!

4:32 That's the stupidest thing I've ever heard, who was this Tiktoker? It's explained in the books that the Triwizard Champions would never have been in actual 'deadly' danger in the Cup (you could expect to be injured perhaps). In PREVIOUS Cups, back before they were cancelled (the Cup hadn't been held in a really long time), yes those were much more dangerous and there were deaths, which is WHY the Cup was cancelled. The people in charge were bringing back the Cup with new safeguards and everything. The only factor that was outside their control is that a murderous lunatic was messing everything up. There's actually just too many notes for me to refer to from the books about this but the person saying Cedric doesn't deserve to be mourned is either forgetting a lot of info, or just doesn't know what they're talking about at all.
I love your reactions so much, i always smile while watching them, dont know why tho😂. I know i commented it on some other video of yours but i think you'd like the series The ECLIPSE. Also I think the next episode of Harry Potter is my fav so im looking forward to seeing your reaction.❤
Aw I’m glad I can make you smiiiileeee 🥹 and yes I filmed the Half Blood Prince today! So it should be out next weekend and eclipse is on my list of things to watch! ☺️
I think the reason Sirius gets such a sudden, unceremonious death is because sadly that's the way it happens most of the time. I also think the fact he doesn't get any kind of huge memorial is because (sadly again) Sirius died with nearly everyone believing him to be a Death Eater and a betrayer of the Potters. I do agree that they could have spent more time on the death and addressed it better while still giving his death that too-sudden-to-be-real element. If they had focused more on Harry's grief after the fact, it would have felt more balanced I think. Still, very much enjoying going on this Harry Potter journey with you!
Yeah, I know they probably thought it wasn’t necessary but I think they should’ve kept the scene that was in the book, where Harry is so grief stricken and angry after Sirius dies he starts to yell at dumbledore ans destroy his office while dumbledore sits there and lets him. Harry heavily blames dumbledore for Sirius death by keeping him in the dark, and he blames himself. I know some people get annoyed with book Harry in order of the Phoenix with how angry he is and lashing out at everyone, but it really shows how much he’s struggling with the trauma and no one listening to him or telling him anything. Even a scene of Harry going up to nearly headless nick to ask about ghosts, because he’s convinced Sirius isn’t fully gone and would come back as a ghost because he wouldn’t leave him. Then there’s the whole mirror thing the movie cuts out which shows how tragic it is, and it’s surprising they cut it out since they still keep stuff that happens with it in the later movies.
Omg no. I don’t want you to waste your time doing the Avatar reactions but I only watched bc of you. I love how you look for the positive for everything. But I digress… thanks for the reactions either way.
You’re so sweet like honestlyyy 😭 I recorded episodes 3 and 4 but deleted them when I seen no one was watching them. But honestly definitely check it out on your own because to me it was really good.
Yea I finished the series hoping you would do the whole thing. Again I’m glad you did out something out bc it pushed me to watch. Also idk if you know that black creator on TikTok/insta who just started reading Harry Potter; funnily enough she’s reading Order of the Phoenix same time this review came out. You both just are so positive and on Harry’s side, the parallels are paralleling.

19:55 Love It! I saw a meme that showed the books if Hermione was the lead character. It was I book vs 7 for Harry. The implication is that Hermione would have been on that sh!t in no time at all. 😂
I actually ship Harry and Hermione from the very beginning cause I think their pairing makes more sense. Please don't attack me for this. Just my opinion.
Ya it’s true Harry is not some extraordinary powerful wizards like most chosen ones plot lines. Sure he excelled in some areas like defense and flying but hermione is excellent in a much broader range of skills and a true prodigy. Harry’s true skill is bravery and loyalty
Hermione isn’t a prodigy she works hard there’s a difference she studies all the time she incredibly bright yes and Harry is smart but he doesn’t show it and in the books he’s described as intelligent and capable to work under pressure and Harry is powerful actually for thirteen year old to produce a corporeal patronus is astounding much less than casting the dementors away and plus he’s fought Voldemort more times as a child than an any other adult
I get that Sirius’ death was a little “off”, growing up on these movies - to me it always hit, but i can see how others are confused/are not a fan of it, especially when comparing it to Cedric’s death “scenes”, it happens so quick for Sirius and so late in the movie, that right afterwards we jump into the “wrap up” portion of the movie, it just seems like while wrapping up the story they went “okay well i guess thats the end for Sirius, let’s start the next one”
Daniel had lost his grandma the day before filming Sirius dying. The scream that Harry yells was soo painful that they had to cut the scream from the film that’s why that scene was quiet. The pain was genuine.
That's not true. He was literally acting that well. The director muted it because Daniel was so powerful in the scene. The rumor about him acting like that bcuz his Gramma dying has been debunked. 🕊️💙🕯️
the people didn’t want themmm 😭 I even had the next two episodes filmed but decided to jump shit to avoid wasting my time and 90% of my subscribers time lol
You’re right about it not being shown clearly in the movies but while Hermione is an amazing, well rounded, well studied witch, she is not as good as Harry at performing magic in dangerous situations. In class or in exams, she’s the best for the most part but when it comes to real life, particularly with defensive spells, Harry is better. He’s better at thinking on his feet whereas Hermione is a problem solver and a planner. It’s shown better in the books, the movies tend to show Hermione being perfect at everything. Harry has more of a natural talent for certain things, he’s not a rule follower and he doesn’t apply himself in anything he’s not interested in, so most of his classes, which means he’s pretty average at classes like potions, charms and transfiguration. Defensive against the dark arts was the only class he ever bet Hermione in, in terms of class work and exams. He’s well above his age in development in that subject plus he’s had real “field” experience in battling people and facing danger. Hermione develops over the books but mostly she has the knowledge, planning and hard work element despite freezing up or struggling to think clearly in real life practical settings.
Harry is best in his year at defence against the dark arts and broom flying. The films give too much credit to Hermione who in the books, has trouble producing a patronus. Expecto patronus is useless against death eaters. It is only used against dementors and to send messages.
This book is my favorite but the movie isn't because of my love for Sirius Black's character and disrespect of the levity of his death. BooK Spoiler kinda, After Sirius dies and they get back to Dumbledores office Harry is Hella mad and throwing all his stuff around his office and yelling at him making Dumbledore cry. We got NONE of that in the movie. Disrespectful
I definitely plan on it. Have Young Royals to start and finish but I want to start Skam remake reaction and I will choose another BL to go alongside for weekly uploads ☺️
You're not alone feeling meh about this one. Even for book readers and long time movie watchers this one feels like filler. Overall, not the strongest of the series.
@wwhn Absolutely agree with you! Technically, they gave that scene a lot of the visual details from the book, but not at the same time. It lacked the feeling that very quick moment had. But it's hard to translate the feelings and thoughts that were described in the book into the movie. I rank this one as one of my least favorite purely because of that, and some character details missing that I personally felt were important about Ginny and Neville. But not at the bottom because they did a remarkable job bringing Umbridge to life.
Dumbledore always calls Voldemort by his muggle name just to spite him 😂
Yeah, there wasn't a body to bury or cremate for Sirius after he was hit with the killing curse and his body fell through the veil. So, it even felt a little weird in the books. The hate was ridiculous. I genuinely liked it a lot!
@@wwhn me too! I can’t wait to see Aang with all four elements fighting!
after the harry potter series you should do the fantastic beasts movies they are prequels to harry potter
You know what’s crazy I seen those movies when they came out because I was interested before evening watching this series. I wish I would have waited.
Im not missing this for anyone!!

Waiting for your reaction to moonlight chicken 🥹🙏
Totally agree Sirius deserved a better/more thought out death
Yess one of the best characters in my opinion
I love your videos
This book is my favorite but the movie isn't because of my love for Sirius Black's character and disrespect of the levity of his death. BooK Spoiler kinda,
After Sirius dies and they get back to Dumbledores office Harry is Hella mad and throwing all his stuff around his office and yelling at him making Dumbledore cry.
We got NONE of that in the movie. Disrespectful
Please post the rest of the Avatar 🙏😭
I finished it on my own love 🥹
I don’t know if you plan on reacting to another bl series but if you do please check out “My tooth your love, My beautiful man, and Jun and jun”
I definitely plan on it. Have Young Royals to start and finish but I want to start Skam remake reaction and I will choose another BL to go alongside for weekly uploads ☺️
Day 3 of casually recommending the cutie pie series and love in the air series❤
Great reaction❤

@@wwhn your reaction is the best keep going 👏🏻😍

You're not alone feeling meh about this one. Even for book readers and long time movie watchers this one feels like filler. Overall, not the strongest of the series.
To me it was good, I just wished Sirius got a better send off. Especially from seeing Cedric’s and what happens in the Half Blood Prince 😩
