Very nice: your throwing and trimming are very precise and graceful. I have never seen the type of level you used with the plastic tray and chuck-can you advise of a source for this level? Thank you.
Thank you for your comment Tmeadows😊. This is called a round spirit level. You can by any online shopping site and very reasonable price. A large size is much easier to use.
This is a nice design but my question, from a inexperienced potter, concerns slumping during firing. How much clay, width wise between the holes, do you leave to prevent slumping?
Thank you for your comment Liese😊. It’s a good question. When the clay gets thinner and angled the slump risk will increase. It also depends on the kiln temperature and pot’s location in the kiln. The type of the clay also needs to be considered. This time all pots didn’t slump. I used circle design and even very thin wall with many holes. when I made lampshade (you can see in my channel) one of them slumped as the cut line was long tall one. So, if you don’t want to slump the pot, teardrop shape pots with circles pattern would be the good start. I hope you try this project.
Such a great video and I love the form of this hanging piece.

Hello. Please, do you cut. a hole in the bottom for water to drain out, or use dry flower ideas like rocks for cactus? Thank you, it is very nice :)
Thank you for your question 😊 For the outside use please make a hole at the bottom. For the indoor use No hole and as you describe is perfect!
